Who do you serve?

"And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the amorities, in whose land ye dwell: but for me and my house. We will serve the Lord." (Joshua 24:15)

We have to decide whom we are going to serve. Do we obey God, or do we look to those idols that we have set before God? Anything that takes time away from God is as an idol. Watching too much TV, spending extra time perfecting your yard, anything that is set higher than God. I'm not saying that we can't have nice things, but we are not to covet anything for ourselves. This is the tenth commandment. Our desire for God should far out weigh anything that is materialistic. Whatever that you store up, you will spend most of your time thinking about. Why not put all that energy in a God that will never fail, will provide every need for you? Here is a simple thought. Ask yourself what occupies your thoughts, your time and your
