What do you praise Him for......

When you wake up in the morning do you praise Him for another day before your feet hit the floor?

Do you praise Him for His mercies new each morning?

Do you praise Him for that next breath?

Do you praise Him for His faithfulness?

Do you praise Him for His unmerited favor?

Do you praise Him for His Love that He reveals to us?

Do you praise Him for the storms in your life?

Do you praise Him for the strength to carry on through the storm?

Do you praise Him for the strength that He gives you daily?

Do you praise Him for the peace that passes all understanding?

Do you praise Him for the work He has done in you?

Do you praise Him for the work He has done in your life?

Do you praise Him in advance for what He is going to do in your life?

Do you praise Him for His loving kindness?

Do you praise Him for the sunshine and rain?

Do you praise Him for your family?

Do you praise Him for your friends?

Do you praise Him for those special people that He has set before you?

Do you praise Him for His keeping power?

Failure is a teacher

"Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth." Mark 9:23

Do you think that failure is an enemy to being successful?

Do you keep on getting up after each failure or do you quit?

Have you sat down and looked at the pieces to try to figure out why you keep failing?

Failure is a teacher - a harsh one, but the best.

Failure can be used as a teacher for faith.

Failure will bring us to our knees.

Failure will give us the faith and strength that will carry you through.

The greatest lesson failure can teach is that God is supreme.

Our failures reminds us that God is supreme and not us.

God is sovereign!

We can not dictate to God; we are the ones who want to lay down the terms or conditions; we want to give the orders. We want God to be the listener.

We must come to Him on His terms, not ours!

God is always at work in all our affairs, even in all those failures.

God does more than we can ever imagine.

In our failures we are being prepared by God.

We are to be His instruments.

God is not intimidated.

God is able.

We can live with any defeat, or discouragement, any despair, anything that comes our way, because He reigns forever!

We may fail, we may feel defeated, but God is at work.

While we walk it out, God is working it out!

"If God can be for us, who can be against us?" Romans 8:31b

In God's eyes the only failure that is a sin is realizing what God intends to do and we fail to do it.

"Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin." James 4:17

If you are in Christ you are not a failure!

In God, you are useful, and significant now and forever more!

Have you been hurt?

"But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them that despitefully use you, and persecute you;" Matthew 5:44

Have you been hurt?

Do you have a genuine desire to forgive those enemies, but have a hard time doing so?

Do you pray for forgiveness for those who have wronged you?

If you have not, why not?

Hurting people are usually people who have been hurt themselves.

When we pray for those that have wronged us, or hurt us it will generally bring them to a place of true repentance.

Praying for them will bring them to a place where they can see that they have been causing hurt to others.

We need to pray blessings to those who have hurt us, abused us, misused us, or those who have cruel attitudes towards us.

We are praying for them to be blessed, not their works, but them as individuals.

"But I say unto you which hear, love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,

Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you." Luke 6:27-28

We need to ask God to show mercy upon them, and not judgment.

"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap." Galatians 6:7

Blessing your enemies is part of the process of forgiveness.

One of the meanings of the word bless is to speak well of.

When we curse someone we are speaking evil of them.

When we have been mistreated we generally talk to other people about what has been done to us.

We need to have someone to talk to sometimes to help aid in our healing.

We need to take it to the throne before we go to the phone!

We are not to speard a bad report, or ruin a reputation of anyone; doing so goes against God's Word.

We are not to gossip, slander or carry tales of any kind.

"He that covereth a transgression seeketh love; but he that repeateth a matter seperateth very friends." Proverbs 17:9

We have to go to God with what was done to us!

We can go to those whom we feel it is necessary for some reason or other; but we are not to talk loosely about the problem or the one whom caused it.

When those who do not need to know, or those that have spoken loosely of the problem to them it will take even longer to recover from their hurts and wounds; and will have put out vain or useless information that could in long term hurt them or the one whom hurt them.

"But I say unto you, That every Idle word that men shall speak, they shall give an account thereof in the day of judgment." Matthew 12:36

We must disipline ourselves to bear it silently and trust in God's Word.

God will reward us for honoring His Word!

Listening - A form of Love

"Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear.... " James 1:9

Do you live in a state of uneasy truce with others?

Are you making your home a heaven or an outpost of hell?

Do you communicate well with others?

Listening is a lost art!

We hear what is said, but we do not listen.

We as a people are so hungry for someone to listen to us, that we will call for appointments and pay someone to listen to us.

Do you wish that sometimes someone would listen to you - really listen - to you?

God listens!

God listens and we do not have to pay!

When the scriptures was written they knew that God is a listener.

"This shall be written for the generations to come; and the people which shall be created shall praise the Lord.

For He hath looked down from the height of the sanctuary; from heaven did the Lord behold the earth;

To hear the groaning of the prisoner; to loose those that are appointed to death;

To declare the the name of the Lord in Zion, and His praise in Jerusalem;" Psalm 102: 18-21

God is able to detect the faintest signals for help from a hurting man, woman or child.

God can distinguish between the groans and sobs; as we sob, and knows that we need the Lord's help.

Jesus is the master listener!

The more that we become acquainted with God, the more we become aware of His listening skills.

Caring is more important than just knowing!

Caring is listening.

Listening is taking the other seriously.

Listening with love is allowing the other person to become.

When we listen with love we are accepting the other person just as they are.

Love begins from you and me.

Love comes from what God has already done in our life.

Listening is love in action!

"Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another." I John 4:11

Do you complain?

"Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves." John 6:43

Complaining is a Sin!

It is a form of conversation that causes many people a great deal of problems in their life.

It opens the doors for the enemy.

Our words contain power.

When we complain, or grumble or murmur we are using destructive power.

When we complain those words eat away at away the joy of the one who is complaining, or grumbling, or murmuring.

When one complains or grumbles or murmurs it not only affects that person, but it also affects the other people who listen to them.

"Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers." Ephesians 4:29

We have been told that we are not to use foul polluting language.

Murmuring, or complaining pollute our lives.

Murmuring and complaining is just as bad as cursing.

Murmuring and complaining is verbal pollution.

Verbal pollution is poison.

When we murmur and complain we stay in that current situation.

Not only do you poison what you are doing now, but it effects the future.

When we truly are thankful we will not complain, or grumble or murmur.

When we are truly thankful we will have no time to notice what we could complain about.

When we find ourselves in a negative situation, we have to overcome it with good.

Praise and thanksgiving are good, grumbling and complaining are evil.

We need to learn to praise Him in the storm.

We must learn to choose good!

"Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good." Romans 12:21

We must learn to fill our thoughts with good things.

We must learn to fill our conservation with good things.

If we do not fill our thoughts and conservation with good thoughts they will be filled with evil thoughts.

"Do all things without murmurings and disputings." Philippians 2:14

Faith is Trust.

"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Hebrews 11:1

Faith is not a matter of proofs.

Faith is a matter of trust!

There is no substitute for trust.

No one can manufacture faith.

God will be known through all our adventures.

These adventures become a deep and lasting friendship.

We must put our trust in God!

We must put our trust, our confidence in Him even in those tough problems that we think we can solve on our own, but can't.

We must put our trust in Him through those recurring doubts.

We must put our trust in Him through all those unanswered questions.

We must put our trust in Him in everything that we go through on a daily basis.

We must take God at His Word!

God's Word remains faithful.

If your house was burning, and your child ran back in upstairs and was surrounded by fire. The child then yelled at you - what would you do? Would you yell up and say that you would catch your child? Would your child have enough faith to be caught by you? What if the smoke was so bad that they couldn't see you, but you can see the child. The child finally jumped - that is faith.

We may say that we can not see God.

God can see us!

It is just as that little child that could not see there parent because of the smoke, but still jumped to safety because the child had the faith to believe that they were to be caught.

That child trusted the word of his parent, so it is with God.

We have His Word!

We must take Him at His Word.

We have the personal pledge of a personal God.

Won't you take your leap of faith?

"They that trust in the Lord shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth forever." Psalm 125:1

God cares for you!

"Casting all your care upon Him, for He careth for you." I Peter 5:7

Do you consider yourself a hermit?

Do you think that you are done with the human race as a whole?

Are you ready to quit?

Are you having a hard time hanging in there?

Do you find yourself more in the company of animals than people?

All of us to some degree are in some sort of group for some part of our life. We are in school dormitories, a marriage, a barracks, even in a ship's company. There are people that we see on a daily basis if we work, or a regular class that we take once a week, on a bowling team, or even at church.

Almost all of use interact with someone, a part of each day.

Not always do we get along with everybody all the time.

One of the most challenging areas of our life can be those relationships.

If you tuck yourself away and are with animals all day, maybe you need to look and repriortize your situation.

When we first open up God's word He invites us into His little group, or community, His family. God also made it clear that we are to be with people so we are not alone.

"And the Lord God said, It is not good that man should be alone;" Gensis 2:18

God plans for us to live our lives in contact with others.

We were made to share our life with our friends and acquaintances.

No matter who we are or what we do, life was made to share, to give life to others.

If we do not use our life to give to others, then we fail to fulfill God's will for us.

He has an interest in each one of us!

He would never go to the length of not having any interest in us, as we occasionally do with others.

God is interested in each one of us!

God loves us regardless!

There is a satisfaction in knowing that God Loves us regardless!

We as humans are special to God!

We maybe less than perfect in our ways, but God loves us still the same.

He has not written us off!

God has not quit on us!

He has given His Word!

He continues to relate to us in love.

There was One who hung upon the cross to give us the assurance that God is "hanging in there" with us.

God sees you as a person, someone special.

We are a name to God!

God knows each and everyone of us by name!

You give life, You give death!

"Death and Life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof." Proverbs 18:21

Do you have power in your life?

Are you always talking negative about someone else?

Do you speak negative about yourself?

Do you speak kind, gentle uplifting words?

Do you speak strong words of wrath?

Do you think that your mouth has a mind of it's own?

Is your mouth always getting you into trouble?

Do you want to make your words work for you?

We already have a great power that God has given us!

Whatever we speak it shall come back to us.

Do you speak death and destruction, or do you speak words of life?

"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting." Galatians 6:6-7

Did you know that there is not a word that is said that He doesn't already know about; good or bad, that you have already said.

"For there is not a word in my tongue, but lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether." Psalm 139:4

He knows what has already been said yesterday, earlier today, and what you will say tomorrow. He even knows what you are thinking about saying.

We can not expect God to pour out His blessing upon us if we are not pouring out blessings, and love, and compassion form our mouths. If we are putting out hate, wrath, destruction, being judemental, harsh words coming out, false speaking or even speaking wickedly.

We can not keep speaking curses and expect Him to bless us!

We can not just say whatever we want, when we want to!

Our life can preach to people by the way in which we live and carry our life before God.

"So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto Me void, but it shall accomplish that which it please, and shall prosper in the ting where to I sent it." Isaiah 55:11

We must seek out His will and do it.

We must not speak idle words, but those words of life.

His Words are powerful, they are full of life, they will not return void, but do that which He has set forth to accomplish.

We must use our mouth to bless God, bless our friends and family, our co workers, and even ourselves.

There is no place in our society for unfruitful words!

A kind word turns away wrath.

Once you have said a word it has already been planted and you can not take it back and start over no matter how much you want to.

Watch over what kind of words that you plant!

Plant good seeds and watch them flourish.

Plant bad seeds and watch them die.

Which kind of seed do you want to be responsible for?

God loves us for who we are!

"Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows." Matthew 10:31

Have you ever felt as if you are second best?

Do you ever feel that you are living in someone else's shadow?

Have you ever felt that you are less than a person in your own right?

Have you ever felt that the dignity of being human importance has been denied?

Just because we are not first in all that we do does not mean that we are a failure!

Just because we are not top dog does not give us the right to be in despair.

Don't let this worldly life cheat you of all that God has for you!

"But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first." Matthew 19:30

We may go through seasons of insignificance, but we are not insignificant in God's eyes.

God looks upon us with value.

God does not regard us as a number.

With God we are not just a statistic.

Each of us are unique.

Each are special to God.

There is a song that we sing and I believe that we not only feel this way about Him, But He feels this way about each one of us.

"There is No one like you

No One else in this world will do,

I could search for All eternity long

And find

No One Like You!"

written by: Lenny LeBlanc

God has never loved you anymore, can not love you any less!

God has a plan for your life!

"He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of Man; The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;"

God has a purpose for you!

God has a purpose in life for you to fulfill!

You are not here by accident!

You have a destiny in God to fulfill!

How do I do that?

You can find out the purpose for your life, the life that God has for you.

All you have to do is start to seek Him.

Don't give up!

God will answer you.

"Let your conservation be without covetoueness; and be content with such things as ye have: for He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." Hebrews 13:5

You must find out your purpose by seeking God.

God has planned our lives before the world was created.

God wants to plant each one of us so that we can begin to bloom and bring forth fruit in season.

"Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began." 2 Timothy 1:9

In God's hands we are the "seed" and the world is His field.

It is just as if you were planting a garden, what one plants is that which they expect to come up; example: you plant corn you expect a corn stalk to come up; same as if you plant beans, or carrots.... What you plant is what you expect to get.

The children of Israel wandered in the wilderness due to doubt and unbelief.

They missed their purpose in their life.

If we have no vision, no purpose we will walk in circles repeating what we have already been through.

Without a vision, a purpose one tends to start blaming God for their failures.

One will start blaming everyone else, but themselves.

One will become bitter, and mad at other people, and God.

One will eventually die from being bitter.

All will give an account for how they lived life.

Those who seek God will find a purpose.

Those who seek God will have a vision to follow.

Once we are planted, we need to stay there and blossom.

God will tell you where you are to be planted!

Listen to him!

Won't you seek Him to find our the purpose that He has for your life?

A mighty Weapon!

"Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands. Sing forth the honour of His name; make His praise glorious. All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; and they shall sing unto thy name. Selah" Psalm 66:1,2,4

There are a lot of people out there today that are running around and saying that God's gift ceased, that they died as the apostles died.

I'm here to tell you that they did not die.

So many of you have been robbed of your blessing. Supernatural signs and wonders that the Bible promises shall accompany the gospel in Jesus name!

God has not forgotten how to heal!

He is still in the healing and miracle business!

We must be taught in our churches to Believe for these things, Jesus said, that these signs will only follow those that believe for them.

When we worship God, He comes and inhabits our praises with His manifested presence.

God created music to worship Him, then He can come and touch us through praise and worship.

God so longs to heal and deliver His people.

Are we willing to let Him?

Do we actually believe that He can do more for us than this world in which we live?

Music can go where words can not.

Music is the universal language of the heart across the globe.

We need not a translator for music.

Music is a very valuable connection between the Spiritual realm, and the natural realm.

As we learn to yield ourselves fully to the Holy Spirit, He can and will empower us through worship and anointed music to bring that healing from heaven to those who need it.

God will open up the heavens and get those miracles to us and will drive out the devil and all his work.

What a mighty weapon!

anointed music and worship.

David as he played his harp for Saul drove out those devils. (I Samuel 16)

We must begin to believe for these things.

We can watch the Bible come to life before us as we worship and make music before His throne!

Let us watch god come by the anointing of the Holy Spirit with healing and deliverance every time.

"But unto you that fear My name shall the Son of righteousness arise with healing in his wings;" Malachi 4:2

Saturday, May 20, 2006

A call to righteousness.

"For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them." Ephesians 2:10

We were a nation that was built upon God.

Our nation was built and founded upon those principles set before us from the righteous One.

"And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness." Ephesians 4:24

We as a nation must return to righteousness.

We need to return to that truth that we once believed.

We must return to those laws in which God has once written upon our hearts.

We must learn to love our neighbor.

We must stop the hate that we have towards our brothers and sisters.

"And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith." Acts 15:9

We must stop the violence toward one another, or we are headed for total destruction, and we shall fall apart as a nation.

We must learn to love each other.

We need to pray for our leaders.

We need to respect those whom God has set before us in authority; whether or not we agree.

We as a nation have exalted our rights above the One whom has made us righteous.

He is righteous!

He is our righteous king!

He is coming back!

We need as a nation and individually get back to righteousness.

Righteousness in it's simplest form is being right with God.

Righteousness is being in right standing with God.

Righteousness is doing what is right.

Won't you return to your King?

Won't you return back to righteousness?

"If you know that He is righteous, ye know that everyone which doeth righteous is born of Him." I John 2:29

God knew you when....

"In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of Him who worketh all things after the counsel of His own will." Ephesians 1:11

God knew where you would be at this very moment.

God knew what you would be thinking.

God knew what you would look like.

God knew where you would be living.

God knew how you would be living.

God knew when all is not well.

God knew about the darkness that we all face in our life.

God knew about the tension in your home.

God knew what frustrates you.

God knew what would make you sad.

God knew what would make you happy.

God knew who your friends would be.

God knew about those broken friendships; those broken relationships.

God knew about all those worldly setbacks.

God knew about your suffering.

God knew everything about you before you were even born.

God knew you in your mother's womb. He formed you, and called you and separated you from your mother.

God knew what you would do even before you have done it.

God knew everything that you have done up until the time that you turned and come to Him.

God knew everything that you had to go through before you went through it.

God has protected you every step of the way.

God knew every step!

"Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure."

"Yea I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have proposed it, I will also do it." Isaiah 46:10, 11c

How do you pray?

Do you pray to be heard?

Do you pray just to be seen?

Do you pray an insincere prayer?

Do you approach God with simplicity or do you try to make it complicated?

When you pray do you use God's Word?

Do you have peace in your heart when you pray?

Do you take the position of a child as you are praying before the Lord?

"Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and becomes as little cchildren, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. And whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 18:3-4

This does not mean to be a little child, but to use the faith of a child. When a child prays they believe that they are going to receive what they are praying for, that everything will be all right in their situation. They never give up or even doubt.

When we pray we find security in our God.

When we pray we will find a relationship with Him.

We are not to be self sufficient, but dependent upon Him.

Prayer is not just a way of escape; it is a way of life.

We should be in complete dependence upon Him.

His source of provision is all that we need!

Every need, every situation can be brought to God in prayer.

Does your prayer come from your heart?

Are your prayers wants and needs?

Do you have that undeniable peace in your heart when you pray?

Prayer is as natural as breathing when we approach God with simplicity.

Prayer demands participation and communicating with God.

One of the simplest forms of communicating with our heavenly Father is prayer.

One way that I have found the simplest way to solve our problems is to release our emotions towards Him.

How do we do that, you're wondering?

The easiest and simplest way is to quote the scripture back to God.

Where do I start?

The Psalms; in Psalms is every emotion that we as humans have is mentioned.

There will be times when we may only need one verse; then there may be times we need the whole Psalm for our situation.

By reading Psalms you not only will memorize them, but you will get a release in your Spirit.

There is power in God's Word!

"I will love thee, O Lord, my strength.

The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliver; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies" Psalm 18: 1-3

We have got to get His Word in our heart.

Wednesday, May 17, 2006

Faith will come.

Faith will come.

We must give heed to God's Word.

"So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God." Romans 10:17

We must allow God's Word to teach us all things.

When we stay focused upon Him, He will pull us through, no matter what comes our way.

Is your life in His hands?

Paul has given us very specific instructions on this.

"While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:18

When we keep our eyes upon those things that are eternal then they will manifest themselves in our bodies, and in our personal circumstances.

We must hold fast our confession of faith, not wavering.

We will see healing, prosperity, salvation of loved ones, and all those things in which we are in need of in our life.

When we can not physically do any more we must stand.

Stand on God's Word!

Tuesday, May 16, 2006

Are you listening?

Are you listening?

How do you listen to God's word?

Do you hear what is actually being said?

Do you pay attention to the instructions that are set before you in God's Word?

How are we supposed to hear God's word?

Solomon can best describe how we are to listen.

"My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh." Proverbs 4:20 - 22

There is life in His Word.

There is health in His Word.

When we attend to His Word, we are giving our undivided attention.

We are concentrating on what we just read.

We are also spending time in His Word, this is a must for all believers.

When we are told to "Incline thine ear", we are to think about what His Word is telling us.

We must drop all preconceived ideas of what other men have said and only listen to His voice.

We must humble ourselves before Him.

We must come before Him with a teachable attitude.

We must focus on Him and Him only.

Our eyes must be focused on what God says is truth.

Keep your eyes off your current circumstance, your current problem.

Keep them on God!

We need to keep His word in our heart.

We need to meditate upon His Word to Know His ways.

"Thy word have in my heart, so that I might not sin against thee." Psalm 119:11

"This book of the law shall not depart out of the mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night." Joshua 1:8

This is why we need to get His Word in our heart, as when trouble comes we can have the necessary means to fight it; the best way to fight back is with God's Word.

Let His Word permeate every last being, every inch of you.

Let God's power, His love and all that He has to offer you come into your heart.

How honest are you?

How honest are you with yourself and with God.

Do you ever blame someone else for your sin?

When we have a repentant heart we are being totally responsible for our actions.

When we are repentant before God we will:
Have a confession of guilt,
We will recognize that we have sinned against God
Accept full responsibility for what we have done, not blaming other for our actions
We will be completely honest with God for what we have done

A very good picture of this is David- a man after God's own heart- a man who has faults just like you and me.

David took full responsibility for his actions with Bathsheba. He had to make it right before God.

"Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. For I know my transgressions, and my sin is ever before me." Psalm 51:2-3

We must take complete responsibility for what has happened, not matter who is involved, or how it happened, or what has happened.

If we blame someone else our repentance will not be fully complete, it will still be as if we had sinned and not asked for forgiveness.

We have to be honest about our sin before God.

We have to be honest about our weaknesses.

We have to be honest about our failures.

We have to be honest about our frustrations.

When we are honest before God about every detail in our life then this will promote a fellowship that will continue always.

When we make mistakes, and we all make mistakes, don't cover it up, this is just human nature to cover up when we mess up.

Go to God and tell Him that you've messed up, be honest!

One of the catch phrases my mom used to say is that honesty is the best medicine.

God will discipline us for our sin.

He disciplines those whom he loves.

He disciplines us to get us to change, to obey His laws and commands.

When we will not repent, but want to keep on sinning, or finally get caught, then it will be to late to escape His disciplining hand.

When we put off repentance God's discipline will be stronger, it will be greater than if we would come to repentance.

If you consider yourself wise then repent before the Almighty God and let Him help you through all your circumstances!

"Come, O Creator Spirit"

As I was reading I came across this and wanted to pass it on, maybe you will feel the way as I after reading it.

This is a very old hymn, which address the Holy Spirit and ask Him to bring blessing into our heart, filling us with joy, love and praise, and giving us protection from the enemy and peace in our lives.

Come, O Creator Spirit blest,

And in our hearts take up thy rest;

Spirit of grace,with heav'nly aid

Come to the souls whom thou hast made.

Thou art the Comforter, we cry,

Sent to the earth from God Most High,

Fountain of life and fire and love,

And our anointing from above.

Bringing from heav'n our sev'n-fold dow'r,

Sign of our God's right hand of pow'r,

O blessed Spirit, promised long,

Thy coming wakes the heart to song.

Make our dull minds with rapture glow,

Let human hearts with love o'erflow;

And, when our feeble flesh would fail,

May thine immortal strength prevail.

Far from our souls and for repel,

Grant us in peace henceforth to dwell;

Ill shall not come, nor harm betide,

If only thou wilt be our guide.

Show us the Father, Holy One,

Help us to know th' eternal Son;

Spirit divine, for evermore

Thee will we trust and thee adore.

- Author unknown written around Tenth Century

"So then, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God." Romans 8:12-14

The fire: it cleanses and purifies

re"John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire." Luke 3:16

The Holy Spirit is the one that sanctifies and cleanses us, to help make us more holy in our daily life.

One of the most important jobs that the Holy Spirit does is the initial cleaning and purifying. To help break those patterns of sin that was in one's life before.

"You were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God." I Corinthians 6:11

Christ is the one who gives us His Spirit to cleanse and purify our hearts.

The fire is going to cleanse on the inside just as if you were to take a bath. Image if you can being as dirty as you have even been, maybe not having a bath for a while as you were stranded and have not been able to find enough water, only that to drink. When you finally get to a pool of water you just want to dive in and get all that dirt, that stickiness off. This is what the fire does it will bring to the surface all the dross, or impurities, or the scum, then we are molded into His image the image of Christ.

The best way to describe dross, is something that happens as the metal get real hot and it starts to melt down, the all the bad stuff the impurities, scum, waste material will surface and then is taken off and made into a new mould.

The fire works in the same way it brings out the old and we then get ready for the new.

The fire is a agent that purifies and sanctifies us, and will get us ready for that growth within us, a Godly growth.

We are being changed into His likeness from one degree to another; one glory to another on a continual basis.

The fire will help to replace those old habits that do not line up with God's Word.

We must come to that point in our walk that we don't want to learn unless we can experience reality.

We must draw close to that fire of God, this is where His light will come into full view.

Brokenness is blessing

"The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise." Psalms 51:17

There is one thing in today's society that can be said for all people, that we are a weak and wounded people.

Our weakness is simply our human condition as fragile, and incomplete.

Our weaknesses emerges from overblown reactions to trivial offenses, petty thoughts, fatigue and being judgmental, and the emotional state in which we are in.

We have wounds that are emotional, physical, and spiritual that have scarred our past.

All of us at some point in our life been rejected by a loved one, or by someone whom you have wanted to love you. A death of a family member, physical restraints due to getting older, or even remarks that have slapped you in the face or wounded your heart.

Human weakness is not a sin, but in our weakness we do sin.

Our wounds are often the result of sin, either ours or someone else's.

Our wound and weakness are entirely ours, denying them doesn't change the fact that they are there.

Our wounds speak of things that are very deep and very personal. As if they are "our stories".

Our wounds and weakness are interwoven into our life as to posture and choose how we move forward.

In our society it is not safe to be weak. It stead of binding us together with God and others it separates us.

Do we think that our weakness has labeled us as incompetent in today's society?

We are afraid of facing our wounds and living with limitations today, as society has said that broken is just broken; that there is no remedy for that which is weak do any better and that the powerful will trample on the weak to get what they want.

Being weak can be filled with wholeness and abundance.

"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." II Corinthians 12:9

Brokenness is a spiritual condition that emerges from our wounds and weakness.

Brokenness is in two parts:

We live in awareness of our wounds and weakness and the sins that come from them.
We come to the end of ourselves, then end of our own energy and trying it our own way.
We come to the end realizing that all our being, realizing that our only hope for life, for change, and for meaning of life is Jesus!

That we need a Savior!

The holding onto Christ is brokenness.

Many of us reject brokenness as a value, as a key of the kingdom. We believe that it is a negative part of today's society.

Many of us fear brokenness, we think that it distorts the image of God.

Brokenness is surrendering to God everything that we are, our entire being.

Brokenness will keep us dependent upon Christ .

Brokenness is the one and only true source of life and transformation.

Have you been broken before your heavenly Father?

Blessing of Obedience

Do you listen to what you are told or does it go in one ear and out the other?

Are you obedient in your listening?

We are not just supposed to be hearers of the word, but doers of the word.

We are to be obedient even if we do not think that what was said is right or wrong.

Whatever God has said is always right, whether we have chosen to believe it or not. This includes listening as well. There are blessings in obedience.

"If you listen obediently to the voice of the Lord your God, being watchful to do all His commandments which I command you this day, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth.

And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you if you heed the Voice of the Lord your God.

Blessed shall you be in the city and blessed shall you be in the field.

Blessed shall be the fruit of your body and the fruit of your ground and the fruit of your beasts, the increase of your cattle and the young of your flock.

Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading trough.

Blessed shall you be when you come in and blessed shall you be when you go out.

The Lord shall cause your enemies who rise up against you to be defeated before your face; that they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.

The Lord shall command the blessings upon you in your storehouse and in all that you undertake. And He will bless you in the land which the Lord your God gives you.

The Lord will establish you as a people holy to Himself as He has sworn to you, if you keep the commandments of the Lord your God and walk in His ways. (see also I peter 5:10)

And all the people of the earth shall see that you are called by the name (and in the presence of) the Lord and they shall be afraid of you.

And the Lord make you a surplus of prosperity, through the fruit of you body, of your livestock, and of your ground, in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers to give you.

The Lord shall open to you His good treasury, the heavens, to give the rain of your land in its season and to bless all the work of your hands; and you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow.

And the Lord shall make you the head, and not the tail; and you shall be above only, and you shall not be beneath, if you heed these commandments of the Lord your God which I command you this day and are watchful to do them." Deuteronomy 28:1-14 Amplified Bible

God will lavish you with good things: children from your womb, offsping from your animals: crops from your land and that land promised your ancestors that He would give you.

God is a good God and wants us to prosper. We shall prosper as we are obedient to Him.

Obedience is a sacrifice, a great sacrifice, but it is all worth it in the end.

There is no better a sacrifice than obedience to your Lord!

I will trust in you, O Lord!

My Heavenly Father

Give me the strength to face each night
Let there be no sorrow in my smile
Let me count each passing moment
Give me hope for each tomorrow
Let me be concerned about today
Let there be no sadness
But only let in, that joy, that comes in the morning!

Thank you Lord, for that gracious gift of forgiveness and peace of mind I receive each and every day. Let me place my soul with you for the keeping, and affirm my desire to serve you all the days of my life!

I will trust in you!

Do you need a helping hand?

"Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them." Mark 11:24

How many of us even think about praying in our daily life. Be honest! We go about our lives not giving one thought about prayer or even thanking God for His provision. The only time that one gives thought is when they are in trouble and need help. Prayer is not something that is not just there as needed. Prayer is there to help us grow, to give Him thanks, to honor Him, to help us in our daily circumstances. Prayer will help us open up our mind to His will, to know what He wants for our life. Prayer will help change circumstances.

We have to empty out all the negative thoughts. We have to have more than just our negative thoughts emptied, we must be filled with His Spirit, to accomplish the purpose He has for our life. His purpose is to simplify our faith, to that of a child.

God will sometimes allow us to tried in a place, a place of testing, to see if we are willing to joyfully waive your right and let Him chose for you.

God wants to bring you to a continual dependence upon Him!

God will always see you through anything, and everything!

We can find that long term inner peace.

"All things are possible to those who believe." Mark 9:23

Take your life and all it's problems and put them into God's hands!

If you really try you can!

Trust Him now for everything, and see if He will not do it for you "exceedingly abundantly, above all we could ever ask or think." Ephesians 3:20

Take a look and open a book, open up a world of revelation. Open up your mind.

Take a look into the greatest book ever the Bible!

There is no room for "know it all" people in the kingdom!

One needs not think that they will get anywhere if they are a "know it all."God does not want us to be that way. He want us to come to Him for direction, for daily provison, for daily guidance, not lean upon man, and his understanding.

"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding." Proverbs 3:5

We as christians need to take to heart all that God has given us, not just material things, but those things that are set forth in His Word. Take to heart His commands, these will help us in our daily life.

"Don't lose your grip on Love and Loyalty. Tie them around your neck; carve their initials upon your heart.

Earn a reputation for living well in God's eyes and in the eyes of the people.

Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don't try to figure out everything on your own.

Listen for God's voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; He's the one who will keep you on track.

Don't assume that you know it all.

Run to God! Run from evil!

Your body will glow with health, your very bones will vibrate with life!

Honor God with everything you own; give Him first and the best.

Your barns will burst, your wine vats will brim over.

But don't, dear friend, resent God's discipline; don't sulk under His loving correction.

It is the child He loves that God corrects; a Father's delight is behind all this." Proverbs 3:3-12 Message Bible

Live by Faith, Walk by Faith,Stand by Faith

"He went out, not knowing whither he went." Hebrews 11:8

Faith is not knowing where you are going, but knowing the One who is leading.

Faith is a life of walking it out, not getting weary, not fainting.

"For we walk by faith not but sight." II Corinthians 8:7

"But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he that cometh to God must believe that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him." Hebrews 11:6

We must build our faith on that light that never fails, not our own circumstances.

Once we start trusting in Him, watch how quickly all your difficulties will vanish because we are standing in faith.

As we keep standing in faith, our faith will become natural, and our difficulties will become less, and our trusting will become natural and unconscious action.

We need to stay in tune with God at all times.

He has to be our focus!

Our whole heart must belong to Him. Everything that we do must be done with an attitude of love and obedience.

We have to act responsibly with what God has given us.

It is our inner actions that God judges, not our outward appearances.

What do you feed your brain?

"So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." Romans 10:17

Do you ever talk yourself out of a relationship because you think that person is out of your reach, your league? Do you have trouble getting out of bed in the mornings? Have you ever turned down a job offer because you thought that you couldn't do it? How about trying something new? Afraid to fail or look stupid? Do you have the power to always finish what you start no matter the outcome? If you can answer yes to these and many others like these, you may be filled with self doubt and negative thoughts. We can change these thought of "I can't" to "I can". You will never know what you can do until you try. Would you like to get rid of that stinking thinking? If so, read on.

There are many, many people who are defeated by everyday problems that do not have to be. We have let ourselves become defeated by problems, cares, difficulties and tragedies of this world. Should we allow them to dominate us? Are we supposed to feel and act lifeless, hopeless, and half dead as Christians? No! No one has to stay that way! Ever think that you don't have a prayer? You do have a prayer and it will carry you through. Christ came to bring everyone a joyous, enthustic life. We can do nothing without Him!

"I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." John 10:10

We as humans let obstacles control our mind. We need to fill our brains with heavenly food from above - God's Word. We can rise above those obstacle which try to defeat us. We can develop a faith in yourself, faith that is justified from above. We have to learn that what we put into our brains must come out, garbage in, garbage out. We have to change those thought to good healthy thoughts, instead of negative, controlling thoughts. These are the thoughts that we have chose to dwell in our minds, they are there by our own permission. We need to "be in the Spirit of our mind." Ephesians 4:23

"It is the Spirit that quickened; the flesh profited nothing; the words that I speak unto you, they are Spirit, and they are life." John 6:63

Having a terrible disbelief in one's self, no confidence, discouraged, depressed. I have found a solution by trial and error on my part. We can find all our solutions to this problem and many other principles of faith brought forth in the Bible. These principles can heal negative feelings; those content thoughts of insecurity, doubt, fear, discouragement, and inadequacy that have dominated our thoughts. We need to fill our mind with overflowing faith, putting in confident thoughts, putting in God's Word. We can get rid of those negative thoughts, build confidence, self trust, and our faith by getting saturated with God's presence, and reading His Word. We need to build our lives around worshipping our Father, rather than making it another part of our busy schedule. This will help develop a tremendous faith in God, and that will also give you a humble, yet sound faith in yourself.

"When a man gets to God, it is by the most simple way of words." - Oswald Chambers

Here are ten little words that I thought would be helpful to get you started. By saying these words aloud to yourself, you are putting in good things into your Spirit. You can and will be able to cope with anything that comes your way. You can have the ability to meet adversity and failure and misfortune with a smile. You don't have to lose your enthusiam, it will help keep your faith and confidence. You never know what you can do until you try.

I took this one little scripture and kept repeating it, as I have needed it often, and it is easy to remember. It has built up my confidence, self esteem, self worth, and self trust. I'm finding out that His word will carry me through anything and everything. This is what I have been saying aloud to all my negative thoughts!

"I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me." Philippians 4:13

Another suggestion that has helped me is to make some note card with some scripture on it, such as...

"For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith." I John 5:4

"And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, if ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, remove hence to yonder place, and it shall move, and nothing shall be impossible unto you." Matthew 17:20

"Jesus said said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth." Mark 9:23

"What shall we say then to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31

These are just a few scriptures, there are many, many more. Take your new cards, memorize them, take them to heart. They will take the negativity and change them to thoughts of faith. We have got to change what we put into our mind. We need to fill our brain with good affirmations. With the support and help from God, He can and will change your thought process. We have got to have a continual attitude of dependence upon God. Him and Him alone!

Have you been to the throne room of God lately?

This flesh is of human Sinful nature, as human beings we all face times and trials or rough periods that may seem as if dark cloud have gathered which will never break. When all we need to do is "lift up our eyes unto the hills from whence cometh my help." (Psalm 121:1) We need to go to the throne room of God to be in His presence. Everything that we do occurs before the face of God. No one knows whose life will be changed if we ware willing to open up our mouth. Jesus said, "And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in my name I will do it." John 14:13-14

The only way one can learn about themselves is by getting closer to the one whom created us, thus doing so by prayer. When we work we work, but when we pray God works! Real prayer is not us being magnified, but Him. He will use a mirror, as to point out those areas in our that need to be changed. He will show you your own heart.

Does your heart have unforgiveness?

Are you jealous of someone because of something that they have that you don't.

Do you have hate in your heart?

Do you have envy in your heart?

What is it in your heart that God will reveal to you?

Is it good or bad within your heart?

Prayer is not just about a gimme list for us and our needs.

Prayer is not just calling out to God, it is listening for and to His voice - the voice of God. When we listen to His voice he can Lead our Life. Learning how to cry out, to lift our hands are part of the worship and prayer process. We can use these as weapons of warfare that bring spiritual power to any situation. Jesus should be first in everything that we do in our daily life. His words, His heart, we have to put Him first. When we love and surrender to Him, all our battles will be won with Him. All things are possible in whom we love and serve, we can not survive without Him!

Jesus said unto him, "If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth." Mark 9:23

True love will bring with it a deep longing to follow Him, because we know that nothing else will do. There is none like you! Lord, I trust you, I worship you! You are so wonderful, so beautiful, so powerful, so worthy!

If you think that you can not pray, you just need to let God and let God. Let God use you! Let God pray through you!

God is at work in each of us according to His will and on His time. Prayer is not meant to be a shortcut, but a Spiritual voyage that transforms our life and those whom we love. Prayer establishes a unique relationship between you and God. It is a crying out of your soul, and living before God.

Prayer changes people and circumstances in heaven and on earth.

We need to get connected.

We need to have our own faith and relationship with God. We can not rely on someone else's prayers.

We need to get on fire with a love for Him! God is an all consuming love.

God has created the best for us. God desires us to flourish, to be blessed in our life, and to bless others.

"Beloved I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth." 3rd John 2

Prayer is aligning ourselves with that eternal unchanging love. God should be our greatest source of happiness. Prayer gives us that power and strength to live in harmony with Him!

Prayer is for everyone and every occasion.

Being in God's presence will change you!

Prayer is our decision.

The decision is ours and ours alone.

Prayer is going to the throne room, searching for God in silence, and solitude (that secret place where it is just you and God all alone) discovering a greater intimacy with God.

Silence is the key to unlocking what He wants for Our life. He is out to capture our heart. He plays hide and seek so that we will seek after Him. He longs to be longed for. He wants to take us deeper. We must first get rid of those issues of the heart, so that He can come in. Let God come and be a part of the garden in your heart. Let Him help you to help it bloom.

Prayer is the means by which we surrender to God, this enables us to grow in grace, and conformed to the will of God.

We need to study with open hearts, and meditate on the scriptures to further our walk with God.

Do you have a spiritual mentor? One given by God to help you pray more effectively, and to pray with you and for you in your spiritual walk.

"And the Lord shall guide you continually and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not." Isaiah 58:11

Our power and victory of every trial is through prayer. - Martin Luther

How often do you pray?

How do you pray?

How often are you in prayer?

Do you have personal communication and fellowship with God?

Do you only pray to Him in an emergency?

Do you pray to Him only if you need something?

"Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." I Thessalonians 5:17-18

How can we continually be in prayer, that is what you are thinking. We have our busy lives, and can not always be on our knees. We do not always have to be on our knees to be in a attitude of prayer. We are to acknowledge God in everything, giving Him thanks and being in recognition of His presence. When we become grateful of what He has done for us even in the little things, and begin to obey him fully we shall have better communication with Him.

When we pray, it should be unconscious, not knowing or thinking about what is going on. It does not have to be a long drawn out prayer it can be short and spontaneous. If you listen to to that inner voice you will know what to pray for.

Prayer is all about acknowledging Him in all of our ways.

We are to have to have the mind of Christ.

"Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus." Philippians 2:5

The idea of prayer is not just getting things from God, but to have a oneness with Him, having a moment with Him.

What comes out of your mouth when you pray will also tell where you are, how much time you spend in His Word.

Do you use scriptures to back up what you pray for?

One example is if you need a Physcial healing would be: "By His stripes we are healed." Isaiah 53:5 and I Timothy 2:24

Never let the confession that comes out of your mouth be bad.

Prayer should be the backbone of our Christian walk along with His word!

How strong is your faith?

How strong is your faith?

Is your faith dead?

Do you have confidence?

Did you grow weary in well doing?

"Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone." James 2:17

One can not earn their salvation by serving and obeying God, although it is a requirement for those who do believe. When we serve and obey God we are reinforcing our action of commitment that our God is real. There is no substitute of works that will get you into heaven. We must be covered by His blood and walk with Him.

It is the same as if our body had no Spirit then we would be dead.

You can choose not to allow your faith to die.

God is not a man that He should lie.

We need to hold onto our faith, it is what will get us through those tough times.

Do not let your faith die or get side tracked.

"Now the Spirit speaketh expessly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils." I Timothy 4:1

There are false teachers and teachings out there that offer a clever imitation of the real thing. You will be fooled if you do not know the Word, and have it in your heart.

Do you have a personal relationship with Him?

If the word that is spoken does not line up with God's word then it is a lie.

We must guard ourselves and other believers against any teaching that would dilute or reject any aspect of your faith. False teaching can be very subtle or can be very direct.

We must always look to Jesus teachings.

All word was God breathed and inspired.

God's word is not man's opinion, or a religious tradition. It is not suggestion, not real but it is the Truth, the whole Truth! His word will speak to us; it will reveal things to us, it will change us! We are living in perilous times and now is not the time to get comfortable.

If God said it, then it will happen.

If He said that He would heal you, He will Heal you!

If He said that He would deliver you out of your circumstance than He will do it!

If He said that He would guide and direct you, He will Do it!

If He said that He would protect you, He shall protect you!

If God is on your side then you are on the winning side.

He will do what He has promised to do for you!

We have to get a hold of God's word, and stay committed no matter what others say or believe!

"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Hebrews 11:1

What kind of food do you eat?

The Word gives us our daily food.

God's Word provides food for each believer at every level in their walk with Him.

The Word gives us cleansing, victory and a fellowship with Him.

"It is written, man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God." Matthew 4:4

The Word of God is our daily bread if we are believers, it is to be a staple, a must.

The Word gives us spiritual nourishment.

"For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk and not strong meat. For everyone that useth milk is unskillful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil." Hebrews 5:12-14

We have to apply the basics to our own life. We must move beyond man's traditions, man's doctrine, move out of our comfort zone. We are to be set apart, not the same as to blend in with today's culture. We must walk in discernment, training our minds and bodies good from evil.

Do you know the difference between the correct use of scripture and a mistaken one?

Do you know how to avoid a trap of temptation?

We must grow in knowledge, and deepen our spiritual walk with Him. We have got to wait on sitting a the banquet table if we are not able to digest it. We must put into practice what we have learned, then we will be able to start growing.

Never Give Up!

"I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." Philippians 3:14

We need never give up.

No matter how much you go through, how much you can take, God will always pull you through.

"There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that which ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that you may be able to bear it." I Corinthians 10:13
