How do you pray?

Do you pray to be heard?

Do you pray just to be seen?

Do you pray an insincere prayer?

Do you approach God with simplicity or do you try to make it complicated?

When you pray do you use God's Word?

Do you have peace in your heart when you pray?

Do you take the position of a child as you are praying before the Lord?

"Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and becomes as little cchildren, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. And whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 18:3-4

This does not mean to be a little child, but to use the faith of a child. When a child prays they believe that they are going to receive what they are praying for, that everything will be all right in their situation. They never give up or even doubt.

When we pray we find security in our God.

When we pray we will find a relationship with Him.

We are not to be self sufficient, but dependent upon Him.

Prayer is not just a way of escape; it is a way of life.

We should be in complete dependence upon Him.

His source of provision is all that we need!

Every need, every situation can be brought to God in prayer.

Does your prayer come from your heart?

Are your prayers wants and needs?

Do you have that undeniable peace in your heart when you pray?

Prayer is as natural as breathing when we approach God with simplicity.

Prayer demands participation and communicating with God.

One of the simplest forms of communicating with our heavenly Father is prayer.

One way that I have found the simplest way to solve our problems is to release our emotions towards Him.

How do we do that, you're wondering?

The easiest and simplest way is to quote the scripture back to God.

Where do I start?

The Psalms; in Psalms is every emotion that we as humans have is mentioned.

There will be times when we may only need one verse; then there may be times we need the whole Psalm for our situation.

By reading Psalms you not only will memorize them, but you will get a release in your Spirit.

There is power in God's Word!

"I will love thee, O Lord, my strength.

The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliver; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies" Psalm 18: 1-3

We have got to get His Word in our heart.

I came accross this today and was blessed by it. I have been having trouble with my prayer time with the Father due to abuse I suffered as a child. I was touched by the Holy Spirit here and reminded of His and my relationship. Thank you.
