Everyone wants to go to heaven.

Do you know what it takes to get to heaven?

Are you willing to make the sacrifice?

Do you know what it means to be saved?

One of easiest terms for Salvation is God's deliverance.

Salvation comes from the word saved.

Salvation means being saved from sin.

Salvation means to rescue from danger or harm.

What does salvation mean to you?

Salvation is all encompassing, to go completely around.

Salvation is our healing.

Salvation is our protection.

Salvation is our deliverance.

Salvation is our welfare.

Salvation is our help.

God - He is infinite!

God is our wisdom!

God is our power!

God is our mercy!

God - He is our salvation!

God knew that we needed to be saved from sickness, disease, calamity, bondage, and even the ultimate: eternal death.

How do we receive such a great salvation?

We must believe it in our heart.

We need to believe that He is.

We need to confess that Jesus, the Son of God died and raised again from the dead.

We must ley the words come out of our mouth, just thinking about it does not work.

The words of our mouth are very powerful.

We must acknowledge Him before men.

"But what does it say? THE WORD IS NEAR YOU, in your mouth and in your heart that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation." Romans 10:8-10

Salvation is as close as your mouth.

Salvation is as close as your heart.

Salvation is not a complicated process.

When we say with our mouths that Christ is the risen Lord and believe it in our heart then we shall be saves.

This is only the first step in a journey to a life long love and friendship.

When we believe we are saying that Jesus Christ paid the price for our sins.

When we believe you are saying that you are giving your life back to Him.

When we have repented of all our sins, we are allowing God to have total control.

Are you willing to make the sacrifice?

When we repent and believe we are one step closer to heaven.

"And saying, the time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye and believe the gospel." Mark 1:15

One day saved and unsaved alike will bow every knee and every tongue shall confess that Jesus is Lord!

"Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is none else. I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, that unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear." Isaiah 45:22-23

"That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of the things in heaven, and the things in earth, and things under the earth; And every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." Philippians 2:10-11

What are you waiting for?

Give Him all the Praise and Glory He deserves!

Are you submissive?

"Submit yourselves to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you." James 4:7

With the power of the Holy Spirit we can overcome what the enemy throws our way.

We are to submit to God first and foremost!

We are also supposed to submit to one another.

To me when you submit to someone you are giving honor to whom honor is due.

Submission to me is called respect, reverence, this is how I see submission.

Do you obey the laws of the land?

Do you obey your parents?

Do you listen and obey your teachers at school?

Do you respond with respect and obedience?

Do you drive according to the speed limit?

Do you respect and listen to your pastor?

If someone who is older than you is looking out for you do you listen to them?

Submission begins when you can start to walk, and talk.

When we are submissive to others it will get us farther in life, and we will earn their respect.

When we are submissive we are not implying that He/She is more superior than us, what we are implying is how much love and respect that we have for God!

Submission is not a master/slave mentality.

Submission is not a head/feet or superior or inferior relationship.

Submission does not mean that you need to submit yourself to abuse either.

We as Christians need to embrace Biblical submission.

Your success will be related to your submission.

Submit to God first and foremost.

After we submit to our Heavenly Father, then we are to submit to one another, to leaders, to our government, and to our earthly husbands.

When we submit to God it is a life changing experience.

When we become submissive then we will be spiritually enabled.

Esther is just one of the many who had a life changing experience. You can read about her experience as she submitted to God in Gensis 16:7-13.

On the other hand if you don't submit to God, and you rebel against God you won't be around long.

Refusal to submit to God will cost you everything.

Take a look into at Jezebel in how wicked she was, she refused to submit to God, therefore she lost her life. Check out 2Kings 9:6-10 & 30-37

Those of us who are submitted to God will begin submission where God's Word begins.

As we follow being submitted to God, all other submission will follow: school, parents, your boss, your place of employment, government leaders, your husband, and wherever else applicable.

When we are submitted we are elevated, enabled, and empowered.

This is a test like any other, but we must be obedient to the one's in authority, most importantly to God!

How do will you pass this test?

"Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the King, as supreme: or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by Him for the punishment of evildoers, and for praise of them that do well." 1 Peter 2:13-14

Are you persistent?

"And from thence He arose, and went into the borders of Tyre and Sidon, and entered into a house, and would have no man know it: but He could not be hid.

For a certain woman, whose young daughter had a unclean spirit, heard of Him, and came and fell at His feet:

The woman was a Greek, a Syrophenician by nation; and she besought Him that He would cast forth the devil out of her daughter.
But Jesus said unto her,Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the children's bread, and cast it to the dogs.
And she answered and said unto Him, Yes, Lord: yet the dogs under the table eat of the children's crumbs.
And He said unto her, For this saying go thy way; the devil is gone out of thy daughter.
And when she was come to her house, she found the devil gone out, and her daughter laid upon the bed." Mark 7:24-30

Have you ever been on a mission to get something done as this woman was?

This Syrophoenician woman knew where to go and who to see to accomplish her mission!

A dog was generally referred to as a Gentile in Jesus day.

The Jews at that time considered them pagans, and thought the they were no more likely to receive God's blessing.

Jesus was not degrading the woman on referring to her by the use of this term in His day.

Jesus was simply telling this woman that the Jews had first opportunity to accept Him as Messiah.

The Jews are God's chosen people to present the gospel to the world.

As the woman faces Jesus He responds to her in a negative way, to test her faith.

Jesus was provoking her to see what she would do.

He was testing her faith to show that not only Jews could have faith, but all.

Jesus harsh words did not deter this woman of faith, she just respectfully accepted the crumb that Jesus threw out to her.

The woman's heart was guarded from those cruel words.

"For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made." Romans 10:10

This woman was not about to get a haughty, negative attitude and let her attitude deny her daughter new life.

This woman was persistent!

We as believers can not let mere words, attitudes keep us from believing in our Lord.

We need to believe and trust in Him!

The Syrophoenician woman wanted a real life for her and her daughter.

The woman pressed in to get what she needed.

God is no respecter of persons!

She was persistent!

She was determined.

Jesus was impressed with her great faith.

She did not yield.

She did not give up.

She placed her trust in Him!

We as believers can not give up.

We as believers can not turn around or turn away.

We as believers can not quit, no matter what!

We must keep our faith strong.

We must persist and ask for God's help.

"And He said, Certainly I will be with thee:" Exodus 3:12a

God ask us to do things that are seemingly to difficult for us, but He doesn't ask us to do them alone.

God wants to use you to be the light of the world.

God wants to use you!

God will give you His strength.

Do you consider your life your own?

"Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart: wait I say, on the Lord." Psalm 27:14

Have you sacrificed your wants and desires?

Have you sacrificed your needs for the good?

Have you asked How long, O Lord?

Do you seek your heavenly Father and His kingdom?

Whatever we have sacrificed it can never compare to that of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Just as Jesus sacrificed His life we must lay down our lives for others.

"Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the Lord." Psalm 4:5

" This is my commandment, that ye love one another, as I have loved you

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you." John 15:12-14

We must remove ourselves from the world, and look to the word of God!

We must not look at the world's standards of success, but we need to Look to God for our validation.

Let nothing be done of selfish ambition.

"Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

Look not every man on his own things, but everyman also on the things of others.

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:" Philippians 2:3-5

Being a child of God means sacrifice.

Sacrifice means giving up things that we really want, to do that which we need.

Sacrifice means taking on something that you really don't want to do, but do it so someone else will not have to bear that burden.

Jesus took our punishment for our sins when He died upon the cross.

"Behold I have given Him for a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people." Isaiah 55:4

"But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed.

All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned away every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all.

He was oppressed, and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth: He is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not His mouth." Isaiah 53:5-7

Who does your life belong to?

Are you committed to God?

"Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect." Romans 12:1-2 Living Bible

God desires commitment from us.

He doesn't just want half of our heart, but all of our heart.

When you go to work for your employer he expects one hundred percent.

Why should you give God any less than your very best?

The best that we can offer is a commitment that completely focuses on God's will in our life.

All our priorities first and last should be that which must please God.

When we are committed as such we are no longer ourself; our free will has to be consumed by God's will.

If we are to be a living sacrifice our life must be in God's control.

Are you where God wants you to be?

Do you follow God's instructions in those situations in which He has placed you in: marriage, community, church, employment, school, etc.?

When we turn our life over to Him, He will bring about a renewing of our mind, and a separation from the world and it's destruction.

A renewed mind improves our reactions to life situations.

A renewed mind shifts our perspective of right and wrong.

A renewed mind enhances our expectation to a peaceful life.

separation from the world gives us complete freedom to be what God wants us to be.

Separation from the world gives us complete freedom to be without concern about the world's opinion; we dare to be different.

Separation from the world will keep us from being anxious in our thinking.

When we have this kind of commitment we will be transformed in every aspect of our life.

In our marriage with this kind of commitment it would be to trust God first and foremost.

In the church atmosphere this kind of commitment would be defined by God and not by a position.

With this kind of commitment we would not compromise the gospel.

With this kind of commitment we would not be afraid of presenting the gospel to those who we meet.

With this kind of commitment we would let God define our social standards without a doubt, without one question.

With this kind of commitment as we function in our community, God would define the standards.

With this kind of commitment we have the joy of knowing that we are not alone in our journey.

When we are fully committed we have the benefit of walking daily with Him.

When we are fully committed to Him we are walking daily with the One who is fully committed in His endless love that was demonstrated through His plan of salvation.

Commitment builds faith.

Commitment builds strong character.

Commitment is a venture of a lifetime that requires work and determination.

"Then Jesus said to His disciples, "If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me." Matthew 16:24 Living Bible

If we are that living sacrifice our life belongs to God.

True commitment means the risk of death.

True commitment means no turning back.

True commitment requires action.

True commitment is a spiritual discipline.

"Commit your works to the Lord, and your plans will be established." Proverbs 16:3 Living Bible

When we are committed to God we are trusting Him for everything.

When we are totally committed on God we are totally dependent upon Him for everything!

Have you committed to the Lord today?

"Commit yourself to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He will do it!" Psalm 37:5 Living Bible

Sunday, June 25, 2006

There is no lack in Jesus!

There is no lack in Jesus!

"Bless the Lord, O my soul;

And all that is within me, bless His holy name!

Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And forget not all His benefits:
Who forgives all your iniquities,
Who heals all your diseases,
Who redeems your life from destruction,
Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,
Who satisfies your mouth with good things,
So that your youth is renewed like the eagle's." Psalm 103:1-5

It is real easy to complain about life.

We need to praise Him...

He pardons our iniquities...

He heals our diseases...

He redeems us from death...

He crowns us with His lovingkindness and compassion...

He satisfies our desires...

He gives righteousness and justice...

He gives all these freely without deserving any of them.

No matter what your life journey brings we can count your blessings.

Take a look at what you blessings that you have already been given, and you can count on the blessings that are yet to come.

You may feel as if you have nothing left to praise God for....What about the breath that you are breathing?

Restoration, regeneration and renewal are found in Him.

He does not have your health.

He is your health!

He does not have your healing.

He is your healing!

All that we need is in Him!

He sustains us, strengthing our bodies for His service and good will.

When we conform to His image, and walk faithful to His will, we shall bear fruit.

We then will be vessels of honor that serve Him, and those whom He shall use for His purpose.

"For He has sastified the thirsty soul, and the hungry soul He has filled with what is good." Psalm 107:9 Living Bible

Saturday, June 24, 2006

The Lord: He is good.

The Lord has marvelous plans for you!

The Lord will fulfill His promises concerning you!

"When you have eaten and are full, then you shall bless the Lord your God for the good of the land which He has given you. Beware that you do not forget what the Lord your God by not keeping His commandments, His judgments, and His statutes which I command you this day.... For it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day." Deuteronomy 8:10-11, 18

We must pay careful attention to His Word.

Once we enter into the land that flows with milk and honey, the good land, we must never forget our Lord, our provider.

Don't be as the one's who get their belly filled and then forget what God has done for them.

Don't forget how He has rescued you from your pit.

It is by the Lord's hand that we "live and move and have our being." Acts 17:28

He is the one who gives us power to obtain wealth.

He gives us more than just monetary gain.

When we are truly wealthy we are walking in divine health, both physically and Spiritually!

There are some mighty principles to live by in the book of Deuteronomy 8.

Take some time and take a look into what we will need to live by for that abundant life in Him.

Above all remember to give Him thanks!

Give God the glory that He is so worthy of!

We need to obey His Word!

We need to eat not just physical food , but God's food, that Spiritual manna from above.

"And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist." Colossians 1:17

Friday, June 23, 2006

"The Lord is nigh to them that are of a broken heart; and saved such as be of a contrite spirit." Pslam 34:18

The Lord is nigh unto them all that call upon Him, to all that call upon Him in truth." Psalm 145:18

We as humans break our covenant with God and man.

When we have a broken heart or have the feeling of being broken hearted, it is due to some manner of breach of contract, or a broken covenant.

A covenant is a promise that is made between two or more people.

When one or more in the covenant or promise breaks their end of the deal or promise the result is a broken heart.

The breach of Covenant can happen in marriages, friendships, jobs , personal relationships, and so on, there are so many different things to list.

When we as a Christian have a breach in our contract or covenant it results in brokenness for us a child of God.

It usually comes when we are down in the valley, when we are in the stage of helplessness, the deepest, darkest despair.

When we are there in these valleys, God is at His closest, surrounding our heart.

There is a hope and remedy for us.

God does not want us to be broken hearted.

It is when we open our broken heart, that God's healing power of His love can come in.

When we break covenant, God offers forgiveness to heal the wound and love that can mend the broken heart.

"This Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; He hath sent me to heal the broken-hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord." Luke 4:18-19

"A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the Spirit is broken.

The heart of him that hath understanding seeketh knowledge: but the mouth of fools feedeth on foolishness." Proverbs 15:13-14

Thursday, June 22, 2006

So you made a mistake

"If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us." I John 1:8-10

"All unrighteousness is sin:" I John 5:17a

So you made a mistake, not great, but all is not lost.

God can still use you for greatness.

We must be willing to be used before He can use us.

You can go ahead and beat yourself up, but what does that prove.

Those negative actions does not help lead you to recovery.

Getting over your sin is hard if you do not put them into God's hands, it will only make you more depressed.

We have to let go of pain and anguish, the shame, the depression, or whatever has got you down.

We have got to give it all and give it to God so He can heal us.

When we give everything to God, He will turn around all those bruised, battered, and broken in spirit.

We must start again and give Him everything.

Open up your heart to Him.

Start again with Him.

He can and will use you for His glory if only you let Him.

"And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:7

Do you pray?

"Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not how to pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered." Romans 8:26

Prayer is the opportunity that was given to us by God for us to be intimately acquainted with Him.

Prayer is where we develop a personal relationship with Him.

Prayer is the greatest power on earth!

Prayer is our dependence upon God.

Prayer is the communication between our soul and God's heart.

Prayer is an exclusive privilege granted to all.

Prayer gives us hope in those hopeless situations.

Prayer empowers us.

No prayer, no power!

Prayer makes the impossible possible.

It is through prayer that we draw close to God!

With prayer there is no limitations.

Prayer is not a way of manipulating God, but as a way of seeking God's direction, strength, and will.

Prayer is where we give up who we are and be what God wants you to be.

when we pray we are letting God lead us.

The most powerful, most majestic God wants to be intimate with you!

God honors those who pray, those who are sincere are are genuine.

Your prayers to don't have to be long and drawn out, but short and sweet.

Remember to give God all praise and glory before you go to Him with your needs.

He already knows what we have need of before we even ask.

We were made to praise Him!

So give Him praise !

You can praise Him even without praying to Him.

God is always there to talk to you and listen to you.

Let His Spirit help you to pray.

"Pray without ceasing

In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." I Thessalonians 5:17-18

Are you silent before God?

"But the Lord is in His holy temple: let all the earth keep silence before Him." Habakkuk 2:20

Do you give God the reverence that he deserves?

"Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and Godly fear." Hebrews 12:28

Reverence is when honor or heart felt respect is shown.

Reverence is profound adoring awed respect.

Do you give God that kind of respect?

"God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all them that are about Him." Psalm 89:7

How to you treat God?

Is He your closest friend?

Do you put Him up on a shelf on to dust off as you need Him?

Are you aware of His presence?

Do you hurry through your prayers?

Do you respect Him in your quiet time with Him?

Are you waiting so that He can speak to you?

Do you have that communion with Him without interruption?

We need to forget about all our other chores and concentrate on God.

"Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah." Psalm 4:4

"I call to remembrance my song in the night: I commune with mine own heart: and my spirit made diligent search." Psalm 77:6

Do you bless the Lord with all that is within you?

He giveth and He taketh away.

Everything that we have comes from Him.

Bless and give reverence to Our Blessed creator!

He is worthy of all our praise.

He is worthy of all our honor.

He is worthy of all the glory.

"Thou shalt fear the Lord thy God; Him shalt thou serve, and to Him shalt thou cleave, and swear by His name.

He is thy praise, and He is thy God, that hath done these great and terrible things, which thine eyes have seen." Deuteronomy 10:20-21

The Cross

Is the cross really understood by those who wear this symbol?

Does the cross still carry the same symbolic power?

Has the representation of the cross, sin, salvation become meaningless terms to you?

Is the cross a burden on you?

The cross the symbol of Christian religion.

The cross is one of the greatest symbols of mankind!

The cross is not only for Christian believers, but has signifiance through the experiences of everyman!

The cross is the instrument on which Christ suffered His death.

The cross give life through death.

The cross was a horrible way of suffering.

The cross was a horrible way to torture someone.

The cross in which one man went willing upon for our restoration, reconciliation, all because He loved us!

The cross is a living picture of each of us!

With our arms stretched wide and standing to embrace we a perfect picture of the cross.

The cross of Calvary is in the same way within man's own experience.

The cross it serves to expose once and for all the human nature of man.

The cross is associated in suffering, paradoxes, contradictions, within and without. Through them we are torn in opposite directions, through which comes renewal.

It is through the cross that man stands in the gap between the past and the future.

He is facing backward and forward at the same moment, stretched between his orgins and his fulfillment.

Man looks back at past, forward to the future, inward at all our feelings, wishes and dreams, and outward with what we must fight, or come to terms with.

Through the cross Jesus has opened the door for all men to enter into the holy presence of God, doing so by His sacrifice of His life.

It is only within that true sacrifice can our imperfect sacarfice find acceptance with God.

The glory of the cross is that it sanctifies the lowliest and the meanest, and touches them with the splendor of the Perfect Offering!

Christ death upon the cross is full, perfect, and sufficient for all.

"Salvation's giver, Christ, the only Son,

By His dear cross and blood the victory won.

Offered was He for greatest and least.

Himself the victim and Himself the Priest.

Approach ye, then, with faithful hearts sincere

and take the pledge of salvation here.

He that His saints in this world rules and shields

to all believers life eternal yields;

With heavenly bread makes them that hunger whole,

gives living waters to the thirsty soul."

- Song preserved by the Bangor Antiphonary monks of the seventh century

The cross cannot be explained in so many words!

The cross makes greater demands upon those of us who chosse to try to fulfill, than what we can fulfill.

The cross has to be taken up and lived.

"And when He had called the people unto Him with His disciples also, He said unto them, whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.

For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?" Mark 8:34 - 37

"And he that taketh not up his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me." Matthew 10:38

The cross hold out to us a wider spectrum than we can ever imagine or exhaust.

"Lamb of God, I fall before Thee, Humbly trusting in the cross;

That alone be all my glory, all things else I count but loss.

Jesu, all my hope and joy flow from Thee, Thou sov' reign God,

Hope and love and faith and patience, all were purchased by thy blood."

- written by Bach St. Matthew Passion

Are you a doer of the Word?

Do others see God' reflection in your life?

Is the Word changing your life?

Has the Word change your life style?

Are you truly living for God?

Is your faith genuine?

"But prove yourselves doers of the Word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves. For if anyone is a hears of the Word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in the mirror; for once he has looked at himself and gone away, he has immediately forgotten what kind a person he is. But anyone who looks intently at the perfect law, the law of liberty, and abides by it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an effectual doer, this man will be blessed in what he does." James 1:22-25

God's Word gives us freedom in Him.

God's grace frees us from our bondage of sin.

We are free to live as He has created us to live, but not to live as we please!

We are free to obey God!

We need to listen to God's Word, and we are to obey what it says.

Do you put into practice what you have read about?

Are you a heedless listener who forget about what they were just taught?

Do you continue to do the same things you did even after you heard them in a service not even five minutes before?

What does you actions say about you?

"Why do you call me lord, Lord, and do not do what I say?" Luke 6:46 Living Bible

Our speech, our actions, our attitudes will reveal what is inside of us?

What is inside of you?

Do you have that behavior, or attitude that is one of always trying to get attention, approval, or even acceptance from others?

You need to check your heart if any of the above attitudes reside in you.

"A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things." Matthew 12:35

What you portray with body language or what you say comes from the heart.

"For out of the heart proceed evil thought's, murders, adultries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies: these are the things which defile a man:" Matthew 15:19-20a

Our heart condition is very important.

What we do when others are not around is very important to God.

The way we are down deep inside where others can not see is very important to God!

What are you like on the inside?

Saturday, June 17, 2006

Do you give reverence to the Holy God?

"God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had reverence of all them that are about Him." Psalm 89:7

We need to come to God with the utmost reverence.

Reverence means to give honor or respect; profound adoring awed respect.

When we revere God we are showing Him that we regard Him with great respect, with great honor.

"Make vows to the Lord your God and fulfill them; Let all who are around Him bring gifts to Him who is to be feared." Psalm 76:11

We need to worship Him at His feet!

He is worthy of more honor than any, king or queen on this earth, what he has is life eternal.

No one on this earth can do that!

God is omnipresent, and omniscient!

God is infinite in understanding, awareness and insight!

God has complete knowledge of everything that we do, before we do it!

God has unlimited authority!

God has unlimited influence!

God is Almighty!

He is Holy!

He is worthy of all our praise!

To be Holy one must be perfect in goodness and in righteousness!

God is both!

God alone is the source of all holiness!

Let us earnestly seek Him!

"Exalt the Lord our God, and worship at His footstool; Holy is He." Psalm 99:5 Amplified

Friday, June 16, 2006

He is Holy

" Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? For thou art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest." Revelation 15:4

"Mighty are your acts and marvelous,

O God, the sovereign - strong!

Righteous your ways are true,

King of the nations!

Who can fail to fear you, God

Give glory to your name?

Because you and you only are Holy!

All nations will come and worship you
Because they see your judgements are right." Message Bible Revelation 15:4

He alone is Holy!

He alone is infinite!

He alone is immutably!

Immutably means not capable or susceptible to change.

The sum of everthing!

Everything is found in Him!

"Who is like unto thee, O Lord, among the gods? Who is like thee, glorious in hiliness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?" Exodus 15:11

God's holiness is manifested in His works.

"The Lord is righteous inall His ways and kind in all His deeds." Psalm 145:17

Only that which is excellent comes from him.

He is perfection!

"Canst thou by searching find out God? Canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection?" Job 11:7

Are you getting stronger each day?

"How blessed is the man whose strength is in thee: in whose heart are the highways to Zion." Psalm 82:5 NAS

In whom do you put your trust?

Are you strong in Him?

Is He your strongtower when you are weak?

Are people able to distinguish the difference in you from others?

Have you turned away from God?

Is He you salvation?

Is He your strength?

"The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?" Pslam 27:1

He is our strength in fear!

He is our strength through rejection!

He is the certainty in our uncertainness!

He is our strength in our weakness!

He understands when we misunderstand!

He is our conquer!

He is our light!

He is our salvation!

We have His power!

We have His ability!

We have His force!

We have His might!

We have His energy!

Everything that God has is ours!

God's strength is ours!

"Strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:" Colossians 1:10-12

We need to thank God for all gifts that we receive.

"But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they that mount up with wings of eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." Isaiah 40:31

We are strong in the power of His might.

We need to live each day in God's strength, through your life.

His Spirit, rests upon me in His fullness of His power!

Let your weakness be a thing of the past!

"He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might He increaseth strength." Isaiah 40:29

Wednesday, June 14, 2006

Your faith will activate His power!

"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not see." Hebrews 11:1

Faith receives!

When you pray you must believe you receive.

Believing is receiving.

Receiving is believing.

When we chose not to believe then we receive not.

We each have a part to play if we are believing for something, healing, family salvation, what ever is on your list.

We don't have to understand how, just receive what He wants to give us according to His promises.

It is not what the minister of God can do for you, but what God can do through that minister of God for you.

It is believing God for yourself and believing in His power!

Faith is what activates that power!

When you put your faith in God and His power, and act upon it you shall get whatever you are asking for - healing...Etc...

It is your faith in God and His power that activates the anointing!

It is only after you believe that you receive that you shall have whatever you desire, according to His will.

"And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed, and be cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in His heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, what things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye rreceive them, and ye shall have them." Mark 11:22-24

Is He your first priority?

"And why call me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?" Luke 6:46

What is the first thing on your mind in the morning?

What is the last thing on your mind before you go to sleep?

Is it God?

Do you set aside time to be in His Word?

Do you spend quiet time with Him?

Are you hungry for more of Him?

"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Matthew 6:33

Are you spiritually drained?

Do you lack direction?

When we seek Him, we are pursuing Him with all our might.

Do you fill yourself with other things than that of God?

Is God first in your life?

Do you look to Him?

God must be first in all we do!

If we do not put Him first we will not have the ability or the strength to enjoy our relationship with Him, or anyone, or anything else!

If you are struggling in other areas of your life, take a moment and sit back and examine your relationship with God.

Have other things become more of a priority than God?

Maybe things got out of hand unintentionally, but good news you can get them back on track now that you know.

God is real.

God is that something more that you are looking for.

God is your portion.

God is the only One who can satisfy your longing, your loneliness, your depression, your oppression, - everything we need is in Him.

Everything we need is in Him!

Will you put Him first today?

"For He satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness." Psalm 107:9

Monday, June 12, 2006

Are you led by Him?

"For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are the Sons of God." Romans 8:14

Is your primary goal to be led by Him?

We must move according to the life giving Spirit within us, and move only when He moves us.

This Spirit is the Holy Spirit.

He was present at the creation of the world!

The Holy Spirit is the power behind the rebirth of every Christian.

The Holy Spirit is the power we need to live in this world of unbelievers and be able to help those who are lost.

Being in His Word, His presence, is a daily choice.

We must choose to center our lives around God!

We must use His Word as our sword in our daily life.

We must follow the guide lines sent forth through His written word!

What do your actions reflect about you?

Are you letting the Creator who made you, and desires nothing less than to lead you throughout your entire life lead you?

When we are led by His Spirit we shall be surrounded by peace, joy, love.

When we interrupt the Holy spirit you shall know it, you shall be able to sense it.

When we let the Holy Spirit be in control, we will be free, and so natural.

When your Spirit is centered on God, all activities that are done through Him, will be so natural, and so full of peace.

"He brought me forth also into a large place; He delivered me, because He delighted in me." Psalm 18:19

When you are led by the Spirit, it shall be the only thing that you see passing by, not many individual things.

Ezekiel, the prophet, had a vision of wheels which had a living Spirit within. Ezekiel 1:15-21

Wherever the Spirit went, the wheel went. They ascended and descended as the Spirit of Life directed.

A wheel within a wheel and all that you seen as it went by was His Spirit, one could not distinguish anything else as it rapidly goes by.

When you are in God, the more will be accomplished, because it is God who is moving and directing your actions.

It is God who draws us.

It is God who causes us to run after Him.

Is He you divine center of existence?

Our soul is given the freedom to follow Him.

He attracts us by His powerful, sweet presence.

God never uses force.

Is your cry - Oh, God, draw near to me?

Draw us closer to you by the power of Your sweet Holy Spirit?

Is He everything to you?

Do you let Him lead you?

Sunday, June 11, 2006

Have you abandoned yourself to God?

"In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths." Proverbs 3:6

When we lean on something we are putting our whole trust in that which we are leaning on.

We need to lean on God.

We need to learn to trust Him, for He knows what is best for us!

We must trust Him completely in every choice that we make.

God will make your path straight if you yield to His council, He will guide and protect us.

We have got to abandon our selfish ways and Let God.

We need to be at God's divine disposal.

We need to cast our cares upon Him.

Cast your cares upon Him, for He careth for you!

"Take no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof." Matthew 6:34

In other words, don't worry about tomorrow, cause tomorrow will take care of itself. There is enough trouble in each day for itself.

We can not let the worries about tomorrow interrupt our relationship with God today.

We must place all of our concerns in God's hands!

Forget about the past, Trust God for the future, and devote the present to God!

"Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass." Psalm 37:5a

When we commit to Him it means to trust Him with everything including family, friends, our jobs, our whole existence to His control and guidance.

When we commit to Him, we are saying that God can better take care of us than we can ourselves.

While we walking, it out He is working it out!

"Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him:" Psalm 37:7

We have to give ourselves to Him for His use and safe keeping.

Surrender yourself to God for His use!

"Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established." Proverbs 16:3

How close are you and Jesus?

"If My people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

Did you know that you have to die to self daily so that He can get close to you?

Do you watch as He passes by?

Do you dare draw close to His glory?

Do you want more of God?

Do you press in for more of God?

Do you know about God - or do you know God?

The more of our self that dies out for the things of God the closer God gets.

God wants us to press into Him so that we can learn those secrets of the kingdom.

Our salvation is a free gift, but being in God's glory will cost you everything.

He wants us to press in and live, dwell in His glory.

We need to be saturated with His glory daily so we can stay in His presence daily.

His glory will take us to the altar where we lay everything down and die out to self.

When we are in our self we hold back the glory of God.

The flesh has to die a spiritual death to be able to get into His presence.

Ask Him to send the fire to burn away everything that isn't from Him, all you have to lose is your fleshly nature.

If you are religious you won't make it long in the kingdom.

God wants an intimate relationship between you and Him!

God wants a people who are after His heart, His way of doing things.

God wants people who are after Him, to see Him more, who want to be close to Him.

God wants a people who will die on the altar of brokenness.

The altar of brokenness is a long, rough road, where things do not come quickly, easily or cheaply. On this road God will produce His character in us.

Do you die daily?

"I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily" I Corinthians 15:31

We have got to be totally sold out to Him!

Show us your glory!

Father we want to see Your face.

Father we want to be saturated, intoxicated in your presence!

Do you trust God through suffering? - Part One

"Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you." Matthew 5:11-12 Living Bible

Do you have the aroma of Our Lord and Savior?

Do you have humility?

Do you have selflessness?

Do you have the aroma of the world?

Do you worry about wealth?

Do you care about power?

Are you so busy that you don't know the Lord of the house?

What does your attitude say about you?

It is through affliction that He teaches us many precious lessons. Through our affliction He will draw us to the throne of grace, gently takes the cares of the world away, and will give us a longing for heaven.

"For to you it has been granted for Christ's sake, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake, experiencing the same conflict which you saw in me, and now hear to be in me." Philippians 1:29-30 Living Bible

When we suffer we should count suffering as a blessing. It is dying out of self.

Death is a reality.

Death involves suffering.

Suffering is required for growth.

While suffering we are to represent Christ, letting His light shine through us.

"For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things, and through whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to perfect the author of their salvation through sufferings. Hebrews 2:10 Living Bible

Jesus did not have to suffer for His salvation as He was perfect.

Jesus created the necessary work for our salvation.

"Although He was a Son, He learned obedience from the things which He suffered. And having been made perfect, He became to all those who obey Him the source of eternal salvation." Hebrews 5:8-9 Living Bible

Through the obedience that was perfect, Jesus can help us obey.

With Jesus with us, we know that we can face anything, cause we know that He is with us!

As Jesus suffered He entered into His fulfillment of maturity and mission.

As we grow into maturity we shall grow for more meat of the Word and not just milk.

"For everyone that useth milk is unskillful in the Word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil." Hebrews 5:13-14 KJV

As we grow into maturity we will go past elementary teachings into a deeper faith walk.

Do you trust God through suffering? Part Two

"Though He were a Son, yet learned He obedience by the things which He suffered:And being made perfect, He became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey Him." Hebrews 5:8-9 KJV

It is important to remember that when we suffer we are not alone!

God is with us!

Our fellow believers also go through the same experiences, they share in the same suffering that we go through.

Jesus was perfect in every sense!

Jesus is perfect in every sense!

When He obeyed He was demonstrating His perfection to us.

Perfection means completeness; or maturity.

Jesus shared His human experiece completely.

Jesus shared not only good deeds, miracles, love, but through His suffering.

Through His suffering He has offered eternal salvation.

He loved us so much He died for us.

"For the Son of Man is come to seek and to save that which was lost." Luke 19:10

Jesus left no stone unturned to find you!

When we suffer it strips away the pretense that life is good, and that everything we need is here, that pretense that keeps us looking in all the wrong places, things for the satisfaction of our souls.

When we suffer we are not alone!

God is right there beside us.

When we suffer our relationship with Him deepens.

In our adversity this is where we learn how to bow before His sovereignty.

In our adversity this is where we learn to trust in His wisdom.

In adversity this is where we can experiece the consolations of His love.

In adversity we will come to the place as Job has said, "I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear; But now my eyes sees You;" Job 42:5

In adversity we will find true faith through humility.

In adversity we will pass from knowing about God to knowing Him personally. We will have that intimate time with Him.

In adversity we are not alone, God is with us!

The storm that you are going through may be wild, and you think that you have no way out, God is right there beside you. He is waiting for an invitation to come in.

Storms are only temporary - God is eternal!

The storm will pass - God will always be with you!

"The way to find yourself is in the fires of sorrow.... If you receive yourself in the fires of sorrow, God will make you nourishment for other people" - Oswald Chambers

It is through the storms of life that we learn to trust Him implicitly, that we are freed from the weight of our suffering.

It is through our suffering that we become closer, more intimate with our Lord and Savior.

It is through our suffering that our light shines a little brighter, as we have been with Jesus.

"When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee; when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burnt; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee." Isaiah 43:2

When we go in our own strength we will likely fail.

We need to invite the Lord to go with us - He will protect us.

His grace is sufficient for Thee

But He said to me, My grace (my favor and loving kindness and mercy) is enough for you (sufficient against any danger and enables you to bear the trouble manfully): for my strength and power are made perfect (fulfilled and completed) and show themselves most effective in your weakness. Therefore I will all the more gladly glory in my weakness and infirmities, That the strength and power of Christ (the Messiah) may rest (yes, may pitch a tent over and dwell) upon me! II Corinthians 12:9 Amplified

All of your distractions need to go to the Lord!

He Loves You just the way you are.

He can change you.

When we are tired we just need to look to God for that refreshing.

His favor, His joy, His gratitude is thank worthy and sufficient for thee.

His strength is made perfect in our weakness.

Let Your glory rest upon us.

Let our song, our heart worship Thee!

Hold fast to that power which is in your life.

The joy of the Lord is our strength.

"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." Philippians 4:13

Let go and give up your anxiety, give into God's will. There will be an answer when you can receive freely.

"Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." John 14:27

Tuesday, June 06, 2006

This is the day the Lord has made!

"This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice in it." Psalm 118:24

There is nothing that should keep us from enjoying His presence.

There is no superstition in God!

There is only good in God!

There are days when the last thing on your mind is to rejoice. It is when our mood is down, or our situation is out of hand (so you think), or grief is overwhelming. No matter how low we feel, we be honest with ourself and with God. No matter how we feel, or how we pray to God we must give Him the prasie. No matter what the situation looks like! When you don't feel like rejoiceing, this is when we must get our mind set back on Him, and not on our situation.

God has already given us a reason to rejoice. He let us take another breath, He has let us stay to worship Him, because it is His good pleasure to let us do so.

God has given us this day to live and to serve Him!

"I will rejoice and be glad in Your loving kindness, because You have seen my affliction." Psalm 31:7

"O satisfy us in the morning with Your loving kindness, that we may sing for joy and be glad all of our days." Psalm 90:14

Monday, June 05, 2006

Are you an ambassador for God?

"Now then we are ambassadors for Christ,..."

An ambassador is one who is generally not a citizen of the country in which they are assigned to live.

An ambassador drives only the best, and has one of the most beautiful houses you have ever seen.

Which ever country the ambassador is from they only get the best.

Take for example if we sent an ambassador to another country, they would have the very best of everything that our country has to offer, that is because we want to show everyone else what kind of life style that we have to offer in America.

It is the very same way with our Lord.

He offers us the very best of everything.

All we have to do is ask, and receive, and walk it out.

The moment we say yes, we are His ambassadors.

We have the very best.

We get to sit a t the King's table.

We have to have that experience between our Lord and us to be the very best ambassador that we can be.

How do you present yourself?

Can others see heaven through us?

How do you live?

What is your life style like?

We carry ourselves exactly how we live.

Do you have that heavenly citizenship?

Are you passing His Word to those who need to hear it?

We must get out of ourselves and into God, then we can do His work.

We are not to think of ourselves more highly than Christ - it is wrong.

What do your actions portray about you?

Are you an ambassador at work?

Are you an ambassador for your children?

Are you an ambassador at the store?

Are you an ambassador after you get out of church on the church parking lot?

Are you an ambassador when you go out to eat?

Are you an ambassador when you go swimming.

Are you an ambassador when you go to the movies?

Are you an ambassador when you are not around your friends and no one is looking.

Wherever you go are you showing yourself as an ambassador of Christ?

What do your actions portray about you?

When we get beyond our earthly things then we will be able to tap into heaven and help distribute to those who need it.

We are called to be His ambassador - won't you answer His call today?

Sunday, June 04, 2006

Do you hear from God?

"Behold I stand at the door and knock if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come into Him, and will sup with Him and He with me." Revelation 3:20

Have you heard the voice of God today?

Do you take the time to listen to what He has to say?

Are you willing to go where He sends you?

One can not hear God if we are too busy doing our own thing.

We can not hear God when we do not take the time to get into His word.

We can not hear from God when we think we already know the answer without even consulting Him.

Obedience - He educates us through this.

Obedience will bring us to a place of more insight.

Obedience will give us the strength to overcome.

Learning to be obedient, not what we see as the need, but the will of the Father!

Every step that we take He should be our way!

Every breath we breathe we need to breathe in Him. Nothing less should do!

He wants to bring us into His understanding.

When we are obedient we can come to that place where we can come face to face with Him.

Being obedient is evidence that God is in us!

He has freed us!

Living He loved us

Dying He saved us

Buried He carried our sins away

Raised He justified us

And above all

He freed us Forever!

Is there less of you?

"He must increase, but I must decrease." John 3:30

Are you running from Him?

Are you trying to get as close as you can?

Do you want to see Him face to face?

Are you tired of just knowing about Him?

Do you have that intimate relationship with Him?

Are you willing to pay the price for that closeness with Him?

"A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven." John 3:27b

When we decrease, then and only then shall He increase in our life.

Less of us means more of Him!

When there is less of us, then there is more room for more of Him.

The more of us that dies the closer that He can get.

When we remove our ways out of the picture then we can get closer to the Righteous One.

We can walk with God, but our stinking flesh must "die daily."

No matter who you are, or what you have done, what religious tradition you embrace; the only way you are going to go through the veil, that veil is death of your flesh.

The death of genuine repentance and brokenness before God will allow you to draw near Him.

We must take up our cross and live for Jesus.

When we die daily we will see Him in the source of all power.

"For now we see through a glass darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known" I Corinthians 13:12

Thursday, June 01, 2006

God is always there!

"Be strong and of good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, He is it that doth go with thee; He will not fail thee, nor forsake thee." Deuteronomy 31:6

We all suffer, there is no getting around it.

We all suffer, it is part of our existence.

Sometimes we bring the pain upon ourselves.

Sometimes some other people bring it to us.

There are even times that getting hurt is unavoidable.

We are all human and we will be hurt.

God does for you what you can not do for yourself.

You have thought....

There is no way I can do that.
There is no way out.
There is no one to help me.
I can't face this alone.
I can't stop crying.
No one know what I'm going through.
I'm just a failure.
I'm not strong enough to make it.
What did I do wrong?

No matter what you have thought you made it through.

In our problems, in our difficulties, in our life this is where some of us meet God for the first time.

We meet God right at that moment where we fail, at that moment that we recognize that we are in need.

We need His presence.

We meet God in that place where there is nothing left but a desperate plea for help.

When we are not in need we are blind to His presence.

God is there all the time we just fail to see it.

It is through the pain that we draw close.

No matter what you have been through, what you will go through, God is right beside you!

When we find the strength of God can guide us through a difficult time, or give us insight, we may feel as if this strength did not exist till we found it.

The truth is the strength of God is within us all along.

It is just like oxygen.

The absence of oxygen or the threat of it being taken away frightens us.
Many basics of life are just there, and we rejoice when we discover them.

God is always there!

At times we are fortunate to discover His presence.

At other times we think that we have discovered it, but it is all God.

We do not need to "drum up God" so to speak.

We think we can get God to act if we pray enough, or if we are good enough.

We all makes all kinds of promises when we are frightened.

These promise come out of fear.

We try to do what we can in our helplessness.

We think that as we pray we bring God into existence, we cannot!

God is with us whether or not we feel His presence!

God's presence has always been there!

We do not control God!

God is there regardless of the situation!

"For He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." Hebrews 13:5
