Daily Walk with the Holy Spirit

Difficult times were predicted.

"But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For many will be lovers of self. Lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, maliceious gossips, without self control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure than lovers of God, holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied it's power; avoid such men as these." 2 Timothy 3:1-5 Living Bible

Does this sound like a description of our country today?

Yes, It does.

This was written more than two thousand years ago.

All the complications of life have bled into our walk of faith.

There is to be an emphasis on the way that we live our life.

There must be a transformation first in our thinking, and in our living.

There is no middle ground, no alternative.

We are to be about His business, kingdom business.

"But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you." Luke 12:31 KJV

We need to get our priorities straight.

When we get our priorities straight then everything else will fall into place.

Our marriages, health, our jobs, where and how we live will be of little importance.

He expects and deserves our obedience, our very lives!

We shall either go to Him or walk away from Him, it is as simple as that.

Simple is not always easy!

"Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many therebe which go in there at: because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it." Matthew 7:13-14

The gate to eternal life is called narrow. (Read John 10:7-9)

There is only one way to walk, believing in our risen Lord.

"But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him." Hebrews 11:6

When we say that we believe He is we are saying that...

He is in control

He is sovereign

He is Lord of all

He is everything we need.

God has everything in His hands!

There is no limit in God, we are the one's who limit God!

Don't limit God with your doubt and unbelief.

We should make the most of the time God has given us.

Don't settle for less than the very best, which only comes from the best, a life in Christ.

Don't give into society's pressures.

Take a stand in your commitment for Christ.

Don't get caught up with Christian cliches', or just going to church, or just knowing the Christian doctrine just to look good.

God doesn't look to see whether or not you look good, do good, but He looks upon your heart.

"But the Lord said unto Samuel, look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart." 1 Samuel 16:7
