How well do you keep your word?

"Set a guard, O Lord, before my mouth; keep watch at the door of my lips." Psalm 141:3

Is your mouth busy telling of all your troubles and those of the one's around you?

Do you mean what you say?

Do you not say anything when someone has told you something confidentially?

Do you spill your guts (so to speak), or let the cat out of the bag?

Have you let your friends down?

Are you trustworthy?

How is your reputation?

God is as good as His Word!

Are you?

"He who calls you is faithful; He will surely do it." I Thessalonians 5:24

Our mouth gives us the expressions to how we feel, what we think, what we want, how we say those expressions.

Our mind tells us what we think, not of how God thinks.

Our will tells us what we want, not what God wants!

Our emotions are that of what we feel, not of how God feels!

Why not how God thinks, wants, or feels?

It is because our soul is full of self!

It is like a promise that you gave to someone who said that it was to stay just between you and them.

How do you feel when you hear something that you have told someone get back to you?

If they had a problem with keeping that promise why did they not tell you I'm not the person to tell.

Why did it have to come from other sources?

Why were they not direct?

There is a big difference between good intentions and reality.

Sometimes the problem come in that others do not really disappoint us, we disappoint ourselves!

I can only think of one person who has ever fulfilled every promise He has made.

He will not ever disappoint you!

"Therefore saith the Lord God, Behold I lay in Zion for a foundation, a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation; he that believeth shall not make haste." Isaiah 28:16

When others let you down or you let yourself down, learn to rejoice in Jesus!

It is in Him we find security!

It is in Him we find peace!

It is in Him we can find trust!

It is in Him we find grace!

It is in Him we find mercy!

It is in Him we find joy!

It is in Him we find eternal future!

We can count on Him when we stay in His presence!

Jesus will not cast us out!

"All that the Father giveth Me shall come to Me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out." John 6:37

Jesus will come to us!

"I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you." John 14:18

We shall go into His glory to be where He is!

"Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given Me, be with Me where I am; that they may behold My glory, which thou hast given Me: for thou lovedest Me before the foundation of the world." John 17:24

Are you listening?

"And He said unto them, Take heed what you hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measure to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given." Mark 4:24

Are you listening to what God has to say?

Are you listening to more of what the world has to say?

Do you daily listen to talk radio?

Do you read the newspaper?

Do these things replace the things of God in your life?

How often do you rush into your day without God's power?

It is bad to start a day without power!

Power of God or even electrical power.

How much would it inconvenience you if you had no use of phone, no alarm clock to wake you up, no microwave, no coffee makers working all because the power has gone out.

This would not only inconvience you but, also would disrupt your life, huh?

It is like that with God!

When we don't listen to God we are being disrespectful.

Not only that but we are not getting the power that we need to make it through the day.

We need that electricity to power the daily things in our life, as we do need the power of God.

The power of God will sustain us in all areas of our life.

When we have His power in us we are not limited to what we can do when He is in us.

We shall not react with a Spirit of fear.

God does not give fear!

"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." I Timothy 1:7

We as Christians must be spiritually dressed for anything that comes our way.

It goes back to that power outage - it is short lived, but the lesson in that is we need to start seeking the Lord in the beginning of each day!

We can and should not rely on others power to get us through!

His strength is not for our success or our well being, but for us, for our will, so that we may glorify Him, by living in His power!

There is no lack in His power!

All the power we will ever need is in Him!

Why would you not want what He has to offer if you are His child?

Jesus is listening to your every word.

Hew hears your every prayer.

He knows your every need.

We will only fail and keep failing if we do not have His power!

Our daddy can give us everything.

Most of all He can set us free from our bondage!

Without His power in our life it is like a daily disaster!

It would stay longer than just an electrical power outage.

Do you like getting dressed and groomed in the dark?

You are spiritually everyday without His power, when you do not begin each day with our gracious, loving, Lord.

What shall it be - bondage or freedom?

Have you been adopted into His family?

"For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father." Romans 8:15

He gives peace.

"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters." Psalm 23:1-2

Peace is one of the greatest gifts given to us!

"Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." John 14:27

Do you know the difference between the world's peace and God's peace?

The world's is that if green pastures and still waters.

The world's peace is untroubled existence, and being well in body and spirit.

In Jesus there is no condemnation.

It is the peace that comes as we are in the midst of a trial or war.

This peace comes to those who are willing to fight for our Lord's cause.

Stephen had peace before the Sanhedrin and under the stones that crushed him.

God wants us to praise Him for those green pastures and those quiet episodes, those quiet walks beside the still waters.

Even through our trials and troubles God has not abandoned us!

He is right there beside us!

It is through our trials and troubles that we become stronger through Him!

God's goodness to us is beyond what natural man can do or give.

We should not just take part of our testimony, but us all of it.

The natural man only shows His goods and that He lives upto His obligations.

To the natural man if we are in trouble, or something bad happens then God has failed.

God never fails!

Today we think that green pastures and still waters are encased in the terms of peace of mind, security, being top at all you do, having a perfect figure, and there are others.

It is accepted universally and is wrong.

It is about God!

What can He do through you?

God doesn't have a duty to give you happiness and peace.

He wants to, because He loves you!

"And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:7

"For to be carnally minded is death: but to be spiritually minded is life and peace." Romans 8:6

Thy sins are forgiven.

"And He said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven." Luke 7:48

Can God really forgive?

Yes, He can!

Do you feel guilty for what you have done?

Do you feel as if you don't deserve forgiveness?

Do you think that forgiveness is for other people and not you?

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" Romans 3:23

Generally when we come to Jesus we are in pain.

They came to Jesus crawling through dirt, lying on a mat, begging in the street; all were torn, rejected, used and afraid, yet they still came.

They came and He healed them.

Not one of us deserves His forgiveness.

If we deserved it, then it wouldn't be called forgiveness.

"As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:" Romans 3:10

Is your hearts cry Lord if You are willing, make me clean?

Are you thinking that He is the Son of the Living God, what could I possibly mean to Him?

God is no respecter of persons!

Whatever we have done, we can know that it does not disqualify us from being forgiven!

There is nothing so shocking that God can't deal with.

We must recognize our sin, and ask for that forgiveness.

There were all sorts of bad people whom God loved and forgaved, and changed for the better.

David - a man after God's own heart - Had a man killed so that he could steal his wife.

David wrote:"that God hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities...As far as the east is from the west, so far hath He removed our transgressions from us." Psalm 103:10 & 12

Even the Apostle Paul, he used to perscute Christians before his conversion.

Paul wrote: "that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief." I Timothy 1:15b

Even Jesus forgave.

He forgave those whom crucified Him.

He gave new hope for the thief on the cross.

Read Luke 23:34-43

If these people can receive forgiveness then, we can receive it for today.

Let His hand reach out and touch you!

Let His love explode through your soul, your body!

Let that Mighty Wind take away every tear, every compromise, your every confusion.

Let that Mighty Wind take away all the rejection, all the hurt, all the rebellion from yesterday, today and beyond.

In His love He stops what He is doing and turns His attention on you.

It is His love that compels Him to reach out and reach into your wounds and to restore that which was lost.

It is His LOVE for you!

It is His Love!

His Love will set your heart a beating.

His love will start pumping new life through your body!

His love will set your feet a dancing!

His love will cause you to leap into those strong arms and start to weep like a baby.

All because He Love You (Me).

He is the Son of the Living God and He even Love Me (You).

He loves us pure and simple.

Don't think that your too good to need forgiveness.

Our sins are not bigger than God's faithfulness!

God is waiting right there for you.

Just ask Him.

The Bible says that:"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." I John 1:9

"For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more." Hebrews 8:12

"Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and He will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon." Isaiah 55:7

Have you stumbled lately?

"The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and He delighteth in His way. Though he fall, he shall not utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with His hand." Psalm 37:23-24

Have you stumbled?

I know that I have seen many people stumble and fall.

It could be as simple as tripping over you own two feet.

Maybe you have watched someone else.

Maybe you have stumbled in your walk with God?

Maybe you feel guilty.

Maybe you feel like a failure.

Maybe you wished that you had not opened your mouth and said what you had said.

Maybe you wish that you had not done what you did.

Maybe you wished you had not responded that way.

Could be you feel miserable, discouraged, and you would like to hide.

Wait maybe you would like to crawl off and die.

Nothing is more humiliating or embarrassing than when we fall flat in our pride.

The first thing that we want to do is to look around and see who might have been watching.

We just want to become invisible.

Even though we want to hide our on lookers have that look of sympathy.

Most times the immediate response is to help the one who has stumbled.

In all of our stumbling we have been able to get right back on our feet, shrugging off the humiliation and went on about what we had to do.

In James it talks about our stumbling.

All of us have stumbled at some point in our life.

Nobody is perfect here on earth, and to stumble is perfectly normal.

We stumble in what we say.

We stumble in how we present ourselves.

We stumble by not listening to the voice of God.

We stumble in not obeying the laws of the land.

The list is endless....

The point is we all stumble.

But God...

God is there to pick us up again and help get us started back on the right path.

We have to get up brush off the dirt, self pity and remember the promise of God for His forgiveness.

Don't be one who stumbles and gives up.

God wants to use you!

Even in all your stumbling!

He can't use you if you chose to give up.

Don't give up.

God never gives up on you!
Yield not to temptation, for yielding is sin.
-Each victory will help you some other to win;
-Fight manfully onward, dark passions subdue,
-Look ever to Jesus - He will carry you through! - Palmer

"For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast unto the end." Hebrews 3:14

He should be your passion!

I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever." Psalm 145:1

I think that one of my favorite Psalms is 145 take time to read it all the way through.

Have you ever thought about Jesus as a human?

Have you ever wondered what Jesus might have felt walking among His creation?

Wonder what He thought of the sound and feel of the dirt between His toes?

This is the same One who created the earth centuries before only now in human form.

Can you imagine how He felt as the wind that He calls by name whips through His hair?

Can you imagine how He felt as He was waist deep in the Sea of Galilee and the very waves that He set in motion slapped against His chest.

We only can imagine what must have went through His mind.

He alone could understand what His life would count for.

His very steps, His every moment upon this earth was ordained before the foundation of the world.

Every smile and every tear, every conversation, everything that He was and is today and will always be was set in motion before the foundation of the earth.

"Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given Me, be with Me where I am; that they may behold My glory, which thou hast given Me: for thou lovedst Me before the foundation of the world." John 17:24

How is it that we have reduced Jesus to just an image?

He came as God in the flesh!

He is not a folklore!

Life with Jesus is not just a formality!

He came in the form of a person just like you and me!

There He is, the power, the goodness, the glory, and the majesty wrapped up in human form.

His hands were the Ones that put the stars in the sky!

He put the sun, and moon into being!

He came and lived an earthly life just like you and I.

Walking and living among the most treasured, most valued thing to Him: His creation!

He laughed with us.

He ate with us.

He cried just like us and over us.

He was on a mission.

The mission of Love.

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved." John 3:16-17

Jesus knew and still knows the value of our soul.

Jesus pressed in tirelessly, marching forward.

He never looked back!

He never indulged in disappointment!

He never wasted an opportunity to tell about heaven.

He never held a complaint, or grudge, or even a regret.

Jesus just kept pressing in!

Do you keep pressing in?

Do you talk about your heavenly Father?

Do you bring joy with you wherever you go?

Jesus brought joy, liberty, healing and truth to each person that He met.

What about you?

Do you share the truth?

Do you share God's good news?

It is worth it all even if one shall be saved.

What would it have felt like to stare Him face to face and look Him in the eyes?

His hands were hard and calloused, thick and strong, from it comes protection, and strength, and tenderness.

His voice was full of passion.

Life flows from Him.

Death comes from the simple lack of not trusting in Him.

The Son of God!

All the power of heaven at His fingertips, and not once did He use any of it for Himself.

He was always giving it away!

All that He did and all that He was, all His joy, and life giving breath of His excellence.

It was all for other people.

It was always to the honor of His Father!

Can we say that we do things just to give God the honor?

How do you describe the One who is indescribable?

In Him our every struggle is resolved.

He is the beginning and the end.

He is the fullness of life!

He is the gateway to eternity!

He is the hope of all ages!

"For in Him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also His offspring." Acts 17:28

Repent ye....

" From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." Matthew 4:17

Before I begin I just want to tell you that no man knows the time or the hour of our Lord's return.

I will tell you this that we are seeing Bible Prophecy unfold right before our very eyes over in the Middle East.

Is your life a mess?

Are you right with God?

If Jesus were to walk upto you right now what would you ask Him for?

Would you go to heaven to hell?

How would you spend eternity?

Is your heart right?

Have you been stripped to the bone of earthly goods?

Have you been rejected and spit at by the world?

Do you feel so utterly desperate that you can't go on?

Do you have the feeling of not being satisfied?

Are you crying out for the Father's strength?

Do you wait on the Father for what He has for you each day?

When you think of someone coming to and talking about repentance do you think of someone who stands on a street corner?

"Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." Matthew 4:17

This message is so ever understood: most people think of condemnation, judgment, Armageddon, and the wrath of Almighty God.

Thank you Jesus!

There is nothing farther from the truth!

Repentance is not condemnation!

Repentance is liberation!

It is freedom!

It is not judgment!

It is Joy!

It's not Armageddon!

It's not death!

It is a new birth!

It is not the wrath of God!

It is an invitation to one of the biggest parties.

The excitement above all excitement!

We are invited to the Wedding Feast of eternal life!

I don't know about you but I get excited just thinking about my God and what He has done for me, and that I am going to spend eternity with Him.

You don't have to wait for some dark and ugly, gloomy day of God's revenge.

By then it will be too late.

"..the kingdom of heaven is at hand." Matthew 4:17

It is now!

It is knocking at your heart's door.

"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me." Revelation 3:20

Will you answer?

Will you let the King of Glory come in today?

All you have to do is ask!

It makes no matter what you have done.

Come and let Him change you.

Come let Him mold and shape your life.

"Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light." Matthew 11:28-30

How do you see God?

"To the end that my glory may sing praises unto Thee, and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks unto Thee for ever." Psalm 30:12

Do you go through life being grateful for what God has provided?

Are you a grumbler?

Are you angry at God?

Do you take God's love for granted?

Do you assume that just because you are a good person that nothing bad will happen to you?

Do you have simple faith?

Do you give Him honor?

Do you give Him praise?

Do you struggle to find God in your life?

Was God the reward at the end of a long and enduring search?

"I will extol Thee, O Lord; for thou hast lifted me up, and hast not made my foes to rejoice over me.
O Lord my GOd, I cried unto Thee, and thou hast healed me.
O Lord, Thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: Thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.
Sing unto the Lord, O ye saints of His, and give thanks at the remembrance of His holiness.
For His anger endureth but a moment; in His favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
And in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved.
Lord, by Thou favour Thou hast made my mountain stand strong: Thou didst hide Thy face, and I was troubled.
I cried to Thee, O Lord; and unto thr Lord I made supplication.
What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise Thee? Shall it declare Thy truth?
hear, O Lord, and have mercy upon me: Lord be Thou my helper.
Thou hast turned for me mourning into dancing: Thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;
To the end that my glory may sing praise unto Thee, and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks unto Thee for ever."
- Psalm 30-

Do you give God the sacrifice of thanksgiving?

Paslm 30 is talking about the helper - the Lord!

Have you ever taken God's love for granted as this one did in this Psalm?

It is when we are going through troubles that we find a more profound understanding of God.

Do you feel as if your whole world has just collapsed?

Have you found yourself deathly ill, to the point of knocking on death's door?

Have youi tried to figure out why this is happening to you?

Have you ever cried out save my life for Your sake, not mine?

Have you ever felt the absence of God?

Tears only linger for a little while , but joy comes in the morning.

When we lose faith in a childish understanding of God; it is not the same as losing faith in God!

When we think we lose our faith through these stuggles, it will only come back deeper, and stronger than before.

God not only wants us to worship Him when things go smooth, but in the rough rocky road also.

God will give us the grace and determination to keep us even when it gets too rocky.

God did not promise that he will keep us from stumbling, but that He will be there to help us get up again no matter how many times we may stumble and fall.

When we do not give Him praise, or are being ungrateful ie: health, food, friends, sunshine , that next breath of air, finances, not matter what it is, in a sense we are already dead.

Most of us get mad at God if we get sick, or someone dies, something bad happens. Why?

God does not owe us anything, we owe Him everything!

Has the experience in which you have been through changed after you came out, or are you the very same person you were before the experience?

God wants us to learn to see HIm in places that we might not have had seen Him before.

Sometimes we must endure that pain that will shatter the old self, your worldly view, andwill give birth to a new self.

It is in that struggle that we find God, even deeper than before!

Let God's anger be that sharp pain that will turn you away from sin.

Don't get caught up in false security - God is the only One to depend upon!

When you depend upon God for your security, you won't get shaken when worldy things start to disappear.

God is righteous and loving and wants to deliver His people.

"Thou hast dealt well with thy servant, O Lord, according unto thy word." Psalm 119:65

A prayer from Psalm 91.

Father I praise you!

I thank you that I dwell in the secret place of the Most High.

I thank you that I shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty.

I will say of You, Lord, "the Lord is my refuge and my fortress, my God; on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I confidently trust!"

For then you will deliver me from the snare of the fowler and from deadly pestilence.

You will cover me with your feathers, and under Your wings shall I take refuge.

Your truth and Your faithfulness are a shield and buckler.

I shall not be afraid of the terror of the night, nor of the arrow that flies by day (the evil plots and slanders of the wicked), nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor of the destruction and sudden death that surprise and lay waste at noonday.

A thousand shall fall at my side, and ten thousand at my right hand, but it shall not come near me!

Only a spectator shall I be as I witness the reward of the wicked.

Because I have made you, Lord, my refuge, and the Most High my dwelling place, there shall no evil befall me, nor any plague or calamity come near my dwelling.

For You will give Your angels special charge over me, to accompany and defend and preserve me in all my ways of disobedience and service.

Your angels shall bear me up on their hands, lest I dash my foot against a stone.

I shall tread upon the lion and adder; the young lion and the serpent shall I trample under foot.

Because I have set my love upon You, therefore will You deliver me.

You will set me on high, because I know and understand Your name!

I have personal knowledge of Your mercy, Your love, Your kindness.

I trust and rely on You!

I know that You will never forsake me.

I shall call upon You, and You will answer me.

You will be with me in trouble!

You will deliver and honor me.

With long life You will satisfy me and show me Your salvation!

I thank You, Lord, for hearing my prayer and for answering me.

I ask all this in the name of Jesus, my Savior!

You can do it!

"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." Philippians 4:13

Are you having trouble kicking that nasty habit?

Are you always doing things over and over again?

Do you feel trapped by that habit of dependence of alcohol, addiction to drugs, cravings for nicotine?

Do you feel trapped by the habit of dependence of the lure of sensual lust, or a pill for every ill?

Do you know that you can be trapped by simple habits like gossip, worry, profanity, and irritability?

These simple habits are often practiced each and everyday without guilt and justified mentally.

The list is endless, for our habits as a numerous as every detail of our daily life.

Are you having a problem staying away from that problem which faces you each day?

Does that habit have you in it's grip?

God wants you to know that You have power over that thing that besets you, because of the power of Christ that is in you!

Victory is possible through the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit!

Habits are living contradictory to God's Word!

"All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: not all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any." I Corinthians 6:12

We are to be free in Christ.

We are to live free from sin.

we are to live free from guilt.

We are to live free from habits.

We have the freedom and privledge to use and enjoy any and all the free gifts that come from God.

Christian freedom means that everything goes!

Our salvation is not of works, but by the free gift of God!

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and not that of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works lest any man should boast." Ephesians 2:8-9

We are not be mastered by something.

If we are mastered of something we are being held under the authority of that thing that has it's grip on our life.

We have got to come to the point in our life that we stop rationalizing.

We need to stop making comments like...

Oh, that's just the way I am.
Oh, that's just me.
After all no one is perfect.
That is the way I have always been always will be.

Hey, hold on a minute!

I thought that if Jesus was in your heart that we were supposed to want to change and not stay the same.

What are you trying to deliberately be disobedient?

Are you trying to ignore God's Spirit that is in you to help convict you each time you do wrong.

It is that little voice inside of you telling you that it is wrong.

It is that knowing that something just isn't quite right.

We need to take each habit one at a time, that way you can stay on target.

We know that God can release that habit instantly, but we need to be prepared if it doesn't happen immediately.

Even if you have periodic failures - get right back up and keep plugging away.

You are on the road to ultimate triumph!

When you have an attitude of stick to itivness it will strengthen your self discipline.

We need to let go of that admission of defeat.

We need to focus our attention on the One who is worthy!

He will be with you there in that moment of need!

He is ready to help you with all the power you will ever need!

Stop wrestling with those habits and give them over to God!

"I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye." Psalm 32:8

Have you met Jesus?

"Behold I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come into him, and will sup with him, and he with Me." Revelation 3:20

Meeting Jesus!

Are there any other two words more breath taking?

Meeting Jesus!

It is all significant to meet Jesus!

The best friend that you will ever have!

The Bible tell us that a friend loves at all times!

This is the friend that sticks closer than a brother!

"A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticks closer than a brother." Proverbs 18:24

God is not unaware of your troubles.

His very love is reaching out to you this very moment!

The Word of God - The Bible, says...

"But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8

"Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins." I John 4:10

God has permitted this trial to come into your life so that you might turn to Him.

He wants you to receive His love!

God's love and care for you is unchangeable.

You can depend upon His faithfulness to give you the strengthen to meet each new day with its trials and burdens!

"Thy shoes shall be iron and brass: and as thy days, so shall thy strength be." Deuteronomy 33:25

Your strength will equal your days.

So it shall be with God's care!

He supplies sufficient strength and grace for present needs!

He is always there with you through each and every moment!

He cares about your present need.

God cares!

Have you met Jesus?

Have you asked Him to come into your heart and live?

Have you called out to the living God?

Have you met Jesus?

Have you looked into His eyes?

Have you peeked into His heart?

Have you turned and locked eyes with Him face to face?

He is God in the flesh.

Has He rested His hand, in all its strength upon your shoulder?

The touch of God in the flesh.

Have you met Jesus?

If you have not, then come!

"For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved." John 3:17

"But what saith it? The Word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the Word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:8-10

God still cares!

"And lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen" Matthew 28:20

Have you lost everything you own?

Have you lost a loved one?

Do you think that no one is concerned about you?

Are you just tired of the everyday struggle?

Have your life long dreams suddenly just vanished?

"I have looked on my right hand, and beheld, but there was no man who knew me: refuge failed me; no man cared for my soul." Psalm 142:4

Does this sound like you?

Guess what?

There is good news!

God still cares!

There is One who still cares about your wants and needs!

He wants to be your closest friend!

Many friends drop out when the going gets rough, but God never fails those who put their trust in Him!

We are to cast all of our cares, worries, anxieties all our problems upon God, cause He care for us!

"Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you." I Peter 5:7

What ever burden, problem that you are facing God will not let you bear it alone!

He has proved to countless people over the years that have trusted in Him.

God cares for you!

His love for you was seen as Jesus died for you!

There is no greater love!

No matter what the circumstances are that you are in God still cares!

He can not love you any more!

He will not love you any less!

He loves you, just the way you are!

He loved you so much that He lay His own life down for yours!

"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay do His life for His friends." John 15:13

Will you let God prove to be a loving and lasting friend to you?

I ask you to cast all your cares upon Him as the Bible says.

Look to Him for your every need!

He is your only hope of rescue!

"Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain thee: He shall never suffer the righteous to be removed." Psalm 55:22

Are you disciplined in prayer?

"And He that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because He maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God." Romans 8:27

Are you daily spending time in fellowship with Jesus?

Do you accept the situation that you are in?

Do you praise Him in every situation?

Do you have a habit of praying?

If you do not you can start small, you can start with just a few minutes, because you can always add more time.

Do you use God's Word when you pray?

God's Word will give you that hope to hold onto in your situation.

At the same time God's word will let you remind God about you what He has said about your situation.

One of my favorite scriptures to use is : "Beloved wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prosperth." III John 2

This gently reminds God that He would that we would prosper and be in health even as our soul prospers.

It is good to use scripture when we pray.

You need to keep that commitment of praying each day.

If you are just starting out, it is good to have a friend to be accountable with just to help you get in the habit.

Someone in whom you can call or have them call you just to make sure at that appointed time you have set aside, to help you be faithful to your commitment.

Are you an early bird?

Are you a night owl?

Set your time with God according to how you function.

You can use a prayer list to help you get started.

On your list think about and be specific the needs of those people on your list.

You will not always need a list, God will start to bring these people to your mind with their needs.

Prayer is more than asking and receiving.

We ask and God answers.

Prayer is fellowship with God

Prayer gives us an opportunity each day to search our heart, and weed out those tears.

Prayer will increase your hunger for Him.

Do you have confidence when you pray?

Confidence is the cornerstone of prayer!

When we have confidence we know that God has heard our prayer.

We know that His disposition is to hear prayer.

His disposition is to hear, respond and bless the requests of those....

whom he hath called....
whom He hath sanctified...
whom He hath justified...
whom He has fore ordained...
to be in the body!

He responds to those who have an eternal call and destiny.

Those whom He has chosen!

Moreover whom He did predistinate, them He also called: and whom He called He justified: and whom He justified, them He also glorified." Romans 8:30

When we pray we are expressing our gratitude for His mercies!

When we pray we express our sorrow for our sins!

When we pray we are expressing our hope for His glorifying love!

When we pray we are expressing our submission to authority!

When we pray we are expressing our confidence in His care!

When we pray we are expressing our desires for His favors, and for providential and spiritual blessings for ourselves and others!

When we pray we are expressing our thanksgiving for His person.

When we pray we are assuming that God is a real and living person.

when we pray we are saying that He is immense and dwells in heaven, but is as close at hand and hears our prayers.

We assume that although He is a far off, He hears and is close by.

We assume that He is willing to communicate with us and knows not only our words, but our thoughts and the intent of our hearts!

We assume that He is in personal control!

He is in personal control of all things, all nations and the world.

Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created." Revelation 4:11

Where are you - God?

"Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is now their God? But our God is in the heavens: He hath done whatsoever He pleased." Psalm 115:2-3

Are you feeling depressed?

Are you feeling alone?

Do you feel overlooked?

Do you feel as if your spirituality is on hold, or even cold?

Do you ever wonder if behind those clouds somewhere above that there exits a personal and caring God?

Would you rather curl up in a ball and cry?

I'm here to tell you that you are Ok.

You are just experiencing a dry spell.

This is ok - and you are ok.

Just as fast as it came it shall leave.

This too shall pass.

Just be still and know that He is God.

He is doing whatever He please in your life.

He is doing what it takes to get you the way that He wants you.

Take faith my friend and believe.

The thought of life without faith is unbearable.

He is the Potter and we are His clay.

God works through us as humans.

It is just as a broken pipe it can not carry water.

All a broken pipe does is drip and leak.

At that moment it is broken and becomes useless.

It is not good for anything.

It generally causes more damage when it is broken.

This is true of us when we are broken as people.

In order to be strong and whole we must trust and believe in God.

"As for God, His way is perfect: the word of the Lord is tried: He is a buckler to all those that trust Him." Psalm 18:30

We also must believe in ourselves.

Even the strongest person on earth is weak compared to God.

We all need God!

We must become vessels fit for Him to use.

We need to let the Potter shape and form our lives as He wants.

He will guide us with His light.

He will guide us with gentle pressure.

When He is finished with us, we shall look like fine pottery.

"But now, O Lord, thou art our Father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of Thine hand." Isaiah 64:8

Are you consistent or inconsistent?

"Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all." I Timothy 4:15

Consistency is.....

A jewel worth wearing.
It is the anchor worth it's weight.
It is a thread that is worth weaving.

Christ is even in that battle when we think that we don't need Him.

He is never too early or late!

He is always right on time!

He is never in a bad mood.

He is always available.

"Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today and for ever." Hebrews 13:8

He is the same regardless.

When we are consistent we can count on each other being there for us when they said that they would be there.

Being consistent is true steadiness.

Being consistent is being reliable, dependable, trustworthy and faithful.

It is a commitment to do more than we are asked than just watching the time clock at work, or any other job in which we said that we would do.

consistency is being faithful in your tithes.

consistency is being patient regardless of the time.

We even need to be consistent in the way we treat others.

We need to be consistent even through those blasts of ridicule that seemingly punch us in the face.

Are you being consistent in your walk with God?

Are you digging into His Word on a daily basis?

Are you giving of yourself to help those around you in need?

Do you have that maturity level of consistency?

No matter what ups and downs that come our way are we ready to respond in consistency?

Paul the Apostle tells us that we need to "be instant in season and out of season.." II Timothy 4:2

We need to be happy.

We all need to work at being consistent even in the small things that life brings our way.

Is there something that really needs more attention at being consistent, work on that one thing first.

It is when we are not consistent that we get into trouble.

Do you show up on time as promised?

Do you do what you say you are going to do?

Do you follow through?

Do you always have an excuse ready for why you could not do as promised?

Do you seek shortcuts whenever possible?

Do you respect authority?

Do you always have to be center of attention?

Do you have low self esteem?

Can you answer yes to any of these things?

Take a moment and look at how you treat others around you.

Now think about those actions are they being consistent (responsible) or inconsistent(irresponsible)?

How do you measure up?

We need to be consistent and not shy away from it.

We need to take responsibility for our words, our actions, and our future.

We must not get weary in doing so.

" And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap if we faint not." Galatians 6:9

Lord teach me to pray.

"And it came to pass that, as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, one of his disciples said unto Him, Lord teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples." Luke 11:1

Are you just starting out on your journey with and toward God?

Are you crying out to God with lack of commitment knowing that we have that empty spot that we have yet to let Christ fulfill?

How can I have my prayers answered?

Do you have that inner hunger that will not go away?

Do I need a formula?

Prayer is like acquiring a new skill.

We start awkwardly, quite unsure, and we move self consciously.

As we grow with Christ we will learn to pray.

We will develop a warm relationship as if He were standing right there and we were talking to Him.

We can only have that feeling when we actually pray to Him on a daily basis.

We are to pray not only in set times such as worship, devotional time, bed time, but we are to keep our mind on God throughout the day.

"Thou wilt keep Him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed upon thee: because He trusteth in thee." Isaiah 26:3

It is not quanity, or quality, or even much speaking, but what comes from the heart.

"Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life." Proverbs 4:23

Lord teach us to pray!

We have so much to learn!

Jeremiah tells us to call upon His name, and He promises to show us greater things that we have known before.

"Call unto Me, And I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not." Jeremiah 33:3

We must come before Him with clean hands and a pure heart.

"He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lift up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation." Psalm 24:4-5

We must forgive others so we can pray right.

"And when we stand praying, forgive if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses." Mark 11:25

This includes husband and wife relationships.

"Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to the knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered." I peter 3:7

God's eyes are upon the righteous and His ears are open to His prayers!

We must realize that every time we pray we are not going to have that mountain top experience.

We just have to want to have more of Him.

We all have our emotional highs and lows.

Sometimes we are more sensitive than others.

We pray to have that closer, that intimate walk with the Lord Himself.

We pray as an expression of unbroken fellowship between Our Lord and us.

With prayer we will be able to move through those hard places that come along in our life.

We will feel disappointment when it comes, but we shall recover more quickly.

When we pray we shall become more sensitive to other people's needs.

We will be able to listen and hear God speaking to us through our quiet time with Him.

When we pray we shall learn a deeper level of discipline!

"Because he hath set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set Him on high, because he hath known My name." Psalm 91:14

Are you living in chaos?

"Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ." Philippians 1:6

Do you feel as if you life thrives on chaos?

Do you feel as if you can barely keep your head above water?

Do you feel as if things are spinning out of control?

do you feel as if you don't have a grip on the situation.

Do you feel as if you are not making any spiritual headway/ progress?

Do you have so many projects that are just not yet completed, but they are started?

Ya know that God will never start a project and not finish it!

"And ye are complete in Him, which is the head of all principality and power." Colossians 2;10

We become complete in Him when Jesus is Lord and savior of our life.

There then will be no reason to live in chaos.

There will be stress, difficulties, hardships and disappointments along the way.

We are human and in this world that we live in everyone has some sort of problem.

When we have Jesus in our life we can be confident that things are not going to spin out of control.

We know that Our Father is in complete control.

We must give Him all of our life issues and not pick them back up again.

That is the key, not picking them back up again.

Let Him have absolute control of your circumstances.

Sometimes God, puts us in difficult times to get our attention.

If He has you in that difficult place, He will work things out for His good.

If He has you in a difficult place, maybe, He is trying to get your attention!

Before He can work through us, He has to work in us.

Sometimes the only way to get our attention is difficult situations.

God will continue to work on our character if we let Him.

"And call upon Me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify Me." Psalm 50:15

Does your flesh die daily?

"But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not in us. We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down not destroyed; always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. For we which live are always delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh. So then death worketh in us, but life in You.(Jesus)" 2 Corinthians 4;7-12

Are you always complaining that you get no recognition?

Do you think that people misunderstand you?

Are you one who is in a situation where that you think that your faith in Christ is misunderstood?

Well guess what, Jesus was misunderstood in His earthly ministry!

If you really want to die out to self daily you have to have the willingness to do so.

It will not just happen, it takes effort.

We must have a humble and submissive spirit.

God gave us a perishable container, our flesh, but inside He put an invaluable gift.

We have God's power dwelling in us!

He gives us the power to spread His good news.

He gives us power to do His work.

If it's His will it's His bill.

Knowing that His power is in us, and that it is not of ourselves, that alone should keep us humble.

Knowing that His power is inside of us should motivate us to keep in daily contact with the Father.

Even when we are at the end of our rope, there is hope!

Jesus died once and for all for us.

The cross is a culmination of an entire lifetime of Jesus dying out to self.

Jesus was willing to be misunderstood, and beaten, to gives up His comforts to take on the role of a servant.

We must be willing to die in the same way.

We must be that servant of the Most High.

When we die out to Him, He gives us His gift of life.

We will have that beauty grow in us.

It is like the old saying: "A picture is worth a thousand words."

The picture that you draw everyday will speak for itself.

You never know who is watching you.

You never know who may see that special light coming from you and want that same light.

When we die out to self each and every day then that light that comes forth can help bring another to that life that comes flowing from you.

If we are to live daily for Christ it will require dying out to self daily.

God has never abandoned us, so why do we not daily die out to Him?

With Jesus death on the cross we have that eternal life.

We are free to demonstrate His power and His presence in us!

All of our risks are for not.

"For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain." Philippians 1;21

Do you let God direct your path?

"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths." Proverbs 3:5-6

We as Christians live in a world that has gone sour.

We do not have to listen to that fallen mentality, attitude.

We need to listen to that small still voice of God that will guide and direct us!

As we place our trust in God, we lay down our right to determine our destiny for our life.

Our destiny was already set in motion before we born.

Why do we resist His intervention?

When we brush aside or resist Him, we will consequences.

We must make a choice to seek God's guidance or we need to just go on our way.

Why would anyone want to settle for second best when we can have the very best?

Why is it so hard to submit everything to His eternal care?

Do you have a war that rages inside of us when we go to submit?

Do you have feelings of jealousy, anger, unforgiveness, pride?

Your flesh is at war with God's principles and standards.

God's standards has everything to do with keeping you from becoming all He desires.

The principles of God are timeless and we will never outgrow the need for them.

We must not overlook His will for us thinking that He is not interested in us.

Do not let your life or your mind get too full of things that God can not have entry into them.

Does God have your attention, or is your attention drawn away by other things?

We are to live a Godly life, think God thoughts, and become that person that God has called us to be in Him.

God will meet you right where you are!

Ask God to open your eyes to see, your heart to receive, and your ears to hear and know His perfect will for your life.

Trust in Him and lean not on your own understanding!

"Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass." Psalm 37:5
