Are you being transformed?

"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord." II Corinthians 3:18

What mighty works has God done for you this year?

Is there something that just stand out in your mind?

Have you let Him into your life this year?

Has that light that comes from Him been able to shine through you?

Have you a close relationship with Him this year?

Have you listened to the Word of God?

Did you follow through?

Did you know that having an intimate relationship with God is more than just having knowledge?

Knowledge is ok, but we are not to stop there.

It is when we have more than just that knowledge of Him, as we have that personal relationship with Him that we go from glory to glory.

Our personal relationship has become a revelation of His love.

As we listen to the Holy Spirit and follow His instructions we are changed.

When we say that we know His vast love, we must have first listened to the Holy Spirit for this can only come from Him.

Revelation will come from the heart to the head, and not from the head to the heart!

Revelation comes from the Holy Spirit.

We can only get revelation when we are having that intimate relationship with Him.

Revelation comes from being in His presence.

In His presence we learn to overcome, for we are overcomers!

In His presence there is fullness of Joy!

In His presence our faith will become stronger.

In His presence we will break through those barriers that have held us back.

In His presence there is no condemnation.

In His presence we will grow in every area of our life to a higher level of spirituality.

In His presence we are strengthening our faith.

Everything that we get from God takes faith!

So if you are a truly devoted Christian this next year purpose in your heart to have that close personal relationship with Him.

Let's give something back to our Creator!

Start by giving Him your time.

Start by reading and studying God's Word.

Spend time in prayer and fellowship with Him.

Don't always have an agenda, let God talk to you, as you quietly wait upon Him.

When you do these things on a regular basis your spirit man will get feed, and will start to crave more.

Let the Word of God change you from day to day, week to week, month to month.

Let the Word of God change you from glory to glory!

"In the beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself." [Isaiah 9:6] John 1:1 Amplified Bible

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." John 1:1 King James Version

What's in your mouth?

"I will bless the Lord at all times: His praise shall continually be in my mouth." Psalm 34:1

Do you know what kind of privilege that God gave us?

He gave us the special privilege of praising Him!

To most people that does not sound like an awesome privilege, but it is.

Just think that is what we will be doing for all eternity in heaven.

Sounds great to me.

So why not learn to praise Him down here, and get the hang of it now?

Are you able to voice your praise?

Are you able to give Him adoration?

Are you able to voice your worship towards the Creator?

Do you take these privileges lightly?

Do you take up this privilege and run with it?

Do you reflect the beauty and glory of your Creator?

Do you let that light that comes from Him be your mirror?

So, does this privilege reflect the beauty and light of God?

When we praise someone or something we are extolling or magnifying the virtues or commendable quality or trait of whom or what we are giving our praise too.

True praise can only come from that close relationship with Him!

Praise comes when we tell others about God's goodness.

When we give God adoration, we are giving Him the highest respect and love, we are adoring Him.

When we give God adoration we are worshipping Him with all that we have within us!

We are essentially saying that we adore and revere God!

When we worship God we are paying homage or that we have the highest regard or respect.

When we praise and worship with our mouth we are giving Him thanks for Who He is!

We don't have the choice whether or not to worship.

The choice comes as to choose whom to worship.

Will it be God?

Will it be someone or something else?

"Then saith Jesus unto Him, get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and Him only shalt thou serve." Matthew 4:10

Who will you choose?

Will you worship idols?

An idol is anything that is put in front of God.

Will it be God?

With this new year approaching fast, you can start over, and choose the right one.

The more that we worship that certain someone or something the more that we become liker that someone or something.

We are to become more like God.

We are to reflect that light that only comes from Him.

"And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into His likeness with ever increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit." II Corinthians 3:18 NIV

A Frog's Story....

I heard this story and thought that I would pass it on. I am not sure who the credit belongs too, but it is not mine.

So, to the original storyteller... Thank You!!!

There was a frog who had a very real problem.

As most of us do today.

His problem is much like some of ours.

The frog's problem was that his froggy pond was drying up.

He had to find water soon, because if he did not, he too would dry up.

Just like us when we don't stay in that place with Him.

He had heard of news of a beautiful stream just over the next hill.

How was he supposed to get there?

His legs were not made for the long journey.

Even if he tried to hop that far, he might dry up before he arrived.

So the little frog, he sat and sat, wondering how to get over the hill.

He had to come up with an idea of how to get over the hill faster.

After a little while, he had it.

He had found the perfect plan.

Now all he had to do was to convince the birds to help.

He did.

He had convinced the birds to carry a stick.

In the middle of the stick he would hang.

What a way to travel.

It would get little froggy to his new watering hole quickly.

After the birds had the stick, little froggy bit on the stick and held on as tightly as he could.

What a wild sight that must have been.

Two birds, a stick, and a frog up in the sky.

Crazy huh?

The birds had to fly over a pasture of cows to get to the stream.

As the birds were flying their passenger over the field, the cows were impressed.

One of the cows, who just happened to be thinking out loud, had asked.."Wonder who came up with that idea?"

The little frog, upon hearing the cows question, could not resist answering.

As he did, he lost his grip on the stick.

Well, you know the rest.

This little frog had some problems didn't he?

His pond was going dry.

He told himself he was not made for such a long journey.

He was able to convince some birds to help.

But in the end he made a big mistake.

Do you know what it was?

He let pride get in the way.

"Pride goeth before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall." Proverbs 16:18

Isn't it so true that when we let pride get in the way we fall?

Pride will keep our wells dry.

You see, we are to have that living water in us and flowing through us.

"But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life." John 4:14

When we have that living water, which lives in us and through us, then the Word comes to us.

It is when we forget who we are in Him that brings our downfall.

Even though the frog's pond was drying up, there was still water.

If only he had believed the Word.

It is when he took his eyes of the prize that he fell.

Point is, we can make it even if our circumstances look bad.

Our success does not depend upon us.

Success and promotion comes from God!

We must give God the glory in every area of our life.

When we live a Godly life, we are bound to be successful.

God will let you excel in your life so that you will give Him the glory.

He wants you to let everyone know who He is in your life's journey.

Don't let your success go to your head as little froggy did!

Remember, he fell because of pride.

We must hide ourself in Him!

We must learn to be humble before Him!

We must learn not to advertise our success, but let God exalt us.

"Both riches and honour come from Thee, and Thou reignest over all; and in Thine hand is power and might; and in Thine hand it is to make great, and give strength unto all. Now therefore, our God, we thank Thee, and praise Thy glorious name." I Chronicles 29:13-14

What kind of message are you sending?

"He must increase, but I must decrease." John 3:30

What kind of message do you send?

Does everyone always have to know of your good work?

Have you let success in and pushed God out?

Do you have a hard time staying focused on God?

Ya know that for a Christian there is nothing more important than how we let our light shine for Him!

What kind of message are you sending about Him?

Do you live like the devil all week and then try to be holier than thou on Sunday?

We can not live like that.

We have a duty to fulfill!

"Both to Greeks and to barbarians (to cultured and to the uncultured), both to the wise and the foolish, I have an obligation to discharge and a duty to perform and a debt to pay." Romans 1:14 Amplified Bible

Paul here is talking about those who are Greeks and those who are not (barbarians), he also refers to those who are educated and those who are not.

So what was Paul's obligation?

Paul's obligations is to spread the good news of salvation.

Is it any different from ours?

We are to cross all those barriers of social, economic and racial barriers that have been set before us.

Christians and non Christians alike need to be reminded that God is the only source of our salvation.

Though our salvation we find security, peace, hope, love, joy, everything that we need we find in the Father!

So you see that we have something that the nonbeliever needs to hear.

We have something of great price that has been entrusted to us!

We have a divine message to send out.

What message?

The Message of Jesus!

Our image is supposed to mirror Him!

We can not be in His image if we are letting things get in the way.

When we let things get in the way, then we let go of God.

Once we have let go of God then we are setting ourselves to let the enemy in.

Who is our enemy?

Some like to say it is satan.

Most of the time it is called self!

Self is our main enemy!

It is not about us, but the One whom saved us!

He is the One who sends the message, we are to reflect His image.

We are in His hands, we do that which we have seen, therefore mirror it.

You see it is not what others think of you.

It is what God sees in you!

He wants us to be seen, but not through the spot light so to say.

God uses us to get His message through.

He can only do this, when we have totally yielded to Him.

When God has your heart, your head will soon follow!

We are called to be His ambassadors for him.

Do the people you don't know do they see something different in you that they just can't quite explain?

Do you have that light reflecting out?

Does Christ shine in and through you?

Let us not forget our role, let us reflect the One whom is Worthy!

"But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto Me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth." Acts 1:8

Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;

But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the Word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth, commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.
But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
For we preach not of ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.
For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the Excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us." II Corinthians 4:1-7

Do you thirst for more of God?

"As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after Thee, O God. My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God; when shall I come and appear before God?" Psalm 42:1-2

Do you long for more of God?

Do you feel as if you are never satisfied?

This longing is from above.

It is a fundamental need of our soul to long for more.

This is a longing that comes from our soul to have that special someone to talk to, have someone to listen to us, to have someone to care.

This longing also entails wanting to have someone to love you, someone who will not walk away from you and your circumstances no matter what, but will help guide you through.

When we want more or thirst after God we are telling Him that we are in need of Him!

Jesus gave us a promise that we will be filled when we are thirsty for Him.

"Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled." Matthew 5:6

When you really thirst after God, there is no one else that can fill that thirst in your soul!

There is only One person that can satisfy those dark, deepest longings.

His name is Jesus!

Without Him we are as a fish out of water.

A fish out of water can not survive for too long without water.

Jesus is that water to our bodies!

Jesus is an absolute necessity!

So if you are thirsty won't you come to Him today?

He will fill you up!

"But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him he shall never thirst; but the water that I give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life." John 4;14

Do you have room for Him?

"And she gave birth to her Son, her Firstborn; and she wrapped Him in swaddling clothes and laid Him in am manger, because there was no room or place for them in the Inn." Luke 2:17 Amplified Bible

I just have one question today....

Is there room in your heart for Him?

Monday, December 18, 2006

So you think that it is about you?

"But we all with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord." II Corinthians 3:18

So you think it's all about you?

One day our life will be over.

How will stand as you are judged by the Almighty?

Will you be remembered for your good or for being evil?

Will you be remembered for being smart?

Will you be remembered for how successful you were?

Will you be remembered how pretty or how ugly you thought you were?

Do you think being rich or poor will matter, or even if you were healthy or sick?

The answer is No!

The only that will matter on that day when we stand before the Almighty One is....

Did you glorify Him?

Did you live your life in such a way that truly demonstrated who He really is?

Did you tell others about Him?

Did you finish that walk that He gave to you?

Did you do as He called you to do?

Were you who you were to be in Him?

Was He alone your God?

These are just some of the questions that He will go over with you.

You can start by answering these questions.

How do you fare?

Why wait till it is over?

You don't have too wait!

It's not to late.

Ask Him to help change you.

Ask Him to come into your heart and abide there.

We as Christians are to show the love of God.

We are to reflect His light!

When we reflect His light, our whole life becomes unveiled before man.

You see, when the Holy Spirit is living on the inside we can not help but mirror the image of God's own character.

One of my favorite analogies is that of the sun and the moon.

What does the sun and moon have to do with our Christian walk?

It has everything to do with our Christian walk!

The sun and moon are very good models.

Watch now.

The sun who is the grater light shines in the day.

The moon which is the lesser light shines at night.

When the moon is apart from the sun it is only a pitch black rock.

When the moon gets the light from the sun, it reflects a soft light from it.

So in the absence of the sun there is that soft glow, not darkness any more.

We are called to shine that light as the moon does.

We are called to be a light for Him.

"But the path of the just is as a shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day. The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble." Proverbs 4:18-19

"Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid." Matthew 5:14

The greater light shines during the day, while the lesser moon shines at night.

The sun, which is the Son.

The moon, which is us (the church).

The moon is called to reflect the sun.

We are to reflect the light from the Son.

It is when we are in our proper place, the place where God has called us to be then we will have that soft glow, that light that reflects the Son.

We will be reflecting His light!

He is the source!

When we get big headed, think we have done something and don't give Him the credit or we start thinking that the world revolves around us then we start losing our potential.

We will lose that light.

We will be out of relationship with Him.

We will not be in the presence of the Son, and bad things will start to happen.

Remember darkness comes when there is no light.

Which would you rather be in dark or light?

We are to reflect His light in the absence of the Son.

We are to keep our concentration upon Him!

We are to keep Him first in all we do!

We are to reflect his light.

How can we reflect His light if we have our priorities upon self?

We are to live according to His will and His ways!

When you become a Christian people will step back and watch every little thing that comes your way and how you react to it.

That means even when you think that no one is looking.

Even when no one is there God sees everything!

We must learn to demonstrate who He truly is, whether or not someone is there or not.

You never know who could be watching your life and how it will effect theirs.

Let us learn to walk according to His will, His ways and under his direction.

Nothing else matters!

We are to glorify Him.

He is the only One to whom we are accountable too.

He is the only One who matters!

So let your light shine today, tomorrow and each and every day.

Let us stay in tune with God in our Christian walk.

"For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: Thou art God alone. Teach me Thy way, O Lord; I will walk in Thy truth: unite my heart to fear Thy name. I will praise Thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify Thy name for evermore. For great is Thy mercy toward me: and Thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell." Psalm 86:10-13

Saturday, December 16, 2006

His grace is more than enough.

"For thou Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favor wilt thou compass him with a shield." Psalm 5:12

Did you know that you have favor with God?

did you know that you are one of His favorites?

If you are a born again believer then, He is talking to you!

When you were born again you were made righteous by His blood, the blood of Jesus!

It means that God's favor is constantly available to you!

We are supernaturally wrapped up in His favor from the top of our head to the bottom of our feet.

Favor simple means that we are the apple of His eye, that He cares or has concern for us.

"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13

"So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." Romans 10:17

We must have faith to believe.

It is through God's grace that we are saved.

Grace is another word for salvation.

In the Greek salvation means to be delivered, to be preserved, healed, to be made sound, to be made whole.

God's grace is something that is given.

God's grace is a gift!

God's grace is free!

So why is it that we think that we must use our own skill to help pull us through life?

All of us at one point or another in our life have leaned upon our own strength and understanding, rather than to rely upon His grace.

He gives us more than enough grace for the race.

We must tap into our faith, release it and believe.

Did you know that it took God's grace to save us?

"For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:" Ephesians 2:8

Grace is a gift from God!

There is nothing that we can do one our own!

We can never out grow God!

We will always need to look to our heavenly Father for His direction.

We will need to look to our heavenly Father for His help.

We will need to look to our heavenly Father for His support.

We will need to look to our heavenly Father for His wisdom.

It will not be a have to, it will be a want too!

It is by His grace that we do the things that God has called us to do!

It is through His covenant with us, that by Him living in us and through us, His grace will help us grow.

"But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To Him be glory both now and forever. Amen" II Peter 3:18

If you want to start enjoying God's grace, His unmerited favor, then start releasing your faith!

Learn to listen for Him cause if you don't you are most likely not going to hear what He has to say to you.

Spend time in His Word.

Spend time talking to Him.

Let the Holy Spirit which resides in you teach and guide you so that you can grow and become strong in His grace.

"Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus." II Timothy 2:1

Then take a step back and watch in awe what God will do in your life.

It will amaze you!

Thursday, December 14, 2006

God of all grace.

"For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is a gift of God:" Ephesians 2:8

Did you know that failure and forgiveness sometimes walk hand in hand?

When you think that you have failed do you think or even wonder if things will be the same between you and God?

Do you have thoughts like....

Can I pick up the pieces and start again?
Can God still use me even though I have messed up?
What might happen if only I?
Do you want to run, but have no where to run too?
Is the despair in your life covering you up with helplessness?

"And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me." II Corinthians 12:9

His grace here He is talking about His empowering presence.

It does not matter what kind of trouble that you find yourself in, God's grace is sufficient for thee!

His grace will be strong enough to get you out of that circumstance that you are in.

It is when we tap into our faith that His grace becomes stronger.

We must begin to release our faith.

It is when we get into God's Word then we start building up our faith.

We must take to heart His Word, and speak it in faith!

We must believe it and act on it!

Grace is unmerited favor that was bestowed upon us at the moment of our salvation.

"But by the grace of God I am what I am: and His grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God, which was with me." I Corinthians 15:10

His grace is a gift for every child of God.

His grace is.....

His grace is sufficient for all your sins!

His grace is sufficient for all your failures!

His grace is sufficient for all your inadequacies!

His grace is sufficient to wash away any and all defeated areas of your life!

There is no situation, no circumstance, no disaster, there is nothing that the devil has ever done or will ever do that is stronger that the grace of God!

It is when we totally yield to Him, and allow Him to be Lord of our life that He will carry us through everything that is required of us!

It is through the grace of God that we are taught.

It is through His grace that we become stronger!

Each time we are corrected, He is pointing out that certain something that is grieving Him.

It is all a process in which we learn.

We are not to get mad.

We should be glad that He loves us enough to correct us.

We should live each day expecting Him to counsel and instruct us!

Remember that when those circumstances come up against you, and you don't see any way out, don't despair.

God is always there!

God always seems to excel in those circumstances.

He will not leave you stranded.

He will not only pull you through but He will bring you out on top.

Father, let us come to that point where we will let you teach us and guide us through each circumstance that comes our way that we may become strong in the grace of God.

"Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus." II Timothy 2:1

Unlimited Forgiveness

"To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we rebelled against Him;" Daniel 9:9

Have you been hurtful to someone else?

Have you been hurt by someone else?

What are you going to do with that hurt?

every time you see that person do you still feel angry and resentful towards them?

Do you have a plan for revenge?

Do you ever sit and think about how you are going to make that person pay?

You have to give an answer for these before you can truly have that intimate relationship with the Father.

With God we will know how to respond.

"Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you." Ephesians 4:31-32

As God in Christ forgave us so we are to forgive those who have hurt us.

When we don't forgive our relationship will not survive no matter with whom it is with, friends, family, co workers, or even with God!

We must make the decision to forgive, even the little hurts.

We must let go of every hindrance of every kind of unforgiveness.

Has He forgiven you?

We must then forgive.

It it difficult for us?

Should it be?

We must come to that point in our walk with Him that we just hand it over to God.

We need to stop whining and having our pitty parties.

Jesus has not commanded us to do something that He has not already done.

Jesus made forgiveness a command.

Peter asked, "How many times shall I forgive?" Matthew 18:21

Jesus responded seventy times seven.

He was not talking in mathematical figures, He was referring to unlimited forgiveness!

When we forgive we are to forget.

We have that power within us to obey His commands and to forgive no matter what the circumstances, how wrongly we were hurt or hurt someone else.

The reason that we do not forgive is that we are bound by fear.

We don't want to forgive because we are afraid of being hurt again.

We are afraid of not being able to bounce back after all the damage.

We all at some point in our life have went out of our way to avoid that someone, or treat them with less warmth and love because they have hurt us in some way.

In God's eyes everything less than love is sin.

We are not to let our light fall short of the love of God because of our attitude.

Many of us are walking in unforgiveness and are in darkness.

"This then is the message which we have heard of Him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as He is the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin." ! John 1:5-7

A man who does not forgive hates his brother.

If you are outside of God's light even by one step then it is hate.

We must make the decision each day to forgive, even those little hurts.

Our forgiveness does not have anything to do with what they did or did not do to us, or what we did or did not do to them.

We are to forgive because He has forgiven us even in the midst of our sin.

When we don't forgive we are saying that His blood was not enough.

We are essentially going out from under His protective covering.

We are stepping into the darkness where the devil can take all sorts of shots.

We need to forgive and keep walking in the light.

When we forgive it is most powerful.

When we walk in forgiveness then we are walking in victory.

"And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of kings of the earth. Unto Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in His own blood, " Revelation 1:5

Is your walk hidden in Him?

There is only one relationship that matters and that is your personal relationship to a personal redeemer and Lord. Let everything else go, but maintain that at all costs, and God will fulfill His purpose through your life. Oswald Chambers

The process of changing one’s nature is taking our self nature to divine nature, this is a slow and bitter process.

Daily dying out to self, being hungry for a deeper meaningful relationship will come out of the process of change.

He wants to give us a mind that is focused on Christ so that we may glorify Him in all we say and do.

We must humble ourselves and let the Holy Spirit be our teacher.

The Holy Spirit must live in and through us just as if the Savior was living there.

When we are in harmony we are keeping His commandments, spending time in His word, waiting on God, and abiding in Him, which will help keep us remaining attached to our precious Lord.

Before the Holy Spirit can come to live in us, we must first grant Him permission so that He can take full possession.

Our hearts will be searched for those unworthy motives or actions that need to be cleansed, before we can give obedience to our heavenly Father.

By giving our obedience the Holy Spirit comes to live in us, so that He can then abide in us forever.

It is His grace that gives us repentance so we can have His will and not ours, this lets the divine owner take complete charge.

"Though he were a Son, yet learned He obedience by the things which He suffered." Hebrews 5:8

Obedience is not forced, it is motivated by a heart full of love.

We can learn and grow strong in faith from obedience by resisting temptation and going through trials.

We all must go through trials, but with God there to help pull us through, we will make it.

The Lord will prove us to live our faith out above our circumstances day by day, our triumph will be emerging faith.

We have that choice whether or not to obey or disobey.

When we choose to yield to Him in what He has asked us to do then we are not alone in our obedience to Him!

The best trial for eternity is the trial that we are going through, so the Father can chisel and mold us as He wants us.

We have got to dig our heels in and say here am I Lord, do what you need too.

A thousand may fall at my side
And ten thousand at my right hand,
Above me His wings are spread wide
Beneath them in safety I stand!

We have got to find refuge in Him! Spend time shut in with God in prayer.

When we begin we need to bring Him praise, ask for a fresh infilling of His power, wisdom, peace and joy.

Never go to prayer with a give me list, but ask the Holy Spirit to quicken you, this is when our desires are totally saturated, and our will becomes completely surrendered to Him.

When He lives inside of us there is no limit to the extremes in which He will take us.

He will prepare us for a higher position, when we have made it through that trial, He will send another, just like stepping stones.

One of the greatest gifts that shows us we can make it through our trial is endurance.

What does it me to abide in Him?

With me it all begins at the feet of Jesus, having an open heart full of love, to obey His commandments - His word, drawing near to the heart of God, walking by that faith, as the Lord has chosen the way for us, and then trust Him with whatever lies ahead.

Spending quality uninterrupted quiet time in our special place.

When God speaks to me I listen intently for His response!

He will bring us into a deeper closer relationship with Him, so He can use us for His glory!

Graft us into vine O Lord!

Let Him graft you into the vine, so all the sap can run through the branches, as we are the branches.

Our life is in the vine, our power comes from the vinedresser, which is you O Lord!

When we abide in the vine, His power will operate through us to accomplish that which needs to be done.

"If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you" John 15:7

Go from abiding to letting Him pour out of you, allow Him to take complete possession of you!

Each of us need daily power, guidance, wisdom and a vision.

Each day is part of the journey, the choices we make today will determine whether or not we move toward Him, our self, and or the world.

We have to give up self and allow Him to be in complete control.

We can take all of our questions to the source of truth - God’s word!

He wants us to bring this quality into our lives.

It is not just by study alone that will open up the doors of heaven, along with the truths of God that comes from obedience.

People must see that we walk as Christ walked if we are to say we are abiding in Him.

God’s desire is that we be like His Son.

We have got to let Him take His ownership, His possession of us, let Him fill you with His wind - the wind of the Spirit.

The deeper we are the more power can work through us - the branch.

The true test is steadfastness, commitment, and loyalty to the end.

If there be no world in us, how can it influence us?

Can it influence a dead man?

Lord, send a fervent revival in me, let me be as a wise man who hears and acts upon what they have been told!

"Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and does it not, to him it is sin." James 4:17

Father I thirst for your presence, let me come into your secret place. The place close to your heart. You may have my undivided attention. I want to hear from the pure words of your heart, so that through them you can strengthen my Spirit. Fill my heart today and everyday as I have committed to love and follow after thee.

Where is your faith?

"So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." Romans 10:17

Do you ever talk yourself out of a relationship, because you think that person is just out of your boundary?

Do you ever have difficulty getting out of bed in the mornings?

Have you ever backed out of a job opportunity, because you thought that you couldn't do it?

How about trying something new?

Are you afraid to fail or to look stupid?

Do you have the will power to finish what you start no matter what the outcome?

If you can answer yes to these and many others like these, you may be filled with self doubt and negative thoughts.

We can change these thoughts of I can't into I can.

You will never know what you can do until you try.

Would you like to change those thoughts, and get rid of that stinking thinking?

If so, read on.
There are many, many people who are defeated by everyday problems that don't have to be.

We have let ourselves become defeated by problems, cares, difficulties, and tragedies of this world.

Should we allow them to dominate us?

Are we supposed to feel and act lifeless, hopeless, and half dead as Christians?

No one has to stay that way!

Ever think that you don't have a prayer?

You do have a prayer and it will carry you through!

Christ came to bring everyone a joyous, enthuastic life.

We can do nothing without Him!

"I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." John 10:10

We need to fill our brains with heavenly word from above.

You can rise above the obstacles which try to defeat you.

You can develop a faith in yourself, faith that is justified from above.

We have learned what we put into our brains, is what we will get back out; garbage in, garbage out.

We have to change those thoughts to good healthy thoughts, instead of negative, controlling thoughts.

They are those thoughts that we chosen to dwell in our minds, they are there by our own permission.

"We need to be renewed in the Spirit of our mind." Ephesians 4:23

"It is the Spirit that quickened; the flesh profited nothing; the words that I speak unto you, they are Spirit, and they are life." John 6:63

Having a terrible disbelief in one's self, no confidence, discouraged, depressed.

I have found a solution by trial and error on my part.

We can find all of our solutions to this problem and many others in the principles of faith brought forth in the Bible.

These principles can heal any negative feelings; those constant thoughts of insecurity, doubt, fear, discouragement, and inadequacy that have dominated our thoughts.

We need to fill our mind with overflowing faith, putting in confident thoughts, putting in God's word.

We can get rid of those negative thoughts, build confidence, self trust, and our faith by getting saturated with God's presence, and reading His word.

We need to build our lives around worshiping our Father, rather than making it another part of our busy schedule.

This will help develop a tremendous faith in God, and that will also give you a humble, yet sound faith in yourself.

"When a man gets to God, it is by the most simple way of words." Oswald Chambers

Here are ten little words that I thought would be helpful to get you started.

By saying these words aloud to yourself, you are putting in good things into your Spirit.

You can and will be able to cope with anything that comes your way.

You can have the ability to meet the adversity and failure and misfortune with a smile.

You don't have to lose your enthusiasm, but keeping faith and confidence.

You never know what you can do until you try.

I took this one little scripture and kept repeating it, as I have needed it often, and is so easy to remember.

It has built up my confidence, self esteem, self worth, and self trust.

I'm finding out that His word will carry me through anything and everything.

"I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me." Philippians 4:13

Another suggestion that has helped me is to make note cards with some scripture on it, such as...

"And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, if ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, remove hence to yonder place, and it shall move, and nothing shall be impossible unto you." Matthew 17:20 or "Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth." Mark 9:23- or "What shall we then say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?" Romans 8:31

There are many, many more scriptures, these are just a few to get you started.

Use these cards, memorize these sayings, take them to heart.

They will take those thoughts of negativity and change them to thoughts of faith and courage overtime.

We have to change what we fill our mind with, they need to be good affirmations.

With the support and help of God, He can and will change our thought process. We have got to have a continual attitude of dependence upon God.

"He went out, not knowing whither he went." Hebrews 11:8

Faith is not knowing where you are going, but knowing the One who is leading.

Faith is a life of walking it out, not getting weary, not fainting.

"For we walk by faith, not by sight." II Corinthians 8:7

"But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for He that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." Hebrews 11:6

We must build our faith on that light that never fails, not on our own circumstances.

Once we start trusting Him, watch at how quickly all your difficulties will vanish because we are standing in faith.

As we keep standing our faith will become natural, and our difficulties will become less, and our trusting will be natural and an unconscious action.

We need to stay in tune with God at all times.

He has to be our focus!

Our whole heart must belong to Him.

Everything that we do must be done with an attitude of love and obedience.

We have to act responsibly with what God has given us.Prayer is another great way for each of us, in helping with our daily circumstances.

It will help open up our mind to His will, to know what He wants for our life.

It is not enough to be emptied of negative thoughts, but we need to be filled with His Spirit, to accomplish the purpose He has for our life.

His purpose is to simplify our faith, to that of a child. God will sometimes allow you to be tried in a place, a place of testing, to see if you are willing to joyfully waive your right and let Him chose for you.

This will bring you to a continual dependence upon God.

Always remember that God will see you through anything, and everything, so stay close to Him!

Looking for what to say, how to overcome problems, reach goals, live a more stress free life, and want a solution that will work?

A must read book for anyone of all ages.

One can learn to solve problems, help conquer intimidating problems, accomplish goals that were never thought possible, and finding that long term inner peace.

All things are possible to those who believe.

Take your life and all it's problems and put them into God's hands.

If you really try you can!

Trust Him now for everything, and see if He will not do for you exceedingly abundantly, above all you could ever have asked or thought.

My heavenly Father,
Give me the strength to face each night
Let there be no sorrow in my smile
Let me count each passing moment
Give me hope for each tomorrow
Today is where I am
Let me be concerned about today
Let there be no sadness
But only let in, that joy, that comes in the morning!

Thank you Lord, for that gracious gift of forgiveness and peace of mind I receive each and everyday.

I will trust in Him!

How do you think?

"For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace." Romans 8:6

Do you want life changing peace of mind?

Does worry and anxiety have a grip on your life?

Are you at peace with others, how about yourself?

Is your trust in God?

Are you looking for a way, where there seems o be no way, and trying to make sense of it all?

You can have emotional stability, and gain confidence, as well as have a life long security and well being.

All this can be yours even in the midst of your storm.

Do you have wrong thoughts, who is in control of your thoughts?

Who is in control of your life?
"For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ." I Corinthians 2:16

Stop, think for a moment are you walking in victory?

Are you in control or is a situation that you are facing in control?

Do you have negative controlling thoughts that never come to an ending point?

All of these circumstances have a downfall, they are going to let you down in some form or fashion.

Daily life itself can change real fast this is why God needs to be full control of our life.

We have to think like God, to do so we need to stay in God's Word.

All truth resides in God ,God alone.

We are not allowed to let those carnal thoughts of negativity in, but to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.

We are to have thoughts that bring life, happiness, and victorious living.

All these thoughts can only come from the Holy Spirit, for the Lord, He is pure and good.

"For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting." Galatians 6:8

We must renew our mind, so our thinking will change along with our confession.

Renewing our mind is basically changing our mindset to His.

We need to let Him know that we are trusting Him by letting Him be in control of our life, thus showing that we belong to him.

When we renew our mind with God's word, He will give us clarity of thought, what we choose to think about, and the kind of thoughts we have.

Most of us are not what or who we think we are: our thinking has got to be changed to realize that with each difficulty we can not solve it on our own.

We have to have complete confidence that He is able to take care of any circumstance, any situation, any difficulty that has come our way.

He know where we are every second, every minute of everyday.

He is bigger than our biggest problem, difficulty, or circumstance in our life.

Nothing is too big for Him to handle.

"Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there anything to hard for me?" Jeremiah 32:27

What can you do when you have been poured into by all the negativity of life's events?

You can reprogram your mind through God's Word.

We all have the right to choose whether or not to let our circumstances, or problems over whelm us, or to put our trust in the Lord.

God will help us to keep our mind focused on something else other than our problems.

We must first make the effort, take that first step.

We can not conquer what we don't confront.

Don't get distracted by that bump in the road, that problem, that circumstance. Our mind is a war zone, it is unsafe to go in there alone. Pastor Steve Solomon

Call upon Him for clarity of thought on the inside of your mind, He makes an excellent doctor.

"And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good and acceptable, and perfect will of God." Romans 12:2

"And be renewed in the Spirit of your mind." Ephesians 4:23

When we start renewing our mind, our thinking will start to change along with our confession.

We must fill our minds with what is true, pure, righteous and praise worthy.

We need to meditate on the good things, which will keep our minds fully occupied by good ideas, concepts, or insights.

"Finally, brethern, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." Philippians 4:8

We need to think about our Lord, the King of Glory, and rely upon Him with faith and trust.

Meditation on the scriptures will help us with our thought process.

As we meditate or memorize scripture we are slowly renewing our mind to that of Christ.

When we memorize it, we commit it to memory, and or learn by heart, as we meditate we are thinking on it quietly.

We need both of these attributes to learn to let go our own desires, and to have His will in our thoughts.

These two together will help take captive all those negative thoughts or images.

We must refuse not to dwell upon negative thoughts, and instead think on the plans and purpose God has for your life.

We can not praise him enough when we start thinking about His goodness and greatness.

"Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ."
II Corinthians 10:5

"Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable." Psalm 145:3

Who is the only one who can cure your mind from the inside?

The thoughts that are not in agreement with God's Word, is the enemy trying to produce bad seed, we need to pay attention to our inner thoughts.

Such thoughts as I am in a bad mood today and don't know why or I am never going to amount to anything or I can't do this it's too hard.

If you believe statements like these you are believing a lie from the adversary. He wants you to think that you can't change, but we can.

"I can do all things which strengthen me." Philippians 4:13

We do not have to settle for anything less!

Never settle for less than that which God wants you to have. Our problems are on the inside, our thoughts, and our fears, along with our attitude.

What is on the inside will eventually come out.

"The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the Lord." Proverbs 16:1

If we choose not to let God control our life, then Satan will control our actions, and our lives.

Choose you this day whom ye shall serve, man cannot have two masters.

We have to acknowledge God by telling Him that we are interested in what He thinks.

We have got to meditate on God's will - His Word.

The more that we meditate, spend time in God's Word the more that He will flow through our life.

We need to release our self to God, it is by our struggles that we will grow, and gain confidence.

He will meet us right where we are in our walk of faith.

Our faith will grow as we learn to completely trust in Him.

My friend there is an answer for you!

Are you willing to take that first step of faith?

Are you willing to put your will down, to be obedient and take up His will?

You can have peace of mind in the midst of your storm.

One cannot have God's blessings and pursue the desires of their flesh.

We have to have that personal relationship with the Father.

We need to let Him lead us by His Spirit, cause with Him there is more to life.

Everything we are and have are came from Him first, why not give it all back.

He is always present in all those of everyday life.

He will take away those stresses of everyday life that we can't handle anymore.

All we simply have to do is ask Him to take all the negativity from our mind, and to restore to us the peace that belongs to us.

The peace of God will do a new thing in your life.

Trust Him, and everything that we undertake, and He will bring us through.

We have to fill our mind with good thoughts not negative ones.

When we apply good thoughts into our life, it will also help the inner man.

You can grow emotionally and physically with peace, joy and calmness knowing God.

Remember that our thoughts determine our outcome.

What are you waiting for?

Go ahead take that first step of faith today.

"This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: For the thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success." Joshua 1:8

Do you have your armor on?

"Finally, my brethern, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand." Ephesians 6:10 - 13

Do you feel miserable, frustrated or defeated in your life?

Do you try to serve God with your whole heart, and still don't know how to resolve your conflicts?

Do you know how to make choices to change you situation and to be set free?

Do you feel powerless in your battles?

Is your position in Christ secure?

Do you have that protection that is found in Him?

Even though we are new creations in Christ, we still battle the world, the flesh, and the devil.

This battle involves more than just self talk.

You have got to know what you are doing so that you do not loose this battle. Are you dressed for battle?

"The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light." Romans 13:12

When we are putting on the armor of God, we are putting on His armor of light.

When we put on Christ, we are taking ourselves out of the natural, which is where we are vulnerable to attack.

When we put on the armor properly, the enemy cannot touch us.

It is an act of our will that we allow God to give us His power by the putting on of His armor.

After we get suited up then we can hold our ground against the enemy.

We become immovable and unshakeable against the enemy.

We need to take off all the natural carnal man's armor and put on God's to fully appreciate our spiritual armor.

This means that we have to let go of our will, our thoughts and ideas and pick up God's will, God's Word, God's knowledge.

Every piece of God's armor is necessary, by not keeping His armor on we only get slowed down, and that will cause us to stumble in battle.

"Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil." Ephesians 6:11

We must wear the armor if we are to stand against the devil. When we don't put the armor of Christ, we are on the same level as our enemy.

"But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof." Romans 13:14

As the commander and chief of our army, He has provided everything that we need to stay victorious over the enemy.

You can't expect God to protect you if you don't take part.

We have one on the inside who is much greater than the one on the outside who wants to destroy you.

"Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world." I John 4:4

Great trials await us, we must stand strong in the power of His might.

We cannot let the wind blow us this way or that, do not let your guard down.

We have to continue to stand if we intend to keep what God has already given us.

God has given us the armor and the faith to stand fully clothed as we stand.

There are three pieces of the armor that we have received as we accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior.

They use the words having, which means that we already have them on.

The belt, breastplate, and our shoes are already on: having girded, having put on, having shod.

With these already on, we are half way dressed, but He calls us to put the whole armor on.

"Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness." Ephesians 6:14

When we put on the armor of God we must remember that it is His armor that we bear.

We must completely surrender of ourselves to put on His armor.

Each piece of the armor is part of the identity process of who we are in Christ.

Who is our truth, who is our righteousness?

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6

The belt of truth also guards our loins, out of which guards our seed.

Our loins produce those spiritual things that extend into eternity that have everlasting value and significance.

With our loins girded with truth, we are in His innermost being.

Facing the truth, and getting rid of those lies is our first step in our walk.

The only way to overcome the lies of the enemy is not by the efforts put forth as human thought, but by that which is set forth in God's Word.

"Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth." John 17:17

We must speak God's truth over ourselves, and only participate in activities that are in line with the truth of God - His Word.

In the Greek, the word truth just does not refer to God's written Word, but of an honest heart and purity of motive.

The belt of truth holds other pieces of our armor, including the breastplate that is attached, along with the sword that hangs from it.

With all that tension around our middle, it is here as an attitude check, to keep our focus, do not compromise your position!

Stay planted on the Rock of our salvation, that way each piece of the armor can be securely fastened to each other.

"He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he." Deuteronomy 32:4

Basically you can't have one without the other, as each piece of he armor all work together.

The breastplate that we wear it covers everything from our shoulders to our loins.

The main purpose of the breastplate is to protect our heart. Are we keeping our hearts pure and open before God?

Righteous is that which is upright before God.

"The righteous shall be glad in the Lord, and shall trust in him: and all thy upright in heart shall glory." Psalm 64:10

Being in right standing before God, to be righteous, we must look at our motives, our behavior, and get rid of that which is not right.

"They search out iniquities: they accomplish a diligent search: both the inward thought of every one of them, and the heart, is deep." Psalm 64:6

"Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ:" II Corinthians 10:5

"Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established." Proverbs 16:3

We become righteous at the moment that we believe in Jesus and are saved.

We are made righteous through Jesus, not covered with righteous.

The word made in the Greek is katastabeesontai which means a permanent condition of being.

God made the absolute, eternal blood sacrifice so that through Him we were made righteous.

We still have to put on that on that breastplate of righteousness so that God can manifest in our lives.

We have to get rid of our sinful human nature and make our flesh line up with the Word of God.

We have to get rid of our unrighteousness, it as filthy rags before God, whereas our motives, our thoughts and our behavior must be in continual agreement with God.

Our victory is won daily!

We must protect our heart and life with the breastplate of righteousness.

With a purified heart it will beat after righteousness that only comes through God.

"Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God." Philippians 1:11

"And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace." Ephesians 6:15

"Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into His grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in the hope of glory of God." Romans 5:1,2

After we receive Christ, we have the Prince of Peace at our side.

We must have that peace ruling in our heart.

That can only happen when we get in God's Word, and let it sink in, into our hearts.

"And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord." Colossians 3:15,16

The roman soldier had these strong sandal type shoes, which had studded nails that pierced the ground and provided excellent stability as they walked.

The word preparation means to be established or a firm foundation.

"Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste." Isaiah 28:16

Our sure foundation is found in the gospel of peace.

This is referring to the quality or benefits that the gospel offers, such as it strengthens, it settles, and will stabilize a believer.

The word shod is to simply cover up, over feet. Our feet should never touch the ground bare.

We are not to go anywhere without that firm foundation of the gospel without walking in peace.

Peacemakers bring people together, and encourage fellowship.

If we are true believers of Christ that should be enough to bring us all together in peace.

The peace of God will keep us standing firm.

"Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all." II Thessalonians 3:16

"Above all taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the enemy." Ephesians 6:16

The shield of faith is in which we trust in god and His word.

The more knowledge that you have in His word, and know about Him the more faith that you will have.

God will give us more strength the more we endure.

Nothing can grow spiritually without a struggle.

The more that you know the bigger the shield, the less you know the smaller the shield.

"So then faith cometh by hearing, and by hearing the word of God." Romans 10:17

Your knowledge of God, and His word must increase if you want your faith to increase.

Those fiery darts that the enemy sends our way to bombard us, we need to put out the fiery darts with the truth -the Word of God.

Each piece of the armor is very valuable.

The shield of faith is used as a covering or protection of all the other pieces of armor.

We are talking about the protection of the mind, our faith needs to be so strong that it is unshakeable in what God says.

We are to be in complete alignment of what God says in His Word.

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13

"And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God." Ephesians 6:17

The helmet of salvation covers the most important part- your mind.

The place where all the spiritual battles are won or lost.

As we struggle on a daily basis with our flesh, the world, and the enemy we have to stand firm.

Our salvation is not based by our good works.

It is by the works of Christ.

We always doubt our salvation when we are under attack.

The helmet of salvation means that we are to dwell on our salvation.

The devil cannot penetrate a mind that is focused on one's salvation.

We have to be assured of our salvation.

"The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:" Romans 8:16

We belong to Him, if we are saved.

We are His child and we are going to live forever with Him.

Salvation is the greatest gift that anyone could ever think of receiving.

The sword of the Spirit is the word of God.

This is the rhema word, because it is more appropriate to the use of preaching and others listening.

We have to speak out God's word, His truth.

Satan doesn't always know what we are thinking contrary to popular belief. God is the only one whom you can go to with the thoughts of your mind and he knows what you are thinking.

"For the word of God is quick and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." Hebrews 4:12

"For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:10

God's word should dwell in your heart, and be an automatic response to life's daily challenges.

The word has to be hidden deep within our heart and mind, so it will be ready to speak in time of trouble.

If we can't speak out loud God's Word how are we going to be able to stand?

Once you have put on God's armor, then you will be able to take over the promised land.

Our hearts should be continuously submitted to His Word and His Spirit, and all our actions will always carry out His will.

We have to choose to obey those in authority over us and trust in Him, then our faith will grow.

We must obey those in authority over us, and do as they teach us.

When we learn these principles and concepts, the principle of authority and submission, we then can apply God's principles to any situation.

Do you speak foolishly?

“ Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.” - Psalm 19:14

Do you speak foolishly?

Are you quick to talk before you think?

Do you edify others or do you tear them down by your words?

Do you make careless comments?

Do you think before you speak?

Do you have to be speaking all the time?

Do you think your words are more important than then the one whom you are talking to?

Do you interrupt others to get your point across?

Are you always talking about your troubles?

Do you gossip?

Are you offensive to other people and don’t know why?

Do you murmur and complain about all things?

The Bible teaches us to be aware of idle talk.

“He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction.” Proverbs 13:3

We are to speak words that are full of life, that build up and encourage, not those that tear down and destroy.

We often use hurtful words that are very damaging, not meaning too.

Our words whether positive or negative, have power to uplift or destroy.

We should be more careful how we use words, so He will be comfortable living in us.

Do you want to keep Him permanently dwelling in you?

Our words are the main way that we communicate to each other.

They can be used to hurt, heal, to harm, or help.

Our words must be used with great care.

Words can cause a lot of problems.

The impact of our words can hurt, especially when we blurt out words without first thinking, just wanting to have something to chat about.

They are not easily erased from one’s mind if they are downright harmful.

“ The words of a man’s mouth are deep waters, but the fountain of wisdom is a bubbling brook.” -Proverbs 18:4

He will give us words of deep waters, and diverse wisdom.

How are our words like deep waters?

What we might understand the meaning to be, might not always be what that person is actually thinking or feeling.

Wisdom will bubble up out of a person with a wise heart, revealing the truth and refreshing all who listen.

“He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.” John 7:38

This river is available to all who hear, and believe.

A wise person knows that not all people are always as they seem.

Ya know, the one’s who appear to be what they are not.

Our words can be that of fools when we chose to gossip, lie, nag, or use harsh careless shallow words.

We should shun these types of words, the impact of our words can be harmful. Speaking foolish words can become a bad habit if we let it, but it does not have too.

Stop those destructive words before they escape your mouth.

When someone tells you a dirty joke, has unkind words about someone, or just wants to gossip, just walk away.

We can break those bad habits with good ones!

What are you waiting for?

Let’s start speaking uplifting, edifying words that will speak life and not death.

We will feel better about ourselves, increase our peace, and our joy when we say healthy things.

We are here to help one another, not destroy one another.

“Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordered his conversation aright will shew the salvation of God.” Psalm 50:23

The Lord wants us to ask Him to forgive us our sins.

God is gracious and loving and wants to restore us.

Confessing our sins will not bring back those negative, foolish words already spoken.

We have to guard our heart, cause out of the heart the mouth speaks.

"For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he….” Proverbs 23:7

We don’t do anything without first thinking about it, everything we choose to think or believe.

We cannot allow wrong, evil thoughts to dwell in our heart.

If your thoughts are all negative, so will the comments of your mouth be.

Whatever we have hidden in our heart, it will eventually be openly exposed by our mouth. We will have to use caution, and care in keeping our heart full of God’s truth - His Word!

We need to spend more time in God’s Word. The more we spend in His Word, the more good fruit our lives will produce.

“Take words with you, and return to the Lord; say to Him, take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously, that we may present the fruit of our lips.” Hosea 14:2 NAS

The fruit of our lips is referring to being thankful.

We must give heartfelt praises.

“By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.” Hebrews 13:15
