Unlimited Forgiveness

"To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we rebelled against Him;" Daniel 9:9

Have you been hurtful to someone else?

Have you been hurt by someone else?

What are you going to do with that hurt?

every time you see that person do you still feel angry and resentful towards them?

Do you have a plan for revenge?

Do you ever sit and think about how you are going to make that person pay?

You have to give an answer for these before you can truly have that intimate relationship with the Father.

With God we will know how to respond.

"Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you." Ephesians 4:31-32

As God in Christ forgave us so we are to forgive those who have hurt us.

When we don't forgive our relationship will not survive no matter with whom it is with, friends, family, co workers, or even with God!

We must make the decision to forgive, even the little hurts.

We must let go of every hindrance of every kind of unforgiveness.

Has He forgiven you?

We must then forgive.

It it difficult for us?

Should it be?

We must come to that point in our walk with Him that we just hand it over to God.

We need to stop whining and having our pitty parties.

Jesus has not commanded us to do something that He has not already done.

Jesus made forgiveness a command.

Peter asked, "How many times shall I forgive?" Matthew 18:21

Jesus responded seventy times seven.

He was not talking in mathematical figures, He was referring to unlimited forgiveness!

When we forgive we are to forget.

We have that power within us to obey His commands and to forgive no matter what the circumstances, how wrongly we were hurt or hurt someone else.

The reason that we do not forgive is that we are bound by fear.

We don't want to forgive because we are afraid of being hurt again.

We are afraid of not being able to bounce back after all the damage.

We all at some point in our life have went out of our way to avoid that someone, or treat them with less warmth and love because they have hurt us in some way.

In God's eyes everything less than love is sin.

We are not to let our light fall short of the love of God because of our attitude.

Many of us are walking in unforgiveness and are in darkness.

"This then is the message which we have heard of Him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as He is the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin." ! John 1:5-7

A man who does not forgive hates his brother.

If you are outside of God's light even by one step then it is hate.

We must make the decision each day to forgive, even those little hurts.

Our forgiveness does not have anything to do with what they did or did not do to us, or what we did or did not do to them.

We are to forgive because He has forgiven us even in the midst of our sin.

When we don't forgive we are saying that His blood was not enough.

We are essentially going out from under His protective covering.

We are stepping into the darkness where the devil can take all sorts of shots.

We need to forgive and keep walking in the light.

When we forgive it is most powerful.

When we walk in forgiveness then we are walking in victory.

"And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of kings of the earth. Unto Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in His own blood, " Revelation 1:5
