Jesus: The Only way!

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me." John 14:6

There are some religious figures out there who have said that there is alternative ways to God.

Our culture today accepts many different theories on how to reach God.

Just so you know - There is Only One true way.

The way to salvation is through Jesus Christ.

First and foremost we must realize that we are separated from God by sin.

"Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for all have sinned." Romans 5:12

"For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the Obedience of one shall many be made righteous." Romans 5:19

Adam fell - Jesus redeemed us.

God's grace in action.

There is no soul around that has not sinned.

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23

None of us can live a perfect life because we all have sinned.

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23

Sin has only one result: death.

Sin cannot be erased by good morals, right living, or a more intense awareness.

God came to the earth as a human.

Came as a baby, lived as a man, and died to save us.

Jesus wanted to show us much more than how to love and live better.

Jesus came to save us from the penalty of sin.

Jesus was/is God in the flesh.

Jesus as a human never sinned, therefore He satisfied the requirements of the Father.

"And He is the propitiation for our sins:" 1 John 2:2

"For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin: that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him." 2 Corinthians 5:21

Jesus became the penalty for our sin!

Jesus became the necessary sacrifice to wipe out the penalty of sin for us.

Jesus offered His life in exchange for ours!

Only His blood, the sacrifice of His perfect life, was pure enough to remove our penalty of death.

There is no other person or religion that can or will offer that kinda sacrifice.

Jesus last words before He died were..."It is finished." John 19:30

With this statement Jesus was not merely proclaiming the end of His life on earth.

He was proclaiming the end of sins upon all who would believe.

"I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am He, ye shall die in your sins." John 8:24

Jesus died not because He was weak or unable to avoid death, but to make a way back to God for the fall of humanity.

If Jesus story had ended with His death: death would still rule us all, because it would have ruled Him.

On the third day, Jesus conquered death, hell and the grave.

Jesus conquered death by coming back to life and rising from the grave.

Jesus defeated the power of sin once and for all.

"For in that He died, He died unto sin once: but in that He liveth, He liveth unto God. Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:10, 11

Any other suggested way to God, based on anything else than the sacrifice of Jesus, is simply not powerful enough to take care of our sin.

Only through the gracious gift of Jesus Christ, can we be forgiven our sin.

"No man can come to Me, except the Father which hath sent Me, draw him." John 6:44a

"Forasmuch as there is none like unto Thee, O Lord; Thou art great, and Thy name is great in might." Jeremiah 10:6

Jesus: First in Everything

"For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisable, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him: and He is before all things, and by Him all things consist." Colossians 1:16-17

Is He first in your life?

Does His preeminence show in your life?

Do you know that you will never experience the fullness of His joy till you give Him that first place in your life?

You will never experience that fullness of joy, that you were created to know until Jesus Christ has first place in your life.

First Place.

First in your home.

First in your money.

First in you decisions.

First in your thoughts.

First in your marriage.

First in your singleness.

First in your relationships.

First in you choice of entertainment.

First in your career.

First in your dreams.

First in your future plans.

How many of us would actually take hold, and embrace letting Him be first in our life in such a way that it affects and changes our behavior?

We will never experience the fullness of joy that I was created to know until I put Jesus Christ first in every area of my life.

There are a lot of people that will say yes, to that intellectually, but actually doing that for them is another story.

Putting God first is quiet as easy as one thinks, it takes practice.

Call on His name for Him to help you make Him first in your life.

Don't just call on Him in times of need.

Make Jesus a priority each and every day.

Get into His Word.

The most amazing thing is not that Jesus created us for Himself.

The most amazing thing to me is that He has chosen us, in His incredible grace, to love us, to dwell with us & in us, and to forgive us.

There is so much more than we will ever know about our omnipotent, wonderful heavenly Father than we will ever know.

Think about your life.

How many times have you done wrong?

How many times have you asked for forgiveness?

Have you ever thought about His persistent love?

Have you ever thought about how many times He has faithfully pursued you, in spite of yourself?

The times that you have sinned, or rejected God, how amazing is it that He has not left you.

Have you ever thought about how many times, you have said, not now.

I will come to you when I need you.

There is not a problem around that you can afford to face without that complete continuous dependence upon Him!

There is no burden that you can carry that Jesus can't carry for you!

There is no sin that you are struggling with that can't be taken care by His glory.

We are here to bring Him glory, and to make Him known.

He is our purpose: and we find our greatest joy when He is at the center of our lives.

Tell Him Thank You for not giving up on you.

Then ask Him to let you know the joy that comes with giving Him first place in every area of your life.

You will be amazed at how much joy you will get.

Don't be alarmed if it doesn't happen over night, keep being persistent, cause persistence pays off.

In the end you will be glad that you did not give up.

The is not yours, but the Lords!

Give Him the glory and honor that He rightly deserves.

Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created." Revelation 4:11

My prayer for you...

"Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth." Psalm 46:10

I pray of all the gifts that you recieve today, the greathest being that of the revelation of Jesus.

A revelation of the baby Jesus, who is wrapped in a warm blanket of His Father's Love!

I pray that you, my friends will know all that you are and all that you will be is wrapped up in His love for you!

Take time today, and everyday to be still and know that Jesus is Lord!

"The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day." Isaiah 2:11

Jesus - The reason for the Season...

Jesus is Better than...
Santa lives at the North Pole.

JESUS is everywhere.
Santa rides in a sleigh

JESUS rides on the wind and walks on the water.
Santa comes but once a year

JESUS is an ever present help.
Santa fills your stockings with goodies

JESUS supplies all your needs.
Santa comes down your chimney uninvited

JESUS is as close as the mention of His name.
Santa lets you sit on his lap

JESUS stands at your door and knocks.. and then enters your heart.
You have to stand in line to see Santa

JESUS lets you rest in His arms.
Santa doesn't know your name, all he can say is "Hi little boy or girl, What's your name?"

JESUS knew our name before we did. Not only does He know our name, He knows our address too. He knows our history and future and He even knows how many hairs are on our heads.
Santa has a belly like a bowl full of jelly

JESUS has a heart full of love.
All Santa can offer is HO HO HO

JESUS offers health, help and hope.
Santa says "You better not cry"

JESUS says "Cast all your cares on me for I care for you.
Santa's little helpers make toys

JESUS makes new life, mends wounded hearts, repairs broken homes and builds mansions.
Santa may make you chuckle but JESUS gives you joy that is your strength.
While Santa puts gifts under your tree

JESUS became our gift and died on the tree.

It's obvious there is really no comparison.

We need to remember WHO Christmas is all about.

We need to put Christ back in Christmas.

Jesus is still the reason for the season!

May the Lord Bless and Watch over you and your loved ones this Christmas season.

May He prosper and bless the work of your hands in the New Year.

Going through a storm?

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose." Romans 8:28

God causes all things to work together for good.

Things just don't work together for good.

All things are caused by God, He is in all things, therefore they turn out good.

Bitterness, being hostile, anger or anything such does not bring out good.

God desires that we would have and walk in an intimate relationship with Him.

Have you let those blessings that He has given you, to become a distraction?

Storms come to get our attention.

Storms come when we get out of His will.

Storms come when our priorities are misplaced.

Could this storm have risen because you my friend, have strayed from God?

These types of storms are made for us to realize that we need God.

God must be our everything.

So, is your faith strong enough to stand and walk with Him, even through the midst of dark times?

Do you have an intimate relationship with Him?

Sometimes we need a storm to shake us out of being lazy, sluggish, or indifferent, or being disobedient or even back slidden.

So what has your attention?

Have you let other things distract you, and kept your attention off Him?

We must keep our attention upon Him.

If you have found yourself in a storm, He may trying to get your attention.

The stronger the storm, the deeper the valley, the more the pain, tells us how long we've been going in the wrong direction or how long it takes you to listen to hear His voice.

Storms also come to teach us things.

Things that we would not normally hear otherwise.

God is making us into His image.

Who doesn't want to be a vessel in which He can pour out His fragrant oil from?

He wants to be able to use at any moment.

A willing vessel must first be broken.

Brokenness, heartache, and pain are all things that we go through, because of what God wants to do in us and through us.

We must be broken vessels before God can use us.

It is through the storms of life that break us, and conform us, so that we will totally rely on God.

Do you want to be an available vessel for God to be able to use you?

God can use a broken vessel to help in the lives of others.

Only when we let God break this sinful, rebellious nature, and we say "Not my will, but thine O, Lord," then He can use us to bless others.

He will make you useful to others.

God will turn your brokenness into a valuable tool that He can use.

Nothing else will matter except you wanting to please your heavenly Father.

Have you let Him open up your heart, and break, shape and mold you?

He will use you to that maximum potential that He has placed in you.

Potential for Him to use, cause you have surrendered to Him.

God will make a way while you are in the midst of that storm.

Do we always understand the reasoning for the storms - No we don't.

No matter, how long, how deep, how intense, or even how lonely the storm, God has something good for you, when you come through the storm.

Storms also reveal our doubts.

Our doubts about what or how we believe in God.

If everything is going good do you question God?

When a storm arises, are you questioning Him about the storm?

Why God, Why?

Walking through those difficult times, hardships, trials and storms teach us not to doubt Him.

God proves Himself present, powerful, protective, compassionate, and sensitive through the storms of life.

What an awesome God!

So, How do you believe during the storms of life?

How do you fare through the storms of life?

These tests and trials of everyday life storms may or may not bring rain or winds, but the danger is just as great.

"And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of christ may rest upon me." 2 corinthians 12:9
