Daily Bread

"I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my daily bread?" Job 23:12

Do you eat daily?

Have you ever stopped to think how many times a day you eat?

What kind of food do you eat?

How often do you eat?

None of us would deprive our bodies any food.

So, how come we deprive our spirit's God's Word?

We should not just hear God's Word in a crisis, or just cause it is convenient.

We must learn to cherish it as a hidden treasure.

The hidden treasure should be the highlight of our day.

We should have regard to God's Word!

Do you have a regard to God's Word?

Have you learned to discipline yourself, by spending time daily in the Scriptures?

"All Scripture is God breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." 2 Timothy 3:16-17 NIV

One will be more able to hear His voice more clearly when we spend time seeking Him on a daily basis.

"You seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart." Jeremiah 29:13 NIV

Do you give God a Sacrifice of Praise?

"By Him therefore let us offer a sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to His name." Hebrews 13:15 NASB

A sacrifice is something that is going to cost you.

Everyday praise is to be on our lips.

God is not only interested in the praise we give Him when things are going well.

God wants you to praise Him when you are in the midst of a great trial, a great difficulty, grief, sickness, oppression, depression, temptation(s), relational difficulties, and we can't forget about financial problems.

We must learn to praise the Lord out loud.

When we praise God, rather than being drawn aside by thoughts of depression, darkness, and doubt , we activate a faith factor within us that cannot be shaken or distorted.

We are the Only ones who can yield to the enemy's attacks.

God never yields; and as long as He is our goal, our hope, and the focus of our praise, we will come out winners.

When we give God the praise even in our difficult times, it means all the more to Him.

Anyone can praise God when everything is going good.

But can you praise God when all hell breaks loose, when things are difficult?

There is something about the costliness of praise during those difficult times that touches the heart of God.

God's Spirit alters the atmosphere of our way of looking at things, and things begin to be possible which never were possible.

It is the action of sacrifice that explodes us into the area of faith.

If we have something in our hearts, it will invariably find a way of expressing itself through our mouths.

"A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh." John 6:45

You can not separate what is in your heart from what comes out your mouth.

The mouth is like a faucet that lets out whatever is being held inside of ones heart.

When our hearts are filled with the Word of God and praise, we are standing in faith.

That faith will then be expressed out of our mouth.

So for that faith to move in our lives, we must have a way of expressing it...

We express it through praise.

So when we speak praise to God we are giving expression and life to the action of faith within us.

That is why praise must be spoken aloud.

When we give God a sacrifice of praise that is why it come before God as a sweet aroma, and touches His heart.

"I will bless the Lord at all times: His praise shall continually be in my mouth." Psalm 34:1

God cares what happens to You!

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on Me hath everlasting life." John 6:47

God cares what happens to you.

He wants to know you on an intimate basis.

This is going to take some commitment on your part.

Do you love God enough to tell Him that you want to know Him and live for Him each and every day?

When our focus is on Him, we quickly learn that our faith is secure.

We can trust that no matter what happens to us, His Word tells us that He is faithful even when we are not.

God never leaves us.

"If we believe not, yet He abideth faithful: He cannot deny Himself." II Timothy 2:13

Perhaps you are living far from His will, and wonder if He would ever never love you.

God created you.

No matter where you are in this world, He gave You life.

He loves You!

He does not love sin, but He certainly loves you!

Sin, addictions, and certain situations often seem hopeless to us.

But, not to God!

He will direct you in His Word, the Bible, to help you understand how you can leave temptation behind.

Sometimes this requires talking with a Christian Counselor, A good godly friend that you can trust and confide in, even your Pastor of your Church.

One thing is for certain, God will not abandon you.

If you ask Him for help, He will do it. He will cleanse you from your sins, and free you to walk in the newness of life in Him.

"Therefore we are buried with Him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in the newness of life." Romans 6:4

Salvation is the first step.

The moment that you pray for Christ to come into your heart, He does just that.

He transfers your life from one of eternal death to a life of eternal life.

There's nothing you can say or do to save yourself.

Apart from accepting Christ as your Savior there is no eternal life.

He is calling you - are you going to answer that call?

He has patiently been waiting, loving you all the time.

If you have never accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior, you can do this right now.

Just tell Him you love Him and that you realize you have not lived your life His way.

Ask for His forgiveness.

Ask Him to receive and help you live this new life in Him.

Ask Him to teach you His ways and help you to understand how to live a life in freedom and truth.

"For Thou art great, and doest wondrous things: Thou art God alone. Teach me Thy ways, O Lord; I will walk in Thy truth: unite Thy heart to fear Thy name. I will praise Thee, O Lord, my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify Thy name forevermore." Psalm 86:10-12

What is life all about?

"The Only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love." Galatians 5:6b NASB

So, what is life all about?

What's most important?

You were born to love and be loved.

Did you know that?

Our purpose in life goes far beyond earning a living, taking care of family, or even just trying to make it through from day to day.

We were created by God to have a fulfilling, one on one relationship with Him.

We are to share this love with others.

We live in a complex world, filled with emotional pain, and social problems.

Jesus answer is absolutely clear: the entire point of man kinds existence comes down to love.

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in Love:{Can't be holy apart from His love}: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, To the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He hath made us accepted in the beloved." Ephesians 1:3-6
*Bold print is not part of these scriptures*

From the moment of conception, and even before that, God has loved you!

When you were in your mother's womb, He put you together, nerve by nerve, cell by cell, carefully fashioning you as a unique handiwork.

For Thou hast possessed my reins: Thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise Thee; for I am feaItalicrfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are Thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. My substance was not hid from Thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in Thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there were none of them." Psalm 139:13-16

"Before I formed thee in the belly I Knew thee;" Jeremiah 1:5a

God know you intimately, even better than you know yourself.

He wants you to know and love Him in return.

The God who created us has not abandoned us to go blindly through life.

He has provided at great expense, all that we need for life and godliness.

God, He is our personal Creator!

He wants to be your Shepherd who protects and provides for you.

He has proclaimed His love for us, and He waits only for our response.

God's goal for your life is that you come to know Him as the One, true God.

Through knowing God, you will come to know Him on a personal level.

A one on one intimacy with Him.

An intimacy that just the two of you share together.

You will come to worship and serve Him, praising and honoring the Lover of your soul.

You will want to serve and honor Him with your words and your life.

God did not have to make you.

God does not need us the same way that we need Him.

God does not need us in the same way that we need each other, companionship's or food or water.

God is complete and lacks nothing.

But He chose to create You!

He chose to bring you into being as a person to receive His divine affection, and for you to give affection back to Him.

This fellowship means everything to God.

"Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power; for Thou hast created all things, and for Thy pleasure they are and were created." Revelation 4:11

"For By Him we were all created, that are in heaven, and that are in the earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him and for Him: And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist."
Colossians 1:16-17

What is the meaning of life?

This is an age old question.

What is the meaning of life?

So, in just a few short thoughts I want to give my perspective, Biblically speaking that is.

What is the meaning of life?

It is exactly what Jesus said it is.

Receiving the love of God and allowing Him to use you to give it to someone else.

"The Only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love." Galations 5:6b NASB
