Expressions of Gratitude

"For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain." Philippians 1:21

What will be your last words?

Although we don't know the time or place, we do know that we will all die.

Knowing this...

Have I made it my life goal to share the gospel with as many people as possible during my lifetime?

If not sharing the gospel, what am I doing with my life?

Have I lived my life in such a way that when I die, there will be a legacy of faith and trust in You alone?

Will people remember me for my love and devotion to You, my Lord?

The Spirit is the highest part of us.

Animals have souls, but only mankind has a Spirit that makes fellowship with God possible.

At death our Spirit will depart somewhere, either to the eternal light or the eternal darkness.

Jesus commanded His Spirit, to the Father.

Placing Himself with assurance into the Father's care.

The good news is that you and I can die with the confidence.

What is God showing you about how you should live your life?

What priorities need to be changed so that my life will be more purposeful for His eternal kingdom?

"I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me." Galatians 2:20

A life that belongs to Him.

"For Thou art great, and doest wondrous things: Thou art God alone. Teach me Thy way, O Lord; I will walk in Thy truth: unite my heart to fear Thy name. I will praise Thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart; and I will glorify Thy name for evermore." Psalm 86: 10-12

I am part of the fellowship of the unashamed.

I have the Holy Spirit's power living in me.

The dye has been cast, I've stepped over the line.

The decision has been made. I am a disciple of His.

I will not look back, let up, slow up, back away or be still.

My past has been redeemed.

My present makes sense, and my future secure.

I am finished with low living, smooth knees, colorless dreams, worldly talking, sight walking and cheap giving.

I no longer need prosperity, position, promotions, or popularity.

I don't have to be right, first, recognized, or praised.

I don't have to be regarded or rewarded as now I choose to live by Faith.

I lean on His presence, walk by patience, am uplifted by prayer and labor with His power.

My face is set, the gait is fast, my goal is Heaven!

The road is narrow, way is rough, and few companions.

My Guide is reliable.

My mission clear.

I can not and will not be bought, detoured, lured away, deluded, delayed or compromise my faith.

I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of the enemy.

I will not ponder at the pool of popularity or meander in the maze of mediocrity.

I will not give up, shut up or let up till I have stayed up, stored up, prayed up, and paid up.

I am a disciple of Jesus!

I must go till He comes, give till I drop, preach till all know and work till He stops me.

When He comes for His own, I pray He will have no problem recognizing me.

I pray my banner will be clear for Him to see.

I wanted to share something that I wrote over 20 years ago, to encourage you that with God All things are possible.

All things are possible in whom we love and serve, without Him we cannot survive!

I had someone recently tell me that these were great ideas.

Honey, these ain't ideas.

They are a way of life.

True love brings a deep longing to follow Him, for we know that nothing else will do.

There is none like you, Lord.

Lord, I trust You, I worship you, with all that is in me.

You are so wonderful, so beautiful, so powerful, so worthy!

Having His love in us, we will want to do everything that is in us for Him.

He gave everything for us.

With His love flowing through us, One will want to give it all back to Him.

There is no greater love than this.

"For the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship Him." John 4:23

"I can of mine own self do nothing;" John 5:30a

Today is just a simple thought to ponder...

Change is often the result of a simple adjustment in how we respond in and too a given situation.

"Rejoice in the Lord always [delight, gladden yourselves in Him;] again I say rejoice!"
Philippians 4:4
