What's in your house?

"Welcome to the Living Stone, the source of life. The workmen took one look and threw it out; God set it in the place of honor. Present yourselves as building stones for construction of a sanctuary vibrant with life, in which you'll serve as holy priests offering Christ approved lives to God. The Scriptures provide precedent." 1 Peter 2:4-6

Is our life built on the firm foundation of Jesus Christ?

Without a solid foundation, any building will eventually collapse.

Our lives should be built upon that foundation of Christ.

Those who live by His design, His Word, rest fully on the Only secure foundation.

"Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; steadfast love and faithfulness go before You." Psalm 89:14

So, how do we go about living this abundant life by God's design?

"Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; and walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given Himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savour." Ephesians 5:1-2

We need to learn to keep company with Him.

We need to live a life of love that only comes from Him.

We need to live and love not looking for anything in return.

Christ first loved you and gave His love for you!

We need to learn to live a life that is not selfish.

It is all about Him, and Him alone!

"If He is not everything in your life ; He is not anything in your life!"
-Pastor Steve Solomon

Have you ever thought about the different pieces of furniture or places in your home?

Does Jesus keep company in your home?

Are the floors carpeted with forgiveness?

Does it provide support for your knees?

Does the carpet cushion your falls?

Are the walls shaded in Grace?

Do you have love seats around the room?

Is there a lamp at the center of the room?

Does the Light that never goes out come streaming from it?

Does the music of hope and praise bounce off the walls?

Do the pictures on the walls tell stories of those who carried their crosses, and by His grace crucified their lives and old desires?

Do those stories encourage all who live in Jesus?

So, have you walked through that door?

As one of God's precious children, you have an open invitation to go through the Door, Jesus Christ.

We should realize that we have inherited a better life that we dreamed.

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the Truth, and the Life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me." John 14:6
