A Song of Thankfulness...

"O come let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. let us come before His presence with thanksgiving and make a joyful noise unto Him with psalms. For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above All gods." Psalm 95:1-3

Could you sit down and write a psalm of thankfulness to God?

A Psalm is a sacred song. It is holy and dedicated to a person or purpose and is regarded with reverence (a deep respect and awe).

Sounds to me like it would be a song from one s heart to the Lord.

What is the Song in your heart singing?

Is it praise n worship or adoration for God?

Or

Are you singing a song for the world?

What is in your heart?

What is in your heart will come out.

"Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life."
Proverbs 4:23

What is in your heart?

Would it be easy for you or would you hafta work at writing a Psalm?

"Sing unto the Lord a new song; Sing to the Lord all the earth. Sing to the Lord, bless His name; Proclaim good tidings of His salvation from day to day. Tell of His glory among the nations, His wonderful deeds among all the peoples. For great is the Lord and greatly to be praised; He is to be feared above all gods. for all gods of the peoples are idols, But the Lord made the heavens. Splendor and majesty are before Him, Strength and beauty are in His sanctuary." Psalm 96:1-6 New American Standard

God's Word is Living and Active

"For the Word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart." Hebrews 4:12 - New American Standard

It is the Word of God that reveals our true self.

Are we Spiritual or Natural?

The soul is the invisible part of our life that we are by nature.

The Spirit is what we are by the supernatural rebirth through Jesus Christ, Our Lord.

"What is born of [from] the flesh is flesh [of the physical is physical]; and what is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not [do not be surprised, astonished] at My telling you that you must all be born anew (from above)." John 3:6-7Amplified Bible

Are we born of God and Spiritually alive or are we deceiving ourselves and Spiritually dead?

Are the thoughts and intentions of our heart natural or spiritual?

It is Only through the Word of God that can judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

It is the Word of God in which pierces us deep enough to show us the truth of our thoughts, our motives, our selves.

The Word of God is life and truth!

It is when we have that Life in us we will truly know His joy and have a right heart to obey.

When we give ourselves to His Word then it will be His Words that come forth, not our own.

His Word is more precious than any earthly treasure we could ever want or imagine.

Father, confirm our faith and make us real through and through. Make us mighty through Your faithfulness for we are weak in ourselves. Let Your light so shine through us that others would know that it is You and not us. We need Your strength, for You to be the Only strength of our lives. Let us experience the Word of God to its fullest. Help us to become a people rooted once again. Thank You for it in advance for satisfying us with Yourself!

"As the water reflects the face, so the heart reflects the person." Proverbs 27:19 - New American Standard Version
