Finding Beauty in Everyday Discoveries

Finding beauty in everyday Discoveries

"And ye shall seek Me, and find me, when ye shall search for Me with All your heart." Jeremiah 29:13

From here to there and everywhere in between.

Each of us experience in between seasons in our life. There are many different seasons that we go through here are just a few…between young and old, between being born and dying, between starting and finishing, between doubt and fear, between breaths, between coming and going, between giving and receiving, and between yes and Amen. These are just to name a few of the in between times that we all go through in our life, there are many more that were not added, but here is a start.

Most of us get so busy we forget to see all that God has for us each and every step of the way every day. We forget the importance of living in the now, living in the present and taking in all the little hidden treasures of the current day. Life itself is a series of in betweens, and we are between one thing or another on a daily basis. We must learn to listen to that small still voice, so that we don’t miss the messages or treasures that are found in the moment. Life gives us so many opportunities for being in between circumstances, things of everyday occurrences.

Everyday there are treasures full of opportunity that are filled with hope, guidance, comfort, peace, promise, perspective, growth, wisdom and rest. All of these things symbolize a passage from justification through sanctification and onto glorification. When we find that treasure in everyday life, then the transformation of the struggle will turn into an adventure.

Have you ever had the impulse when lying to tell the truth?

Have you ever noticed the eyes of the stranger and had an impulse to say something but never did?

I believe we all hear some sort of voice calling, speaking to us like a deep inner intuition.

Some of us are waiting for that unfamiliar voice of God to speak.

We need to learn how to train our heart and our ears toward that heavenly voice, which is not always easy. We must learn how to silence the noise around us. Just as a young boy named Samuel did.

The young Samuel was unfamiliar the Father’s voice and mistook it for Eli the priest voice. Samuel was called three times before sunrise before Eli finally recognized that it was the voice of God calling Samuel. Eli told Samuel to go back to bed, and when he heard the voice again to say yes Lord, your servant is listening. Eli told Samuel to acknowledge the voice of God and listen. (Read 1 Samuel 3 for the complete story.)

Most of us are uncomfortable with the silence. We often try to fill up the quiet with every noise and all the busyness that we can everyday. We fill up this silence because we are afraid that He will not be enough. But. He does fill the silence with His indescribable presence, which isn’t loud, but with a sense of peace. On very rare occasions, yes, we do hear that voice, that will cut through all our personal noise.

Have you ever felt empty, confused, or lonely and there seems to be a knocking on your heart, a void in the inner most part of your being?

As we long to be free the voice on the inside hears our cries. He wants us to embrace everything, but at the same time hold on to nothing but Him. He Wants us to get rid of our hidden agenda’s, our secrets, and all that is not true or good. Some may say this is foolish or uncomfortable or maybe that you’ve even been hurt when you’ve tried to reach out and there is nothing left. Maybe you have even felt like running only to be knocked back down and unable to move.

It is the hand of the Savior that touches, comforts and heals our heart, and our wounds. We are then at that moment reminded of the forgiveness that was shown to us, which then it turns is an opportunity for us to show forgiveness, because it is the life of Christ who reside in me as is the life blood of our soul. Christ promised never to leave or forsake us.

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as you have: for He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” Hebrews 13:5

How full of Him we are varies on our level of surrender and our relationship with Him.

Have you ever that that there was nothing here for you? Or maybe all that you could do was cry at the pains as if the windows of your soul had opened up and there were rivers that had been locked up your whole life, suddenly was all washed away, all your secrets, the deceit, the lying, drinking, gambling….etc… That rushing river washed away everything that didn’t belong. You might have felt like nothing, but at the same time there was this wonderful soft, warm feeling, We are to take hold of this, for this is the missing element that makes us free, and is found in everything. That missing element is God.

It is God who makes us conscious of that missing element. We will be restless until we find our rest in God and God alone. Everything else will fill the void for the moment, but when its all over there is that emptiness again. I have by no means mastered anything, but am trying my best to enjoy that treasure that is on the inside.

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves.” 2 Corinthians 4:7 Life application study Bible

I am sure of this, that the One who knows me by name, and sings His songs over me, knows the very thoughts and intents, the very whispers of my soul. He see s all my blemishes and acknowledges them, for I can do nothing in my own strength.

That He would grant you according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man; that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye being rooted and grounded in love.” Ephesians 3:16-17

His strength must become our strength, for there simply is no way we can make it on our own.

We must have a daily communion with Him so that our will sill become surrendered to His will. We are to be filled and continually being filled with Him, so that we can properly take care of that treasure which has freely been given to us.

Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.” 1 Corinthians 2:12

This ungraspable sense of eternity all of who is God; which we long for is the One whom causes us to feel things such as the pride of our brief satisfactions of this world. Our search must not be for meaning, but for God who gives meaning. Happiness cannot be achieved, it must be received. Joy and fulfillment are not something that we can make up, work at or do. They are Only in the hands of the One who is eternally Sovereign. The Sovereign God who planted such things in our heart is the only One who can satisfy it. All is from God, and in God!

Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for Thou hast created All things, and for Thy pleasure they are and were created.” Revelation 4:11

When we hold a mirror up to our life pursuits, the only thing that it will show us is our breath, which is borrowed from Him who made us. We might try and catch a breath, but just as we think we have caught it, it’s gone again and we are I pursuit of another. We need to learn to live in the moment, for soon it will be gone and we will be in search of another. Even though I know I’m in the moment its still gets frustrating. We must come to rely on the breath of Heaven to sustain us. For one day we will be sharing in His presence, but for now we wait abiding in Him, anticipating our transformation.

You must hold onto nothing as you hold onto Me! Before the world was…I Am
