Saved By Grace.

We as humans need to realize just how little we are involved in the process of Salvation.

God is the One whom saves us by His grace.

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: according as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love. Having predestinated us into the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of His will. to the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He hath made us accepted in the beloved: in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace." Ephesians 1:1-7

In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our sins.

Salvation was God's idea, He chose us before the foundation of the world.

Forgiveness through salvation is the work of God.

It is a precious and gracious gift given to you and me.

"By grace have you been saved through faith; not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast." Ephesians 2:8-9 NASB

once most people are saved they have this mentality that they can prove the love to God through works/service.

There is only one way to show your devotion to Him, and that is through total surrendaer.

It is the offering of our lives back to Him who created us.

It is knowing hat His gift of eternal life out weighs anything we could do or hope to accomplish in His name.

God does not change! Aren't ya glad of that.

He did not save us on the basis of who we are or what we have done, or what we will do in the future.

He saved us based on what His Son did on the cross.

All of us have sinned, fallen short of what is acceptable in His sight.

God has chosen a way by which our sins; past present and future are forgiven.

God delivers us from sin, and then gives us the opportunity to know Him through an intimate relationship with Him.

We all have a sin problem, because of the fall of man.

We compare ourselves to others instead of comparing themself and their life to Jesus, the Only Son of God.

The one willing to die for you and me because He loved us so much and He wanted to do His Father's will.

God is the one whom calls us.

"No man can come to Me, except the Father which hath sent Me draw him:" John 6:44a

When God forgives, it is gone never to be remembered again.

Christ forgivenss for my salvation took care of the penalty of my sin.

Jesus paid our debt in full that day on the cross.

Every sin that i have ever committed or will commit is forgiven.

Does that mean we go out and sin. No!! Heaven forbid.

When we sin we are to acknowledge the wrong choices/decisions as a believer, and ask for His forgiveness for yielding to that temptation.

Our need for a Savior does not end the moment we are saved.

Honey, its just beginning, for this is were we become totally dependat upon HIm and Him alone.

We need Jesus evry turn in life.

We must come to the point where He that is in us is greater than any temptaion to yield to sin.

That is the key to getting the victory, is yielding to Him.

We need His protection, provision , guidance and forgiveness.

Isn't it great to know that we have an advocate with the Father.

Jesus is that someone who will stand with us.

"If we say we have no sin, we decieve ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His Word is not in us. My little children, these things I write unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous." 1 John 1:8-2:1

Trust and Obey

"Then Peter, and the apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men." Acts 5:29

Don't be decieved:sin affects everyone it  He has a plan for you.touches.

It hurts not only the person directly involved, but those who are close as well.

Look at Jonah 1:4-6.

Jonah's actions almost cost the lives of all who were aboard the ship.

Jonah's job was to obey the Lord.

God's will is not open for discussion.

Most of us think that it is, nope, sorry it isn't!!

Most of us look at the situation and see that it doesn't fit the way we believe that God operates, therefore we end up not doing  what  He wants us to do.

Which is the same reason for Jonah's rebellion.

When God sends you a certain direction be assured that He has a plan for you.

"For I know the thoughts that I think towards you saith the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end." Jeremiah 29:11

God wants us to arrive at His destination in His time and not that of our own time.

When we take our own course of action that will most definately lead us to a place away from His will.

When we obey with joy, we prove that the God of all satisfying hope is real in our life!

The will of God will never take you where the grace of God will not protect you.

Do you have?

The most important thing to God is your personal relationship with Him.

I'm not talking about how much you serve Him, or how much you give to Him.

The more intimate we become with God, the better we learn His ways.

When we are still and trust Him, He will show us how to respond.

God desires to provide the best for us, through His wisdom and His guidance.

But we must be in that position to except His guidance.

your love for Him will grow deeper as you allow Him to teach you about who He is and not just who someone says He is.

"Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you." James 4:8

Do You?

Do you worship God?

Do you think He is distant?

God is not a distant God.

He is a Father to us, and we are His children.

Our life is lived out before Him.

Our life is relational, first to God, and then to others.

Have we forgotten how to worship Him?

Worshiping God is not doing so because someone told you too or is a daily procedure.

I can't tell you how to worship, worship is only found by experiencing it for yourself, not someone telling you or making you.

One can not learn worship apart from doing it for yourself.

We become like that we worship.

So what is it that has your time?

God is more than worthy of our time and attention.

Worship is simply meaningless unless it is solely for His sake, for His glory, or for His Kingdom.

When we worship we are to remember who owns the house.

So I leave this thought with you today...

What do you worship?

What has all your time?

It is Him?? or things of this world??

"Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but unto Thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for Thy truth's sake."  Psalm 115:11

To God alone belongs the glory!

"You might as well as well quit reading and hearing the Word of God and give it to the devil if you do not desire to live according to it." - Martin Luther

One's beliefs are far better described by our Character than words.

Far too many of us spend our time and energy talking about our beliefs than living by them.

Our life is a book, it has many chapters.

Is your life a picture of your creed?

A creed is a statement or belief - usually a statement of faith that describes the beliefs shared by a religious

Does your actions agree with your beliefs?

Do ya practice what you preach?

Does your lifestyle that of what you believe or is it contrary to what you say.

Do you live one way and talk another?

Your faith shouldn't be separated from everyday life, but entwined through it.

One's beliefs should be woven into the very fabric of everyday life.

Today and everyday we should make certain that our actions are guided by God's Word.

It is up to you, no one can make you study the Bible or study it for you.

You have got to study it for yourself.

God will honor you as you honor Him.

"I do not seek to understand that I may believe; but I believe in order to understand." St. Augustine

"I am not ashamed: for I know in whom I have believed, and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed unto Him against that day." 2 Timothy 1:12

Are You led by God's Word?

Are you led by God's Word?

"Teach me Thy way O Lord; I will walk in Thy truth: unite my heart to fear Thy name." Psalm 86:11

Do you trust God's Holy Word and use it as an absolutely necessary, essential tool to guide your steps?

Or do you go a different route?

God's Word is or should be our ultimate road map for life.

His wisdom and truth never fails!

"Anything that comes to us from the God of the Word will deepen our love for the Word of God." - A.W. Tozer

"Teach me, O Lord, the way of Thy statutes; and I shall keep it unto the end." Psalm 119:33

He is Worthy!!

"Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power; for Thou hast created all things for Thy pleasure they are and were created." Revelation 4:9-11

Worship is not just worship.

Worship is breaking past the barriers that hinder us.

Worship is yielding to God.

Why wouldn't you?

It is a life of transforming power, a life of delighting in Him.

All ya have to do is let go of natural thinking and let God have all the glory that He deserves anyway.

It is seeking God, and listening to His heartbeat; waiting for God to breath on you.

We are expressing dependency upon God when we worship Him.

Question is do we seek to worship Him in all we do?

Do we only worship in song at church?

Worship is so much more than song, it involves everything that goes through our hands.

It is praising Him in all situations good, bad and even the ugly ones.

Do you give Him the glory when you go through a storm as you would when things are all ok?

"To the end that my glory may sing praise to Thee, and not be silent, O Lord, my God, I will give thanks unto Thee for ever." Psalm 30:12

All Things...

"All things move in accordance with a love and purpose formed by God before creation buy His will and power. All Things sing "to the praise of His glory." Ephesians 1:6, 12, 14

"Worship is no longer worship when it reflects the culture around us more than the Christ in us." -A.W. Tozer

The Christian life ought to be motivated by Praise and Thanksgiving.

"Thou, O Christ, art all I want, more than all in Thee I find."  -Charles Wesley

Thanksgiving is the only form of giving for which a gift have never to be earned.

Thankfulness quickly disappears quickly in our selfish human hearts.

Most people do not seem themselves as sinners; but until they (we) do: God's glorious grace will mean very little or absolutely nothing to them.

"To the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He hath made us accepted in the beloved." Ephesians 1:6

Is He your Beloved?

"Be still and know that I am God." Psalm 46:10

This verse has a command and a promise in it.

the command is to be still and the promise is that you and i will know God.

In the midst of our daily storms, or activities, we need to make it a point to be still and set our eyes/thoughts on Him.

We need to let God be God.
We should be still and listen, open and willing for what He has to say.

At the feet of Jesus is where the Father intended us to be, so that we can begin to know Him.

In order to know God we must read His Word, and study His Word, and talk to Him in prayer.

My Grandma always said that we should be on our hands and knees until we are satisfied in Him. For me that meant to you know Him.

You can always tell a whole lot about a person by their knees.

So, How does your life stack up against your time at His feet?

Is there so many distractions that keep us from that all important time with Him?

Does your spirit long to be with Him?

Sitting at Jesus feet is a choice you and I must make, laying all the busyness aside so that our hearts and minds can focus on God.

At the feet of Jesus, have you been there lately?

"Let Him kiss me with the kisses of His mouth: for Thy loves is better than wine." Song of Solomon 1:1

"My Beloved is mine and I an His:" Song of Solomon 2:16a

Saved By Amazing Grace

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. Being justified freely by His grace through redemption that is in Christ Jesus: whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in His blood, to declare His righteousness for the remission of sins that are past through the forbearance of God." Romans 3:23-25

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith, and this not from yourselves, it is the Gift of God!" Ephesians 2:8

Love Came Down....

Love Came Down by Brian Johnson....

If my heart is overwhelmed and I cannot hear Your voice I hold onto what is true, though I cannot see.

If the storms of life they come, and the road ahead gets steep I will lift these hands in faith, I will believe.

I remind myself of all that you've done and the life I have because of Your Son.

Love came down and rescued me.

Love came down and set me free! I am forever Yours.

Mountain high, or valley low I sing out remind my soul, I am Yours, I am forever Yours.

When my heart is filled with hope, and every promise come my way...

When I feel Your hands of grace, rest upon me...

Staying desperate for You, God, staying humbled at Your feet...

I will lift my hands and praise, I will believe.

I am Yours. I am Yours, all my days, I am Yours.

I want to shout out to our worship leader & Associate Pastor of our church. I am glad that Pastor Donnie let's the Holy Spirit guide him, and work through him through the songs that is sang at our church. The songs that are picked through Pastor Donnie ready the heart of God's people inspire their life and teaches doctrine all at the same time.

"All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness." 2 Timothy 3:16

I am so Thankful that our worship is not based on what people want.

"God is Spirit, and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and truth." John 4:24

Without the Spirit, we can't worship, beings that the Holy Spirit is the true worship leader. Thank you Pastor Donnie for being a yielded vessel to sing doctrinally sound, Spirit led songs, that help our faith grow.
