Daily Walk with the Holy Spirit

My fountains are in You!

How many of us want to be used by Him?

How many of us make ourself available to Him?

Do we deliberately and consciously make ourself dependent upon Him?

Do we ask that He be control of our life daily even before our feet the floor?

How many of us say, I'm yours Lord use me, but just go on about their own agenda?

Hmmm some good questions to consider.

We daily need Him, moment by moment to help us be that branch that abides in the Vine.

We daily need to lean upon Him so that we may be a tool, a vessel for you to use today.

All our strength comes from You, for I can not accomplish anything without You! I am dependent upon You, O Lord, this day belongs to You and no day is a waste, so help me walk in faith and live under Your empowering authority. For all my fountains are in You!

"Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him." John 7:38

"For with you is the fountain of life: in your light shall we see light."  Psalm 39:6

"As they make music they will sing, All my fountains are in you." Psalms 87:6   If I refuse to live by the world's philosophy, if I put all my confidence in God and continually delight in His refreshing word , then I  will grow strong and fruitful like the evergreen tree.   As I "draw water from the wells of salvation," He makes me an "oak of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified!" Isaiah 12:2; 61:3   I come often to drink from your healing, life-giving waters, take me and fill me, let rivers of living water flow from my innermost being to other thirsty and needy ones. Thank you, precious Heavenly Father for You are the precious Fountain of Life!

The Sword...

"Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the firey darts of the wicked, and take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God." Ephesians 6:17

The Word of God is an offensive and defensive weapon wielded against the wiles of the devil. He flees in the face of the wisdom of Christ.

A life steeped in Scripture is able to expose the enemy’s half truths.

The enemy lures a Christian to think the Lord will protect him, even if he acts irresponsibly.

But, God is not backed into a corner and forced to rescue a fool, to tempt the Lord is to dishonor Him.

Power is reserved for the Righteous One who reigns over all!

Scripture makes us wise into salvation and wise in the ways of the Lord.

What the enemy means for harm, God turns into good.

The Bible gives us strength for the journey, because walking with Jesus is an everyday exercise.

Those who are committed to Christ do not coast, but make our boast in the Lord as we busy ourselves with His work.

Spiritual games like playing church are replaced by sincere service.

Wisdom from His Word, moves us to make a difference.

"For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart." Hebrews 4:12

The Word of God gives us courage and conviction to engage the enemy.

As we study the Bible, apply its principles, so you can overcome the spiritual principalities that war against us.

Almighty God as our absolute authority!

Educated fools attempt to marginalize the Bible as an out of date history book, full of inconsistencies, but on the contrary, it is the living, breathing, inerrant word of the Lord.

The written Word of God in its entirety, is the inerrant, and is the hand written signature of God which is infallible and sufficient authority for our faith, Christian living, embracing all matters which the biblical authors address, and believe that they are supreme and final authority and life, as do I.

"We have also a more sure Word of prophecy, whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: knowing this first, that no prophecy of the Scripture is of any private interpretation. for the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost."
2Peter 1:19-21

Scripture exposes the enemies lies.

What do you have infiltrating in your heart, mind and soul?

Is your spiritual sword sharpened by success and suffering, or is it dulled by disillusionment?

Do you daily feed your faith?

Read a chapter in Proverbs based on the day of the month, or memorize verses in Psalms.

Keep your mind engaged in eternal truths, and you’ll successfully attack temporal untruths.

The Bible is your baseline for beliefs and behavior.

"Every Word of God is pure: He is a shield unto them that put their trust in Him." Proverbs 30:5

I believe that the ministry of Jesus and that of the Holy Spirit are one and inseparable!

"Where can I go from Thy Spirit? or where can i flee from Thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, Thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, Thou art there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; even there shall Thy hand lead me, and Thy right hand shall hold me."  Psalms 139:7-11

Isn't it cool that there is a link between God and us that is not only a reality, but at the same time it is inescapable.

They were always together when Jesus was on this earth, and are still together at the right hand of the Father.

If Jesus needed this stability, this partnership with the Holy Spirit, how much more do we need it in today's society?

The Holy Spirit was sent by Jesus.

"And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and saith unto them. Receive ye the Holy Ghost." John 20:22

By breathing on them to receive the Holy Spirit, Jesus was essentially giving you everything that you would need to be a victorious, successful, faith filled, overcoming child of God!

With Him at your side, you are equipped for every situation in this life!

God has chosen to interweave us together supernaturally!

So, as we learn to have fellowship with the Holy Spirit this power will flow in and through you, sustaining you through the most of all difficult times!

It is when we have no more to give, then at that moment through the Holy Spirit, He will pick up where we left off, and will finish what He started in us.

He just wants us to get out of the way.

As we fellowship with Him His will; will become our will.

It will no longer be me or I, but Yes, Lord.

"Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath began a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ." Philippians 1:6

What a wonderful and comforting thought to know that God's spirit is not just a reality, but at the same time its inescapable.

So how come some of us act like He isn't real?

I talk to Him just like you and I would talk.

"I will praise Thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvellous are Thy works; and my soul knoweth right well." Psalms 139:14

By being fearfully and wonderfully made we are equipped to grasp the Spirit's messages, and His presence, and how we being interwoven together can hear His still small voice as He talks to us.

He is a real part of my everyday life...not just my prayer life or when I'm n trouble or need help.

Do some not understand that He is our helper, our very present help, our comforter, our joy, our peace, our everything?

He has become my everything, has He become your everything?

Why do we always look to others for help before we turn to Him for help?

Yep, I'm just crazy n love with My Father! Are you in love with the Father?

"Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: and see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting." Psalm 139:23-24

"For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart." Hebrews 4:12

Do you let Him teach you?

"He shall teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you." John 14:26

Do you realize that there are still communist countries where the Bible is forbidden.

Yet there are many underground believers in those nations who know the Scriptures well.

There are many leaders and entire underground churches that have had only one Bible.

Yet, those yellow, tattered, torn pages of the Word of God mean everything to them.

They have a greater respect for the Word of God.

Not having it has made them respect it more.

They can quote it and remember it better than us in the free countries who have access to it day and night.

Shame on us, who have multiple Bibles in our home, yet don't know the Word of God!

Its amazing to see the power of God work through someone who had limited access to the Bible n know it so, n yet how it was all portrayed right back to the Cross. Only the Holy Spirit can do such work- He will fill those who are hungry and thirsty for more of Him!

"Thy Word Have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against Thee."  Psalm 119:11
